I found there was alot of new building (hotels+shops )springing up now in candolim.
There seemed a lot of rubbish lying around since i was there last (nov 05).
quite a few karioki bars popping up in candolim
The beach from the taj to the centre of candolim is getting worse regarding the movement of sand some places was dangerous.
Overall i still like candolim over calengute or baga.i find the sunbeds are to close together in baga, and nicely spaced out in candolim.however the beach sellers are still there and are a nuicense.

We've stayed in Goa 5 times now at different Hotels depending on what you want Candolim has a lot of offer, but there are better parts of the area than others in my opinion. The resort cleanliness is fine as you are in India and it is acceptable.

have been coming here over ten years - naturally resort has changed and grown - lots of really good places to eat
and shops - maybe too many now but thats progress.
rubbish is becoming a major problem - road from beach road
past pond is like a rubbish dump and it used to be lovely.
beach sellers are not aggressive and very friendly.
coco beach around corner has changed for the worse - too
many shacks etc for small beach

Candolim itself was ok, good eating places, to suit every purse. beach and shack - brunos - excellent.

The resort is as clean as any other in Goa but of course you always get the dust as the pavements are just sandy rather than made up paths.
The old rusting ship on the beach is at last being removed after being there for seven years although we found it a bit of a novelty a lot of people found it very off putting.
The food and drinks at the Goan Hut beach shack which we used we still brilliant value costing us about £12 daily for 4 people for food, drinks and sunbeds and sunshades, less than we would pay in Spain for just a couple of beds and parasols.
Great place!!!

Candolim is quieter than Baga or Calangute but there's still a great choice of restaurants and bars. The beach is good with loads of shacks. Towards the Sinquerim end there are a lot less beach sellers so you don't get so much hassle.

This year we found the Candolim to be very dirty, loads of litter everywhere and the beach was filthy to the point that we didn't enjoy walking along it as much as in the past. It was strewn with old flip flops, glass bottles, dog dirt and even a couple of syringes in one place. There was also a lot of oil on the beach this year.

Candolim is the beast resort in North Goa by far.
