We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

Alcudia wasn't as I expected but then Im not sure I saw it all. But it was much quieter than I expected. Not that I was looking for a roudy holiday but bars were very far and few between. Plenty of restaurants however.
But the beautiful beach made up for and dissapointments alcudia might offer. It was like something from the caribbean with its white sand and aqua blue shallow waters.

The resort was a very family friendly environment.
The children loved the beach with a slow sloping gradient into the water. Very safe and clean. Spent hours catching little hermit crabs and building sand castles.
Facilities on the beach great, lifeguards, clean toilets and snack bars - albeit a little expensive - better to go to the
local supermarket and stock up.

We stayed in Alcudia ,near to the centre. This was good as everything was at hand.
Lots of good shops and restaurants, although some seemed pricey for families unless all you want is chips and burgers which gets a bit much after two weeks.
Most shopkeepers were friendly, although one or two were'nt even happy to look at you or smile. Some shops were a bit tacky with novelties abound,a bit like Blackpool, but could find some decent goods. Also some quite rude items unsuitable for young eyes, quite shocked sometimes.
Resort was very clean, couldnt fault that. Entertainment was a bit juvenile even for the kids at times. The bars that did have decent acts on were pricey for drinks,so we didnt see much worthwhile. By the time the usual kids mini discos were over, which mine didnt like,we headed back to our hotel .
Nothing seems to have developed much over the years, all kids discos and tribute acts.
The beach was clean, and safe. Only went twice though as it got crowded ,cost too much for sunbeds every day ,money doesnt go far in this resort now it is the euro.
Would visit this resort again but possibly the port end and also a few years down the line. Definitely needs more for older children, not just shops and pool tables.
Better place for famillies with toddlers and younger children.

We really liked the resort. Yes, it was quieter than Alcudia but we think that was a definite advantage, it being ideal for families.
We took a bus-trip to Alcudia and were pleased to just spend an afternoon there.
The beach by the hotel was beautiful, white sand and turquoise sea, with the sea gently shelving making it ideal for children.
The hotel has good bus links to other resorts, a good selection of restaurants and shops nearby, an amusement arcade opposite the hotel.
From the beach, there are a selection of water-sports available and a sea-bus providing a fun way to get to other resorts.

The location is good and in a quiet spot at the side of the lake on the edge of Playa de Muro.
Come out of the hotel and walk 100 yards up to the main road. If you turn right, you’re 5 minutes walk from the bars and restaurants of Playa de Muro, if you cross the road the beach is right in front of you and if you turn left, you’re a 10-minute bus ride to the Port area.
Playa de Muro is not as busy as the central area of Alcudia but still offers a reasonable selections of bars, restaurants and arcades to keep the kids entertained (remember to take plenty of 1 Euro coins if you have kids). If you are a little more reserved, then I recommend the Port area.
The Central area of Alcudia is busy and typical of a family orientated resort. The beach at Alcudia is great. We had no problems getting sun beds close to the waters edge. You can walk out quite a way with the sea only up to your knees, really safe for the kids.
On a whole, Alcudia is a large and popular resort suited to families with young kids. Alcudia is nothing like Blackpool. Believe me, I live 40 minutes away from Blackpool and that’s 40 minutes too close.

Clean resort.
The entertainment didn't start until late but to be honest we only went looking for entertainment once out of the hotel and decided that the hotel was best for entertainment and stayed there.
The beach, what can I say, wow - I would go back to Alcudia again just for the beach. Excellent, the children can walk out at least 100m before it gets too deep .... beautiful clean, safe beach.

the resort was very clean and the beach aswell, the beach has a beutifull cove shape containing all types of fish that swim at your feet undisturbed.
one problem being there is a 6.70euro charge for two sunloungers with a shade, the staff in the local kiosk can be rude about opening the toilets <they left twelve busting people without a toilet and just said well open it in ten minutes> but dont let that put you off as there is a portapotty down the beach <2 min walk>
boats can be rented and pedled out into the bay <this is a must do> <also try snorkling off the boat>

We cannot say much about the bars or restaurants in Alcudia as we didn't use them, but the resort is mostly lakes and canals so it does get smelly if the water is stagnant. The beach is the best thing about Alcudia and we were suprised how cheap the water sports were.
We didn't visit the water park as the western water park in Magaluf looked much better and we had a great day there.
I would go back to Alcudia if I could find a nice appartment near the beach with a pool away from british people.
