Resort was generally clean and had a nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend 'Cheers' for lunch in the main town. Very friendly staff and good food.
Having stayed in many resorts around Majorca this was a little too loud with many bars showing wide screen football matches, etc.

The bus service was'nt up to full speed and we were told that a full bus service ran in May, so it was a little difficult getting around. There was a little train that took you round, the kids found that great fun. The resort was lovely and the beach was clean and the sea was blue, what more could you ask for. Would definetly go back to this resort and Hotel.

Cala D Or is lovely, we were there a few years ago and it is such a lovely place to visit. However, we feel that majorca is now pricing itself out of the game in alot of ways and cala d or is expensive. One of the major tourists places to visit and you do pay excessive for the pleasure.

The beach of Cala Esmeralda is a mere few steps away from the Esmeralda Park and as it is a cove, it is easy to keep track of your children, especially when they're in the sea. It is a very clean beach with a number of litter bins dotted around. There are various restaurants, bars and shops around the town and has everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. I would certainly return with my family one day.

resort very quiet beach is 2 minute walk from hotel beautiful clean beach. beware of snack bar on beach alot more exppensive than in the town which is just round the corner from hotel. took us 25-30 mins to walk to cala r dor via beautiful harbour plenty of bars and returants to stop at on the way!

The resort was very clean in the central cobbled areas - had a very spanish feel and the restaurants are varied, though only ate at the marina - Acuarius - Yum!
The area from the town centre back toward Cala Ferrera was a little scruffy and very bucket and spade shop feel with few english type bars/restaurants.
Very good for familys - no hassle from touts, stag/hen parties. Feels very safe.
Only visited two beaches - Es Forti - very small but nice and Cala Gran, again on the small side but we enjoyed it - would imagine it gets very crowded in main weeks. 2 sumbeds and a brollie was 11 euros.
Cocktail bars a must.
Tropical Gardens has cabaret on most nights but wear mozzie repellant as surrounded by water.
Overall very relaxing holiday - still fave resort on the island

The resort was better than I expected. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants. I noticed how clean it was compared to other places. Driving was made really easy as the road signs and directions are really clear. It does not have the party atmosphere that some resorts have but because there are so many bars, shops and eating places it is not noticed as much. The beach is clean and the water is lovely and warm and very clear. Its a very peaceful place to visit - no nightclubs to my knowledge.

We enjoyed the resort - if you're staying at the Rocamarina, Doughty's bar is a must - you'll love their signs.
