Disappointed by Can Picafort due to the lack of stuff to do. When we looked for a holiday this year, I didn't want to stay in Alcudia as I class it a Blackpool abroad, but we like the North-Eastern part of Mallorca so Can Picafort seemed a good compromise.

My Wife loves to shop, and although there are shops in Can Picafort, the range is limited and not very numerous.

We are the sort of family who don't like to spend all day sitting on the beach or around the pool from Dawn 'til Dusk so the lack of 'stuff' to do in Can Picafort itself was disappointing. We did go on one of the Delfin Negro boat excursions which was good, but couldn't really find that much else to do in the resort.

Luckly we had a hire car, so other areas of the Island were within reach. I would recommend a drive up to Cape Formentor as the views as you drive up to the lighthouse are fabulous.

Nothing bad really to say about Can Picafort apart from a bit too quiet for our personal liking.

Unfortunately, I did not think much to the resort which the complex was in, however my husband and daughter very much disagreed with me!.

I do not like lots of bars and restaurants which are geared very much for the English, i.e. The Rose and Crown selling fish and chips, burger and chips etc. I prefer to go to a restaurant which has a different menu (If you know what I mean).

All in all this holiday was absolutely fantastic and we would not hesitate to return to the Holiday Village Viva in a few years time.

Resort clean and people very friendly. Entertainment as low key or as lively as you wanted it to be. Plenty of bars and a couple of discos/nightclubs.

Beach clean with plenty sunbeds/parasols. Cost 2.5 euros each bed, but plenty room to just lie on a towel or airbed, traffic free promenade with lots of little shops and eateries.

All in all couldn't fault this resort.

The cleanliness of the resort is excellent. Spent a couple of days at the beach. The only complaint is there was a lot of fag ends buried in the sand. I will be visiting the resort agian next year.

The resort is very relaxed nice walks along the front. Two streets back and it becomes resedencial locals very friendly.

Entertainment o.k. Enjoyed trotters on the beach made a fuss of the kids turning soft drinks into cocktails to keep them amused.

Beach was busy due to high season, sea nice and warm quite a lot of weed though. Tended to catch the bus for a euro each up to Playa de Muro, beach and sea much better.

The resort is very clean and safe. Plenty of bars and shops for families. The only disappointment is all the fag butts which are found in the sand, not good for small children playing in the sand..Just needs smokers to be more cleaner thats all... The beach however is excellent safe for children.

Beach..
The beach was narrow and long with lovely sand. No watersports. We didn’t hire a sunbed so don’t know how much they cost. We bought a sun umbrella (8E) and mats (1.95E each) which we took with us when we visited other resorts and took home with us. There is a traffic free promenade a stones throw from the beach lined with restaurants & bars. No toilets on beach though.

The resort
Can Picafort itself was lovely with a mixture of quiet and more lively bars, a wide variety of restaurants and although there were the usual touristy shops they did nothing to spoil the laid back atmosphere. The high street buzzed in the evenings with hair braiding, artists, shops & stalls etc.

Conclusion...
For me, the worst thing about the resort was the busy roads and the lack of outdoor entertainment for kids.

Overall, 8 out of 10, a lovely resort.

Forgot to mention I put loads of weight on!!! because the food was good. Only ate out twice once when we visited the water park at Alcudia, but you are best off going to the western water park at Magaluf and again for Chinese both very nice.

(Got to mention) my yougest daughter really enjoyed herself made lots of friends (aged 11)still e mails them. Staff are friendly and we would go back but!!! as Ive already said there is a big wide world to see out there! So why not try something else?????

What have you got to lose????

Resort is very clean, not much night entertainment.

Very easy going and quiet holiday, beach is nice but gets much better towards Alcudia.

Would visit here again, a good spot to relax..
