We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

Alcudia is a great place for families with young children with everything on hand and a great, safe beach.

Alcudia is a very family orientated resort with loads to do. Most of the bars and eateries cater for children and some have their own play areas for the kids.
The streets are exceptionally clean and well looked after.
The beach is amazing. Miles of sand which is clean and white which gently slopes into the sea, so no worries about the little ones dropping off a ledge or anything.

So many nice places to eat and drink, the port, bellevue strip and along the beach.
Beach was lovely and clean, the clearer and the better the further you walk along.

the resort was clean although mosquitos were every where and became a complete nuisance, i had read about this in the reviews but didnt realise how bad they were.the entertainment was good, a show on everynight along with kids disco and bingo..there was also a daily quiz around the pool. the kids seemed to enjoy the kids club which was free through the day and 3 euro on a night which is a fair price.the beach was lovely and about a 10 min walk away. my only complaint was the footbridges over the canals, they were in desperate need of modernising.

Would go to Alcudia again. Nnice and clean, plenty of lovely bars and restaraunts, most are reasonably priced.
Beach is beautiful.
Only thing I did not like was the amount of street sellers or 'lucky' men as they are known. They are everywhere and even come around you whilst you are eating or follow you trying to get you to buy off them.
A nice, family resort, clean, not too rowdy with clubbing etc.

We have been to Alcudia before though not this particular part. it would have been good if there were less tourist shops and more bars but that said, it was still a nice location.
Public transport is very efficient and quite cheap so getting around is easy.

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to a resort that had plenty of nightlife, but that wasn't as rowdy as Magaluf, and we decided on Alcudia.
I will start with the most important part of this resort - the beach! It really is amazing, it goes on for miles, the sea is warm, clear and shallow (you have to walk out for what feels like miles before it even comes to your waist!) and the sand is so white. We hired a car and travelled all around the island, and it really does have some gorgeous beaches - but Alcudia was by far the best. Its a lovely half hour walk along the beach to the port end of the resort, which is very pretty and has some lovely restaurants - however, if you're a beach person I wouldn't recommend staying at this end as the beach isn't as nice.
Alcudia was, however - aside from the amazing beach - not the resort for us. We wanted nightlife, and, to be honest, Alcudia's nightlife is poor. Yes, there are loads of bars and restaurants, but, as Alcudia is a family resort, every bar and restaurant is 'family friendly' and there are kids running around everywhere. And this was outside the school holidays, I can imagine it getting much much worse in the height of summer. The few late night bars that there are in Alcudia are quite tacky, I'm afraid, and there certainly isn't much choice. The resort is also very English and the restaurants reflect this; the food is ok, and we did have some nice meals, but nothing to get over-excited about.
Alcudia Old Town is well worth a visit, we went there and walked along the castle walls, and there is a lovely little square of restaurants with a fab atmosphere - we had the best meal here that we had all holiday, it was delicious. Highly recommended.
As we hired a car and travelled around Mallorca, I have fallen in love with the place, but if we came back it probably wouldn't be to Alcudia. I think next time it will be Palma Nova, as this seems a lot more suited to a mid-twenties couple, with plenty of nightlife, and it is also close to Palma, which I think is a fantastic city. However, if you're a family, I think you will have a brilliant time in Alcudia, and I think it is possible that one day I could be temped back with that amazing beach!!

Beach beautiful and safe for the kids to paddle, plenty to see and do. Would definately visit again.
The port area is nice on a night.
Got bit by mosies quite a lot if you went near the waterways but you expect that on your hols. Take repellant etc.
