Lovely resort nice people can't fault it.
We love Alvor what more can we say there is enough to do with a young family and is an ideal base for exploring other resorts. The people are very helpful and love the children.
Meal times were made easier with our two year old thanks to the waiters.
The beach is big and clean plenty of toilets and refreshments available all along the beach.
We will definitely be going back to Alvor again.

What a wonderful place for a hoilday as places go 10 out of 10 everyone so friendly - would live in Alvor it's that nice & clean & realativly cheap.
The resort was exactly as it was described in the brochure.
On our second visit we explored more of the Algarve traveling into Alvor and Praia da Rocha which were a very short distance at opposite directions from Portas do Sol. We also went into Portimao for shopping. We went to night clubs in Praia da Rocha and shopping for presents in Alvor.
The beaches in all 3 places were excellent and there was lots to do to keep you entertained, for all ages.
Portas do Sol was as described a quiet and tranquil resort it's just the place were you get peace to do what you want and meet new people. If you want a night out you can just get a taxi go into Praia da Rocha.
The resort is also very safe and generally caters for everyone.
