The hotel La cala is based in Santa Eualia on the east side of the island and about 35 mins from airport and a short walk to the sea front.
The resort cleanliness is second to none. Resort entertainment low key but they have some fine entertainment around the marina.
Beach clean and uncrowded and if you want to go topless thats ok.
We intend to visit this resort again within the next 12 months.

The resort was all I expected it to be.
Beach was clean as a whistle with plenty of space. Promenade was fantastic and no bars, shops etc hassling you to come in and buy.
Plenty of shops bargain prices and designer gear....ladies paradise....you wont go hungry in this town, as plenty of eateries and delis...though no nightclubs, entertainment can be found in many bars til the wee hours or in the hotels.
This town is so central, that you can travel on the bus to anywhere for under £2, or go in luxey by boat for a fiver!

Santa Eulalia is a great location to visit, quiet and peaceful but with a great variety of restaurants and it is ideally placed to visit other parts of the island such as Santa Gertrudis (a lovely traditional Spanish town) and Ibiza Town for the nightlife. San Antonio is a bit of a trek but that didn't bother us as we have grown out of "drink as much as you can in the shortest possible time" resorts and only went there once to see the sunset.
Santa Eulalia has only one nightclub called Guarana and although it doesn't compare with Space or Pacha,it is an adequate club and is open until six each morning.
Another place that we discovered was a bar in the marina called Liquido which I think means "Liquid" in Spanish. It is a really cool bar with good chillout and funky music and the terrace which is furnished with wicker sofas has a beautiful view across the water. The couple that own it are very friendly and they make fantastic cocktails, the best that we had during our stay. We went there every night and we were genuinely sad to leave at the end of our holiday.

It's only a 15 minute walk into the main town or a taxi is only about 5 euros. The shops are lovely with some fantastic boutiques.
Overall it's a great family place and we can't wait to go again next year.

Nice resort, not many shops, lots of good quality restaurants to choose from as you will see if you visit.

Santa Eulalia is a beautiful resort. It was clean and everywhere you looked were gorgeous flowers and palm trees.
There are plenty of wonderful places to eat, from chinese and indian to pizza and paella, and not forgeting the traditional English pub grub.
The beaches were lovely, we tried 2, Bora Bora and the beach in main Santa Eularia, both were great, but we preferred the town beach beach because there were less rocks underfoot in the sea, less seaweed too.
We had a lovely time there and would definatly love to go back again.

We enjoyed Santa Eulalia. I haven't decided if I like it better than Es Cana, there are good points in both.
I liked the beach in front of the Riomar hotel, 3 euros per sunbed and umbrella.
Go to Mariners beach bar, good entertainment every night, something for all ages. Went to Daffers on restaurant street excellent value for money. Could also recommend the Chinese on the harbour, New Shanghi, we had a memorable meal on the last night, I would like to visit again in the future, but have already booked for next year, Sirenis Jabeque aparthotel in Figurettas/Playa Den Bossa so it's Ibiza 4 years in a row.

Resort overall is clean but I was surprised to see some dog dirt around.
Plenty of bars and restaurants out and about. Nice resort day and night. We have been to Santa Eulalia twice and would go back again.
Nice beach with watersports.

Santa Eulalia seemed more 'Spanish' than any of the resorts we have visited in Majorca and Menorca. There seemed to be a lot of people with dogs (which is great,we have two ourselves) but cleaning up after them doesn't seem to apply there.
Entertainment is mainly around the hotel and bars, but there are various boat trips and water taxis from the harbour. We took the catamaran trip to Formentera. The outward journey was wonderful, and the island reminded us of the carribean. The return journey however was horrendous. The wind had got up, and something to do with a small catamaran (90 people), short waves and the wind it was like riding a huge rollercoaster for 1 hour and forty minutes. It must happen fairly often though because the crew were very quick to hand out sick bags.
The beach was lovely. I have never spent so much time in the sea. Just be careful on the sand because it does get really hot to walk on.
Another thing to be aware of is jelly fish. We did not seem to have a problem on our beach but we took a trip to Es Cana and saw at least four or five people stung.
We are already looking to a return visit to the island, probably the same resort.

DOG mess everywhere, I have never seen anything like it.
resort has a cosmopolitan feel , not full of Brit bars. a wealth of good restaurants, by far the best was the German "Paella" right near the Atlas apartments.
Beaches not well cleaned , lots of litter and rubbish in the sea
