All restaurants are fine some better than others, but that depends on your own taste, we have met people who don't like Indian food, sorry why go to India!!!

This was the 5th year to Candolim and we love it. We have got to know many people here now and they are such a friendly bunch. The beach shack that we use all the time is SUDAHS and it is great. She really does go out of her way to assist you and nothing is to much. Very cheap food and free beds if you eat there. Great variety of restaurants, all clean and food is superb. Mai Thai is the best yet, Charlie and the guys will help you with all sorts and will add extra spices or leave some out for you. Nothing a problem for them, very experienced. Great place to be and you will keep going back.

We literally had a bad experience with this Hotel during our stay in May'08. Hygienically, it was not good and the staff attitude was pathetic. The staff were very unfriendly and do not even respond. It took over an hour for some one even to give a bath soap and drinking water..... Wont recommend to anyone

remember its a poverty stricken country,we visited at the end of the season so everything was winding down but we would always choose that time to visit as it was so peaceful.

Resort ok. Some great restaurants with excellent food and very cheap by British standards.

There are lots of wonderful places to eat on the beach and in the resort of Candolim. A meal with drinks for 2 will cost between £2.00 -£10.00. The people are so gentle and kind and work very hard for a living.
There's lots of nice bags, jewelery, sarongs etc to buy on the beach. So take an empty suitecase.

We have been to India before so we knew what to expect! No pavements in Candolim dirt and litter everywhere.Maniac drivers made walking along the road a nightmare.
The restaurants however were excellent with some of the best vegetarian food we have ever tasted. The weather was perfect and the people very friendly. All food, drink and goods offered exceptional value and we were pleased with the beach standards.
