VERY SMALL BUT CLEAN RESORT BUT ONLY A 5 EURO TAXI RIDE OR YOU CAN GET A TRAIN 3EUROS 50 FOR A RETURN TO CALOR D'OR AND YOU CAN GET ON AND OFF WHEN YOU WANT. YOU CAN WALK TO CALOR D'OR BUT IT IS ABOUT A 1/2HR WALK.
ONLY A FEW SHOPS BARS AND RESTURANTS. I WOULD RECOMEND FOR A TWO WEEK STAY YOU HIRE A CAR,THEY START AT 35 EUROS. THE BEACHES WERE SMALL BUT THERE ARE 3 BEACHS ALL WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE FROM HOTEL. 2 BEACHES RUN A GLASSBOTTOM BOAT TRIP.

Plenty of shops and bars to choose from. Hotel situated near to supermarkets, with good choice of food.

Cala Dor has just about everything you need with plenty of shops restaurants and bars and also gorgeous beaches and a very impressive marina.

Very nice resort. More for younger children and families. Def not for the teenagers.

resort was very clean & pretty,5 very small beaches that were kept very clean,could sometime,s get a little crowded.

Great resort for families,couples too! go to Mondrago and Cala Figuerra though beautifull.... Try the Starfish boat it's great.but the drive is easy too! all in all apart the poor poor exchange rate Mallorca is a must..

this was our fourth time in Cala d'or, great place for everyone, familys, singles etc.
I took my daughter who is disabled and is now in a wheelchair, we found cala d' or too hilly in parts, not a good place for mobility problems, and pushing of the wheelchair.
The beach was also a problem as there are steps down from the hotel, these steps have no rail. There is a slope down onto the beach but this is very steep, hence we will not be going back.

cala d'or is actually made up of a series of coves. each with their hotels around them. the beaches are all lovely and there is a main road of tourist shops and restaurants going from one end of cala d'or to the other.
the marina is very nice and has some nice restaurants too. we had a drink at the jolly roger pub on the marina and hada nice time.
cala d'or is a nice area which is family friendly with parks and rides. it also has plenty of pubs and clubs but is not over the top and relatively tame compared to some areas of majorca!

The only down side of going to Cala d'or in May is the fact it hasn't got up to speed and needs some TLC.(they are working on it)
The beach is nice with white soft sand but with the weather being a little wet and windy the sea kept bringing seaweed and dumping it on the sand.
With all the semi open things in and around the area,there will be plenty to do,but what was there was perfect for us.
Would i visit again? YES.
