i have now been to lindos for 3years on the trot..we were married there last year..the resort itself is brill with an endless amount of bars and restaurants from which to choose from..when you first see lindos from the main road above, you'd think that its small, but believe me when you get down into the town its a bit like dr who's tardis[so much bigger once your inside]..i took my friends and family[varying ages from 21-50] there last year when we got married and they all loved it and they all said they would deffo go back..in fact we were there this year with one of the couples that was at our wedding last year..

The old village of Lindos is a twenty minute walk away from the Lindos Mare along a fairly busy road. A taxi costs between five and seven euros. Lindos is a very interesting place and the acropolis is well worth a visit although it does get rather crowded because coach trips come here from all over the island. The trick is to go early in the day before the coaches arrive. A little further on is St. Paul’s Bay which is small but very beautiful. There is a small church there and we saw two weddings while we were there.

Lindos is very busy with tourists bussed in from neighbouring resorts during the day. It gets very hot and crowded. At night there is something to suit everyone - trendy bars, family friendly pubs and a couple of discos. All of the bars and pubs are nice and drinks prices quite reasonable. Meals vary from place to place but our favourite was the Acropolis - very good greek cooking.

Lindos is excellent good varity of shops and restraunts in the labyrinth of streets>St pauls bay is beautiful and excellent for safe swimming and snorkling. The resort is kept clean only downside is the Droppings from the donkeys as they make there daily journey up and down to the acropolyis.we will definatly make a return visit soon.

I love Lindos. It is full of character. It does get hot & crowded during the summer. Manolis cocktail bar is fantastic. Nearly all the tavernas serve fabulous food. I would not reccomend it to families with young children but it very romantic for couples.

The Acropolis is breathtaking. Take a walk up around it in the early evening & watch the sunset.

Pedalos & a few water sports are on offer in the small bay, good for snorkling. Glass bottomed boat ride.

Rhodes town is worth a day trip. The old town is great, Palace of the Grand Masters, castle, Jewish Quarter where you can sit in a street cafe & watch the world go by. We found the souveniers cheaper here than in Lindos.

Lindos it such a beautiful place, my first time and I will be back soon. Lovely rooftop restaurants not pricey at all we ate in 14 different places I could not find a bad one, all excellent. Arhontiko, Stefanys, Symposio, The Kalypso, Dionysos, Acropolis these are just a few to mention.

The couryard bar is also good after your meal and Alsobyzantino excellent, but remember take flip flops as it is very steep.

Lindos is just a beutful island and I will definately be back.

Lindos is a very pretty resort with lovely roof top bars and resturants. A definate plus was a lack of 'British' style bars serving roast beef and yorkshire pudding! The greeks are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. The beach at St Pauls bay is small and quieter than the main beach - car hire is very reasonable and the roads are good if you want to explore a bit.
