We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

We as a family love the resort. The beach is lovely and safe for children. There is lots to in the resort from go karting, water park, karoke etc.
There are plenty of pubs and good resturants but can be expensive.
The port is lovely and also the old town is great full with historical building and ruinings.

The beach was amazing so clear and shallow ideal for families. Plenty of nice bars make sure you go to the market on tues and Sunday. Beaware of the ladies that approach women and children to have their hair braided can be a pain.
Was very concerned about the mossies before going they did not really bother us until the last night so I think we survived quite well.
There is a local pharmacy but be aware very expensive bought a pack of 2 dummies and some plasters and it came to about £12.

The resort is not what we expected. We suspect that it's somewhat of an asbeen resort, looks like it may have been good at some point in the past but is now showing signs of needing an injection of money and development, many bars and restaurants were shut down and looked to have been for some time. Many people that had visited the resort in previous years told us it was good for families and espicially good for kids, we saw no evidence of this. All entertainment in bars/restaurants was aimed at adults and the only entertainment available for kids was the odd amusement arcade with machines you might have seen at blackpool 10 years ago. Whilst in Majorca we visited Santa Ponca as we have relatives there who own a bar, here you will find a main square with a selection of bars and restaurants with live entertainment catering for families much more than Alcudia does. The only positive aspect of the resort is the beach with clean sands and clear waters, no complaints there. We hired a car for a few days and had a problem worth bearing in mind for families wishing to do the same whilst visiting the resort. The name of the rental company is Vanrell and they have rental shops scattered around Alcudia and no doubt the rest of the island. We hired a ford focus for 108 euros for 3 days and 3 euros per day for a baby seat, which is the cheapest price we found but maybe for a reason. First of all the car we got had more dents, scuffs and scratches we care to mention and the air con was less than useless but the car did seem to drive ok, at least for the first couple of days anyway. On our way back from Santa Ponca on the final day a few hours before returning the car we experienced a problem whereby the car would not go above 2000 revs and could only reach speeds of around 50-60 kmh which is quite slow when it's motorways all the way. We headed back to Santa Ponca as we had only just set off and called the rental company, they didn't care one bit! They said we'ed just have to chance it and drive until the car broke down totally and we were stranded, then they would consider sending recovering. They would send recovery if we didn't want to chance it but would charge us 1 euro per mile, bearing in mind that we were the opposite side of the island this would cost us an arm and a leg for a problem that was no fault of our own. We were now stranded and had to chance it with a 1 year old and an 8 year old, not a nice experience. When we finally made it back to the rental company they didn't even apologise or ask how we were, just brushed it off as if it were a regular occurance. Avoid at all costs, it's true what they say, you get what you pay for!

Resort and complex very family orientated - mini golf, hire cars, pleasant beach, go karts, riding stables, children’s fair and lots of bars and childrens play areas. However I would describe it a bit like blackpool in the sun with palm trees! Loads of British bars so do not expect to see anything traditionally Spanish. Was disappointing not to experience any Spanish culture locally although Alcudia old town is nice to walk round and the market there on a Tuesday and Sunday morning is worth a visit.
Went to Marineland and Katmandu and Rancho Grando excursions. Marineland is small and only really half a day is needed to visit this - the dolphin show was great - Katmandu was great and our children found this exciting and fun. Would recommend Marineland and Katmandu for a trip out of resort.
Rancho Grando excursion was poor value for money - £220 euros for two adults and two children to ride a horse at a very slow pace for approx 40 minutes and then to have a fatty pork steak and chicken kebab and jacket potatoe and either orange juice, sangria or beer (which was unlimited to drink but not nice so didn’t drink much). There was supposed to be entertainment from cowboys etc but this consisted of them talking you through 2 line dances and then getting you to dance them and then they performed one line dance! The whole thing seemed disorganised and the reps seemed more interested in drinking lots of sangria than ensuring that the guests knew where to get sangria or beer from as we didn’t know we could just ask for this and stood waiting for about half an hour doing nothing and not knowing what to do! The riding hats provided were also poor quality. The ranch staff were not particularly pleasant either. My children enjoyed the ride. I had a double saddle with my child and was led to believe by a Thomas Cook rep that children would have their own horse with a guide – lead rope – However this was not the case and there were only six double saddles available and so my older child was just put on a horse and left to it – luckily he has ridden before and so was fine but my husband hadn’t and his horse fell in the mud and he nearly fell off and if a child had been on this then they could have been thrown off. Wouldn’t recommend this excursion to families with young children unless you go on the sangria cart, which follows the riders, round the field. If you had lots of riding experience then you could go in a group that did more than walk with the horse at a slow pace but not really suitable for children unless very experienced. The unlimited sangria and beer also meant that people got drunk and this then resulted in some very rowdy and crude adults on the coach home which is fine by me but not when accompanied by two young children! Would not do this again and was disappointed considering the cost and how the rep had described this excursion.
I wouldn’t go back to this resort as I like to feel I am in a different country and found it had very little Spanish Culture and was catered very much around British Culture. I have to say I have never seen so many British Pubs, but if you are a holiday maker who wants this then will be ideal. Also there were certain families whose children were not particularly well behaved and some parent’s thought that it was okay to shout, threaten, smack and swear at their children in order to get them to behave! This was not pleasant to experience for myself or my children and neither for the children being disciplined in such a way. The complex catered for cheap all inclusive holidays and some of the families obviously enjoyed the ability to drink in excess and be rowdy and this tainted my holiday experience. I am not a snob but found the behaviour of some other holiday makers unpleasant.
All in all I had a great holiday and my children thoroughly enjoyed themselves but the resort wasn’t what I had expected as many people have told me Majorca is great but I didn’t find Alcudia to be particularly brilliant. I holidayed in San Miguel – Ibiza - and Portimao – Algarve - last year and found these to be much nicer resorts to visit.

Went to Alcudia before. It's basically four parts to it. There's Alcudia, which is the old town, which is at the top of the resort.
Puerto d Alcudia, which is lovely. Plenty of shops, restaurants & nice walk to see the luxury yachts.
Belle Vue - Mini England/Britain. Self catering city. It has absolutely everything, if that's what you want.
Puerto D Muro - the end of the resort. Again, plenty of bars, shops & restaurants.
You're never far away from the beach. The beaches are lovely. You can always see a life guard station, no matter where you go on the beach. The sea is very shallow and can walk out quite some distance before it comes up to your waist. Which is good, as my son likes to snorkel and sometimes doesn't realise how far he goes.
Would thoroughly recommend Alcudia for every age group.

The beach is great and there are plenty of bars and shops but because of the river and lakes there are thousands of biting insects. Take the repelent!!

The facilities were clean but the lake desperately needs attention, we did see a rat at one point amongst other things!!!! We had a couple of rainy days not a lot you can do about that but the resort is not set out to accommodate this. If it rains in the evening DO NOT go to the indoor entertainment area, with so many people trying to get in it is an accident waiting to happen, when it is full you can't see the stage anyway because it's around the corner, I kid you not!!! The beach was lovely we would return to alcudia but definitely not bellevue.

Not really my type of resort. A bit too commercial and built up. Some nice places to eat but didn't really make up for the fact that it was so busy even in may.
Beach was ok when it wasn't raining although it was huge.
