Cala Dor has a lovely large open air pedestrianised area with many restaurants and bars and if the weather is good makes a great setting.
The Tropical bar has tribute acts on each night and some other bars may have some form of music.
There are approx. five coves around Cala Dor with Cala Gran being the central one.
If you like eating out of an evening and just a chill out week or so the resort is recommended.

The resort was really nice,loved the Thursday evening market,went to the Bamboo bar in the evenings the guy who served us was really nice.All the shops were fun to browse,and i think the whole area was smashing.
The beach was a bit small,we had trouble getting on there if you went 12.30ish.It was very clean and the little beach bar was good.I would visit the resort again,asap,please.

Love Cala D'or, we have been 3 times and intend to return again. Loads of great places to eat, clean and tidy and the small coves are lovely. It also benefits from an harbour which is lovely to walk around. Loads to see and do.

Cala D'or town itself consists of low rise white building and cobbles streets, very 'Spanish'. Various restaurants of all prices and tastes, always had a good meal. Also various bars, the German bar in the centre underneath the lit up tree is nice. Our favourite cocktail bar (and we've tried them all - hiccup) is Kalypso Tutti Frutti. The cocktails are served with sparklers in and are delicious. They make a real fuss of the kids who have non-alcoholic drinks in there own little turtle/frog decanters!! Nikki & Oscar bring their pet parrot Guapo along who is beautiful and very cheeky. The mood there is very relaxed as you watch the world go by - sheer bliss!
If you head out towards Cala Ferrera side of town it becomes a bit more Karaoke style bars if that is what you like with more 'English style bars'.
The marina is wonderful for a walk around and the Acuarius restaurant is our favourite - try the salted Sea Bass!! Delicious!! Book a table if you want it outside near the front.
The beaches consist of small coves, with hardly any tide so it is nice and safe. There is a larger beach nearby at Cala Mondrago which can be reached by bus or taxi.
We love Cala D'or - you don't seem to get any lager louts there, just people who want a nice relaxing family holiday.

The resort is quiet very opulent area attractive houses built into the hillside all painted white and very pristine beautiful area of majorca easy access to cala dior well maintained infrostructure would return to this area

cala dor is very very clean, plenty of top places to eat at a reasonable prices, beach very clean and close to hotel. world cup on when we visited and it was great feeling throughout resort.

The resort of Cala Do'r is lovely, it is a family resort with the usual Karaoke, tribute acts etc. There is a lovely area in Cala Do'r where there are lots of resturants , it has a Mediterainean feel , here you can get Mexican, Spanish, Chinese, Indian food etc.
The beach at Cala Ferrera where the Ponet Playa is , is not bad, could be better though as it was not that clean as there were lots of cigarette ends in the sand. It was also very small for the amount of people that use it.
I would visit this resort again, but not this hotel or Cala Ferrera.

I would go back to Cala Dor again but not to the hotel Cala Gran. Cala Dor is a very beautiful and peaceful part of majorca however the hotel cala gran did spoil the holiday for me

the resort cala dor playa is beauiful. the beaches are lovley.the people are also really friendly a great resort for children as theirs plenty for them too do.
