The town is a lovely, quaint little collection of streets arranged in a natural maze around the acropolis hill, and most are out of the gruelling sun, some with leafy canopies. No problem with finding a currency exchange, loads of gift shops and shops to buy Greek foodstuffs for self-caterers, and a plethora of Greek restaurants/tavernas - also English, Italian and even a Chinese and an Indian! Donkeys are available to travel around (as it is a bit hilly, especially going up to the acropolis - the donkeys will take you there). Of course, the donkeys do mean that you have to watch your step in the streets (in more ways than one!), but their "leavings" are cleared up pretty quickly, and you should pay attention, as they whiz around some corners quite fast. The beaches (3 altogether) are beautiful, sandy, sheltered and have crystal clear water. Car parking is no problem, and plenty of taxis were available from the taxi rank in the town

The hotel was near Vlicha Bay which did have 1 or 2 tavernas and 2 supermarkets. Beach umbrellas were 3 or 4 euros a day. Very clean beach but mainly shingle, the end near the Lindos Mare was more sandy. There were pedallos to hire and also jet skis, banana boat rides etc. Not much to do at night but the busy and beautiful resort of Lindos was only a short taxi ride away and there were plenty of music bars tavernas etc there.

I've never visited such a clean place. The village is beautiful and there is something for everyone. Most of the restaurants have roof gardens with gorgeous views of Lindos. The food was excellent as was the service. There are a number of bars which all served cocktails as well as the usual and a couple of nightclubs (which we never visited). Not a resort for people with walking difficulties and don't bother taking you high heels, you won't wear them. Instead take comfortable shoes with good grips on the bottom as the cobbled streets are steep and very slippery. Instead of being a modern resort this is a lovely historic village with a maze of tiny streets, very very pretty. The beaches are all of a very high standard and as they are all small bays they are safe for swimming. Water is clear and beach sandy. We paid 8 euros a day for 2 sunbeds, table and umbrella on the main beach and the bars offering food and drinks on the beach are of a high standard. Overall a fantastic holiday resort especially for couples as its very romantic. We'd definately visit again.

We had booked this deal with First Choice on line £126 per person) for 2 weeks from Bham as we wanted to do some Islands. I would not recommend LINDOS for 2 Weeks, by Rhodes standards it is Expensive and by the other Islands very expensive. Meal in Restaurant for 4 Adults, Starters Main Courses, Wine/Beer approx 80 Euros. When we got to Tilos the same set up 45 Euros. But we feel you should still visit Lindos once. The beaches at Lindos are very good, sandy shelve gentley for non swimmers but get crowded during the day with the day Trippers who come to see the Acopolis. I hope this does not put you off too much, but suggest you do as we did, start in Lindos for 2/3 days then go to Symi/Tilos or where ever you fance, the ferries are cheap as is the Accommadtion. On symi 37 Euros a night for a studio (www.symivisitor.com) and 35 Euros a night on Tilso. Ferry to Symi 6 Euros.

Lindos was great, long walk down to the town especialy in the hot heat, but there is a free bus running down the hill from 9-5. The locals were helpful and friendly, try to call in to the Oasis bar where Yannis will proberbly offer to take you out in his Red Alpha romeao Spider! look out for him! there is great entertainment up at the ampitheatre on the hill which you will here about, fridays and saturdays the club is open till sunrise and it is open top so you can dance all night under the stars. the resturants were nice you could enjoy your meal upon the rooftops where you can enjoy the lovely veiws of Lindos. definatly go back.

Lindos is very picturesque, we went for a wedding and it was perfect!
There are plenty of bars but none that are rowdy, every meal we had was very nice!
If your going for longer than a week i would recommend to hire a car and visit the rest of the island as there is only so much sun bathing that can be done.

Lindos is a clean and friendly resort. It offers a wide range of resturants to choose from, many with spectacular views of the acropolis. The beaches are clean with lovely views of Lindos. Due to its location, people with walking difficulties may find it difficult to manange the many steep hills throughout the resort. Local taxis are always avalible at cheap prices to provide transport throughout the resort. Lindos offers a wide range of bars to suit everybody from quiet tavernas to nightclubs. We have had two excellent hoildays in Lindos and are planning to return again soon!
