As we didn't mind the walking, hotfooting it down to Lindos town for an evening meal was not too bad, although I do recommend getting a taxi back from the Plaza at the end of the evening, 4 Euro's well spent!! (The price is more from the Lambis to the town).
Lindos Town is a market lovers heaven, winding streets and Donkeys!!! Give it a go, 5 Euro's each way to the Acropolis, which is a must, whether by ass or foot. If on Donkeys watch out for the man saying hello!!!!
We didn't go down to both beaches, St Pauls Bay and the main. A short visit to St Pauls, very nice for beach lovers, not very big but the calm waters were very inviting.
The views from above both beaches looked very beautiful and the small church near the main beach had regular weddings, we even saw 1 or 2 English couples in and around Lindos, what a beautiful setting and backdrop for your wedding photo's. Plenty of shops selling "designer" gear, but shop around a hat for my daughter ws 6 Euro's in one but only 3 in another.
We tried a few of the taverna's most with roof top seating areas over looking the Acropolis, our suggestion is definately the Odyssey and Stephanies. There are 2 ATM's and some English themed bars, showing Sky sports. Compared to most holidays Lindos is a little more expensive but worth it

Lindos is as picturesque as you'd expect. Its a gem in the hottest part of Rhodes. The food is plentiful- with all cuisines covered from italian to chinese. Prices are reasonable- use your head, its just like any toursit resort- if you seek you will find without too much hassle. Many lovely rooftop restaurants, ideal for a relaxing, picturesque evening meal. The entertainent is more basic than other resorts but it is something like a conservation area so its what you'd expect. The Acropolis restaurant was very good all round and the meal choice was excellent. The beaches and sea at Lindos are superb, crystal clear and not too chilly. BUT, the main Lindos beach (not Vlicha) does get very busy with a jungle of loungers and parasols. St Pauls Bay is quieter but smaller still. There is a hidden secret just outside Lindos- the beach down from the Ville di Lindos studios. Accessed from another hotel resort road the beach is huge and quiet. It is an old coral bed and therefore not a nice sandy entrance but the water is warm, beautiful and its sun exposed all day. Look out for the marine life- plentiful. If you stay at Ville Di Lindos i wouldnt even bother going into Lindos for the beaches- just go here- its perfect.

To be honest we did not move very far away from hotel as we had everything we needed there. Plenty of sunshine, Lovely Swimming Pool, Al-Carte-Restuarant overlooking the Bay ..everything you could wish for on a relaxing holiday.
Lindos is very near by suggest getting a taxi or bus doesn't cost very much at all.

We stayed in Lindos in Rhodes people are very friendly and food was lovely.
Lots of restuarants to choose from and not that dear. The village has very small streets and it is very steep so don't go if you have bad legs.
St Pauls Bay is beautiful weather is very hot if you go in high season

Lindos is something very different from the normal resort. Beware the cobbled streets as some of them can be slippery and steep. Take flat shoes! There are loads of shops, bars and eateries to choose from and of course the Acropolis which is a very steep walk up and a slippery walk down unless you choose to take a donkey. Look out for the sweet little Rhodes house that you can visit which is nestled amongst the shops and the lovely lady who is pleased for you to look around.
There are two good beaches.
Nearby Pefkos is also worth a visit. There is a wonderful Taverna there at the top of the cliff called Philosophia, quite heavenly for a long lunch overlooking the bay. Take a taxi to The Lindos Thalassa Hotel and then walk towards to sea.
Beware of the mosquitos at night and take plenty of spray, you can get badly bitten.

Our first visit to Lindos and I must say we were impressed! Something for everyone, all tastes and pockets. The beaches are beautiful; be sure to buy a mask and snorkel and go and see the fish - amazing! Be aware though, you can get a sunbed on the main beach for 4 euros but go to St Pauls Bay and you'll have to pay an incredible 8 euros!!!
With 42 restaurants, 38 bars and 4 nightclubs you certainly wont be short of something to do in the evenings. Our fave tavernas were Afrodite; so friendly and reasonably priced; Stefany's; great food! and be sure to visit Timi's Cyprus Taverna for a meze - the fish one is fantastic! There's also Indian, Chinese, Mexican and Italian if you don't fancy Greek food! Food and drinks are not cheap but not as expensive as the UK and what the hell, you're on holiday!!
Lindos is a labyrinth of tiny streets and steps winding down to the beach or up to the amazing Acropolis, the sea is warm and the weather beautiful, even at the end of October in the last week of the season we had unbroken sunshine every day.
Well worth a visit; we're DEFINITELY going back!

The resort it self was nice.
There are plenty of restaurants & bars to go to, but virtually no entertainment.
So many cats about.
A lot of the restaurants have a person to stand at the door to get people in, which is a little intimidating but you get use to it.
The beach is ok, but St Pauls Bay is recommended.
We won't visit again as it's to basic & not much on offer.

The Lindos Mare Hotel stands above Vlicha Beach. The beach below the hotel is sandy and there's an additional sunbed area on lush green grass which has a better bit of breeze and view cos it's a little up from the sand. A couple of all inc hotels dominate the lovely bay. There are also a couple of very well placed, cheerful bars and a couple of supermarkets. Lindos itself is about ten mins away by taxi - don't bother walking - it's too hot and dangerous on the main road. Lindos Mare has the best bit of the beach although any water activities are further round on the more pebbly bits
