Qawra is calmer, chicer and slightly classier than neighbouring Bugibba. This is a resort designed to make holidays easy. Bars and restaurants for all kinds of taste The rocky shore has been adapted to provide spots where you can spread your towel on warm stone, where you can slip into the clear Med and where you can take full advantage of the watersports laid on. Would recommend it as a lovely relaxing holiday with good weather every day and although there are no sandy beaches the sea is still accessible and is lovely.

The resort of Buggiba is very nice. They have added a small sandy beach there, but as with most of Malta the beaches tend to be rocky

Qawra is busy with a few steep roads leading away from the rocky sea shore. The shore road round to St.Pauls Bay is a great 20mins walk but away from this road, the pavements are uneven and sometimes dangerous.
The public transport is quaint and cheap. Watch out for the "Express Buses" they don't go much quicker but are double the price.
Never offer the driver a hand full of change and invite him to take the right fare, it's much cheaper to give him the exact amount.
There are plenty of bars serving food and drink at half the price of the hotels. Most have acts or quizes on, have big screen teles and are very welcoming.
No language problems, plenty of ex-pats about.
You can't escape the Time Share/Holiday Club touts. They are everywhere.
Crime is very low. Women can walk down dimly lit streets at night without feeling threatened. The Maltese crack down hard on drugs and dispense stiff sentences.
I will definately stay in Qawra again, but not at the Qawra Palace.

The resort of qawra/buggiba is always clean and a pleasure to visit we have been going back to the same resort for 6yrs

There is always plenty going on with things to do for every age group but it is also a very quiet and peacefull place.

The beach is rocky but has just had a man made sandy area for familys and sunbathers alike created.

All the people are very friendly the cost of living is wonderful for food we would recommend Mrs Huggys Lido Ta'Pawla and the Mongolian restaurant.

We just arrived home on Sunday and are now saving to go back.

Very poor. Dirty streets, lots of litter. Only of use to those wanting to either sunbathe all day or drink all night. Poor facilities.

Resort very good, beautiful promenade into St Pauls Bay. Very handy for the local buses as the bus station in the centre of Bugibba. Maltese people so friendly and helpful, and so happy to give you a good service
