Not much around, go down the stairs at the hotel and you come to about 3 or 4 bars, and a small supermarket.

Lindos village is a traditional greek village not one made up for tourists there is a presevation order on the village stopping development which allows the village to keep it's greek feel.

Lindos is a very historic village that has kept a lot of it's orginal Lindian charm. It has a lot of bars, Tavernas etc.so there is plenty of choice. you can be as active or as lazy as you want to be. There are steep hills in and around Lindos. The beach is sandy and clean and safe for children. Like everywhere there is litter around the resort. The Accropolis is worth a visit. We love coming to Lindos and consider it to be our "second home"!

Lindos is a lovely village with plently of restaurants, many with rooftop gardens (I can particuarly recommend 'Kalypso Restaurant") and numerous bars.
It is a gruelling walk up from the beach (although the beach is excellant) and therefore not recommended for elderly or the disabled, I would recommend Pefkos beach (about 5km along coast road) as you can drive write down next to the beach.
Pefkos is a lovely small (at the moment!) resort with a very nice blue flag beach, it is well worth a visit.

Lindos is a great little town located on the Southeast of Rhodes (aprox. 1hr drive from Rhodes town).
The main streets in the town of Lindos are all pedestrianised and are tight and narrow and are prone to extreme hussle 'n' bussle on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. so if ya wanna see the Acropolis, go on a Thursday (change over day)
There are many great places to eat and drink, there is also a few bad places (usually the places with people at the door trying to tempt you in)
I would recommed the following places to eat and drink:
Food:
Empire of the Sun (chinese)
Symposio
Med East
Acropolis
Drink:
Ikon Bar
Yannis Bar
Socrates
I would discourage you from trying:
Lindos Resturaunt
Cheap take-away food (kebabs/pizza/crepes), they look and smell disgusting!!!!
We checked out both beaches and found quite a lot of fag butts discarded in the sand, which was quite horrible. One beach is very large with shallow water and the other is divided into 2 small beaches. Both were crammed full of sunbeds like sardines, disoppointing really. However there is a beach shack on St Pauls bay (church side) that is great for chilling out and taking the sites in, with great music and a fruit smoothie or a beer, a MUST!
**Beware of drinking spirits!!! the measures are some-what larger than here in the UK. trust me!!
Anyway, if you are going to Rhodes, make sure you check out Lindos, lovely place!! and not a Mosquito in site!!
Avoid Faluraki however, the place is a HOLE, and you WILL get bitten by mozzies!!

The resorts of Pefkos and Lindos are within walking distance but only in the day time as you need to walk along side a road.
Lots of things to do in ether of the resorts but is you are looking for something different go a little further to Lardos, with friendly locals and nice bars and restaurants (all cheaper than lindos and pefkos) this is my favourite place.

Lindos is absolutely lovely. The town is a mass of cobbled winding streets, with bars, tavernas and shops on both sides.
You'll be sitting on one of the roof terraces and notice a restaurant that you want to visit the following evening, trust me, half the fun is trying to find it the following night!!
We had a great night at Ceasars, its directly under The Acropolis, it's a father & son business and they get you up making cocktails for the whole restaurant!! Food wise, Stefanos was fantastic.
We only had a week out there and it was nowhere near enough time, there was so much more we wanted to do. I wasn't brave enough to go on the Donkeys but my daughter had a little trek round the town and thoroughly enjoyed it.
As soon as the Donkeys make a mess (if you know what I mean) a man comes along straight away and clears it.
We didn't go to the beach but saw them and they looked lovely.
There were quite a few weddings happening at St Pauls Bay, which we were told was a beautiful place to be married.
We would certainly return to Lindos but would definately book 2 weeks next time!!!

Super resort, if it was a steep walk down to the beach! Great restaurants, Alex's do a super cheese pie! All the bars in the centre of Lindos look brand new, very modern, very clean and very contemporary.

The town of Lindos is wonderful and the Acropolis was fanastic. Go early (we were there at 8.00 am via Lindos Taxi (Donkeys - scary but worth it).
Food in most of the restuarants was geat and the views from the roof terraces wonderful.
Didn't go to the beach as we were too busy staking ourselves out by the pool, but it was a bit of a walk.
Wonderful place; thoroughly recommend it.
