We would visit this resort again it was very peaceful but not to quiet, ideal for families and couples.
Lots and lots of Germans can be annoying our hotel was 99% German.
The staff in most of the bars and eateries were very friendly, shame about the hotel.

Cala Ferrera is quieter than Cala Dor,however it does have quite a few bars and resturants,walk down main street and you are in Cala Dor which is busier.

Cala D'or was described to us as a 'sophisticated resort'. Unfortunately this no longer applies. The resort is over run with snack bars, steak houses, British eateries, slot machines and Go Karts.
The beaches are so small that you are crammed on like sardines.
If you like this then by all means go, but we will be heading north again back to Puerto Pollensa.

were very happy with holiday .
nobody burgled our apartment i think the british getting paranoid we have been away to many european countries and this is one of the best holidays we have had.

Cala d'or is a lovely place with nice restaurants and shops. It is only a ten minute stroll away and we ate in cala dor most evenings the restaurant grill world is one of the best as well as the rancho texas rib house. Some people did tend to stay more near the apartments to eat but it is well worth a venture into cala dor there is a little train that you can get but it is only a short walk. The marina is nice although we didn't eat at any of the restaurants. We walked to most of the little cove beaches about 5 in all Cala Gran being the biggest but the esmeralda beach was lovely and clean but beware it does get busy. The more we explored the more we liked cala dor.

good shops, resturants, people trying to sell fake goods can be a pain but just say no and they go away. big partys book resturants saves time . fantastic holiday fantastic place

Cala D'Or is a nice safe clean place. Very basic on the amusement front, but there are nice bars with entertainment, and shopping is good.
Lots of beaches in coves, lovely to sit in and very clean. Can get very busy as they are all small coves.
Well worth it if you want a quiet holiday

The resort of Cala d'or is lovely. There is a main strip with all the resturants/cocktail bars,mini golf etc. There are plenty of shops around the town. The mini train is a good way of seeing around the resort. The beach is lovely but can get very busy. A 10/15 minute walk takes you down to the marina which is very nice and has some nice resturants overlooking the bay.

ALthough it is a little way from Cala D'or (20 minutes walk) the resort has a few bars and a good selection of restaurants. The beach although small, is lovely and apart from a few jelly fish is safe to swim. A short walk away is the Marina where one can drool over the array of boats moored there - Chris Evans has one there. The main resort of Cala D'or is much changed from 20 years ago, but still offers a good selection of bars and restaurants. Call in the Red Lion on a Saturday night if you want to mix with the local Spanish having a night out..good cheesey Spanish music and a convivial atomsphere. Wicked resort, enjoyed our holiday lots.
