We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

alcudia is a nice quiet family holiday resort.

Alcudia is very clean and as your near the centre it gets busier. Plenty of restaurants/bars/shops etc. There are plenty of taxies that are reasonably priced and if you would like alternative transport try a horse and carriage.
The beach is very clean with beds/umbrellas all along the beach at a charge of 9 euros for the day. There are bars and shops on the seafront to buy refreshments throughout the day. I wish we had taken a cool back.
One thing not to miss is the Sunday market - plenty of stalls and you must try and barter. It was a great experience especially when you get to the fruit and veg section. We sat down at a local cafe and enjoyed a pizza in a very busy and enjoyable environment.

I still love Alcudia I always will but it has gone very expensive. There is plenty to do and the beach is amazing. The souvenir shops all sell the same stuff.
I wouldn't recommend the double decker tour bus around the town you can walk most of it and the guide does not speak very good English. We spent the first half hour touring round the Belleview complex. It was very boring I dont think it will last, nice idea but it needs more thought and a better route.

The resort beach is huge as it runs right along to the port of alcudia. The beach is lovely and clean. The sea is very shallow for quite a long way out so is ideal for anyone with younger children. Quite a long walk into Alcudia, but there are regular buses passing at short intervals, only downfall is most times of day they are absolutely packed!! Playa de muro is a fairly new resort and so therefore is ideal for people looking for a chill out holiday as apart from the restaurants there is virtually no nightlife.

A lovely resort. The harbour is beautiful, and the town of Alcudia is very quaint. A typical Spanish town. I walked from our hotel to the town, a long walk, but a lovely walk.

A nearby riding school was good value for a day out with a difference 18€ for an hour or 34€ for two hours horse riding in the mountains.
Places toeat out are numerous and varied,a few places to definately eat would be the Tradewinds chippy, yup a traditional chip shop run by a very friendly guy from Hull who emigrated four years ago.Another place to eat worthy of a mention is The Bugs Bunny Bar,crazy name and run by,we think,an Italian who is equally crazy and a brilliant laugh, pay his place a visit, you WONT regret it.If you fancy taking a trip further afield and you don't want to hire a car, then use a company called No Frills Excursions. They have offices all over Alcudia where they are based and run very good trips at value for money prices.I only rated the resort entertainment a 3 as we don't have young children and the entertainment was geared more towards the youngsters.
All in all we,my wife, myself, our son and his friend (both 16),really enjoyed our stay in Alcudia, the beach is fantastic and very safe for children.Would we go back ? difficult to say,NOT because of any niggles or moans, merely the fact that we feel we have done it all in Alcidia and so will pick somewhere else for next year.If you have not been though,i would thoroughly recommend you go,you'll love it.

We found the resort to be safe with a high standard of cleanliness. There is lots of entertainment nearby should you fancy venturing further than the hotel lobby.
