Location
Yes you had to be at the pool before 9 for a lounger and yes there were ants but the food was very varied, and well prepared. Tiago tries hard with the entertainment team and Shaun's arrival made the team even better.
Kids really enjoyed it, my young girls joined the kids clubs and my teenage sons took great delight in throwing the female reps in the pool at every opportunity.
We were going to go to our usual hotel in Tenerife but at over 6 grand compared to the 3and a half this cost how can anyone complain.
Beach is fantastic and a short walk or free minicoach ride and the hotel even gives you packed lunches.
If you want an all inclusive break at self catering rates with a friendly family atmosphere then look no further.

The food was good, although it does get a bit repetitive after 2 weeks, there is usually something to fill you up, massive selection of sweets to choose from and the ones I tried were delicious!!
The Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the beach (which is gorgeous)or you can catch the free minibus from the hotel and back again.
Didnt have many dealings with the staff, but all seemed pleasant enough and always acknowledged you.
Entertainment was pretty rubbish, the professional shows were really diabolical, and the on site entertainers were pretty cheesy, but you could have a laugh most evenings, even if it was more cringing at the acts!!
One of the kids club reps would have looked more at home in a funeral directors!! but the others were very welcoming and tried to get everyone joining in events.
I probably wouldnt visit this hotel again but that is mainly as we like to try different places.
I would recommend it to others.

We only had one room which was a little hard work for changing but the room was big enough. Certainly would recommend to anyone, clean, relaxing, good food and good location.

The maids were brilliant, the rooms were always clean and the beds are always made really well.
The food was good but I did find hairs in a lot of my meals but apart from this it was really good. Loads of chips, but plenty of salad, fruit and sweets to choose from. The only problem I could see with the food is kids. When the doors open to go in the just sprint in grab all the chips, it says you must be with an adult if you

This was our first time on an all inclusive holiday, and the last. The food was that bad that we ate out every time we could, so we did not have to wait in a queue to get it. It was as somebody else commented "like a school canteen". The children's meals were appauling, with deep fried spring rolls and chips for breakfast.
What the brochure for this hotel does not tell you is that you can get fresh juice for 3euros and branded alcholoic drinks are also available at extra cost. The snack bars only serve junk food like burgers, chips, sausages & chicken nuggets. But if you would like anything else they do have a few venders dotted about to by crisps, chocolate bars etc. Also you can buy bottled water at 1.50euros but if you walk just outside the hotel it is only 1 euro.
All the comments about the sun beds are true but what is not mentioned is that there is only 9 sun parasols for the full pool area (so it's a good job most people with babies are up early anyway to get them).
Evening entertainment was like something you and your friends would put together in your bedroom, for a laugh using your mum and dads old clothes. With a game of bingo thrown in at the end. To add insult to injury you would have to get your seats for the entertainment before 6pm, or watch it stood up.
The actual rooms decor was a little dated, and very small. Our so called twin room which could have 4 adults staying in, was just about big enough for 2 adults and a three year old. We also had a problem with ants (we were on the top floor), but the staff got rid of them by the next day.
As for the location of the hotel it was O.K, it wasn't to far from the main bars, restaurants etc. The hydro park was only a 10-15 minute walk away. However you did have to walk around the lake path, that was littered with dog poo(and in parts smelt of rotten eggs).
The lagomonte hotel is not a place I would recommend to anyone. There are 550 rooms in the hotel and not enough facilities to provide for that amount of people

The hotel was kept very clean, even the toilets in the main area which were used by quite a few people every night. There was always a vast selection of food to choose from. If the children did not like what was on offer for them then they would pick from the adult selection.
The location was great, only a short walk for loads of bars, shops etc which made a nice change, the staff were always polite and friendly.
The entertainment could do with a bigger budget but most shows were watchable.
I would certainly visit this hotel again, you certainly get value for money, if people have problems with this hotel they should not pay for a 3 star hotel and think they will get 5 star luxury.

The food was lovely and plenty of choice,by the second week we was fed up of eating, we wouldn't go all inc for 2 weeks again.
The staff was lovely. The alchol was like water couldn't get close to drunk.
The entertainment was quite rubbish with shows made up by there own staff.
The hotel is not big enough for the amount of people they have staying there.

The food is ok you can usually find something to eat,you can eat from 8.00am until 12.00am.
The hotel is in quite a good location, not far from the main streets in Alcudia.
Hotel staff are friendly and very efficient in the dinning room, clearing the table's very fast.
Although the entertainment staff work very hard,it wasn't for us (a bit to much like Butlin's).
We went into Alcudia everynight, children were running riot in the hotel at night.
I realise this is not the fault of the hotel, parents were to busy drinking to see what thier children were getting up to.(running up and down stairs,in the lifts, when there are signs to say no child under 12 should be in a lift without an adult, jumping on the sofas in the reception area.

The general food was of good quantity but lacking quality, the first few days were ok but as it got to the last few days of our first week the food became repetitive. I travelled with my two yr old and he ate nothing from the hotel so we had to buy him things from the supermarket. The children's menu was either chips and hamburgers or chips and chicken nuggets.
The hotel location itself was fine its only 5 mins away from shops and bars.
Most staff in the hotel are friendly but there are a few who can be grumpy.
The entertainment was awful in the two weeks we were there we watched two shows one was Brazilian dancing and Grease the rest wasn't even worth it. There was a couple of shows that people were actually booing them to get off the stage. The entertainment team looked bust at every minute but in the brochure its says kids from age 4+ can be involved in games but you hardly seen kids that age joining in.
I wouldn't stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel as there are much nicer hotels on the island.
