Cala Ferrera Beach Calador is a lovelly resort and easy to get to other parts of the island using the public transport and is very reasonable cost wise. There is plenty to do and see on this island and in this location I would strongly recommend this place and would certainly stop in this resort again. The restaurants the food was reasonably priced also and the food was good. The Marina in Cal a Dor is to die for absolutely stunning execellent. There is lots of variety and things to do.,

Cala D'Or/Cala Ferrera was rather quite but still plenty of bars and restaurants and the beach area around the hotel was cleaned and tidied up every night ready for the morning.

First time in Cala D'or and really enjoyed this family orientated resort.
No drunken gangs of teenagers, just a mixture of families from all over Europe enjoying the sunshine, restaurants and bars.
Beaches are lovely and clean and a walk down to the Marina with a meal by the waterside as the sun sets is a must.
Even the lads who walk round the bars at night selling fake designer gear are polite and will leave you alone with a single "No thank-you"
Nice friendly up-market resort definitely aimed at families.

Absolutely love Cala d'Or and this was our second visit with hopes of returning again next year. The beaches are small but very pretty and its so nice to swim in the clear blue sea. Cala d'Or is a lovely place if you are looking for a relaxing break. It's not full of night clubs or young groups of reveller's, it's definately a family resort. There are plenty of shops and supermarkets and so many restaurants to choose from you are spoiled for choice. You will get badgered of an evening with people trying to get you to eat at their restaurant which does become a little annoying. Some places can be quite expensive so it's best to shop around. We got caught out one night being charged 8 euro for two cokes and a 5 euro service charge on the bill!

This is the third time we have visited Cala D'or, and did notice how much it had grown since our last stay. However it is still a lovely area to stay in, the beaches are all small but very pretty, with the usual facilities.Several boats trips to take along the coast every day. Cala D'or has a certain charm, with everything you need for a relazing holiday, but still has plenty of shops, supermarkets and places to eat. You are spolilt for choice really. It is more of a couples/family resort rather than for groups of youngsters. We felt completely safe there at whatever time we were out and about. Will definetely return.

Beautiful resort with plenty of bars and restaurants and with the most beautiful beaches and coves.

Fab resort, we only discovered the centre was walking distance away half way through out ten days but once we did we were spoiled for choice.
Resorts feels safe and friendly and is great for adults and kids alike!
No hard sell despite visible effects of credit crunch on all bars and restaurants.

Having visited Cala D'or over 4 year ago, we were surprised that not a lot had changed. Some bars/restaurants had shut down to be replaced with new bars/restaurants but all in all it was easy to find our way around.
The resort is kept very clean and the food is of a high standard if a little expensive now.
We mainly went to Cala Gran beach which we knew was excellent from our last visit and it still lived up to its name, for those who have been there before, the coconut man is still there, but a little chubbier.
I will put a more detailed report into the discussions area later.

We visited Cala D'or thinking it was an upmarket port, but we were really disappointed. We found it to be tacky and overpriced. The restaurants were nothing to write home about and the best meals we ate were out of the resort in Palma, Soller and a liitle village called Petra.
In Calal D'or they were chargin 5 Euros for a bowl of Heinz Tomato Soup , I know there's a credit crunch on but this is ridiculous. The Euro to the pound did not help but we were spending on average 60 euros for an evening meal and it was not very good quality either. The beaches were great but it was 12 euro for 2 sunbeds and a brolly, so all in all it was quite an expensive holiday. We would not return to Cala D'or.

The resort of cala dor is lovely, but we did go early in season, from talking to others it does get very crowded peak season,so we advise go either late or early in season to get the best out of the resort
