Accomodation is clean but basic, no air con. but 2 very noisy fans, no TV or Microwave, not enough sunbeds. Location of the apartments is very good but security is a joke. Numerous break in's whilst we were there. Make sure you hire a safety deposit box and double lock your doors. Hotel Staff just seem to ignore the problem. Entertainment is mainly DIY from the reps and is ok for young children, but gets a bit repetitive. The Complex was reasonably quite poolside once the entertainment had stopped, but this was not down to hotel security. The whole place needs to shape up with regard to increased security with CCTV cameras on each landing block + roving Guards.

Just returned from an excellent two week holiday. Chose this hotel for it's location to keep the children (aged 12,12,14,15 & 18) entertained & we weren't dissapointed. Pool was fantastic - broken tiles in the shallow end that were scooped out each morning, but our kids always used the deep end which was fine. Loads for them to do within easy access of the hotel. They loved Benny Hills at night & the older ones went to BCM a couple of times. Beach within easy walking distance for them to come & go as they pleased (there were a few jellyfish in the sea though so they prefered the pool). Entertainment in the hotel was OK - but better suited to younger children. Couldn't fault our room, basic but very clean. Got woken between 4& 6am on some mornings by over exhuberent returning clubbers having their morning dip. Chris provided the daytime entertainment around the pool throwing people in if they wouldn't join in with the water polo.

The pool area was lovely.

There were plenty of staff to help with any questions you may have had.

Fiesta Tropico brilliant for family's. Mine are aged 7 - 11. Loved the kids entertainment especially Chris and Roley Poley and Lisa. Could'nt fault it. This was in 2002. In 2003, we went back again. Even better. Pirates, only about walking distance cost a lot, but was VERY good value for money. Son Amar better for adults, Western Water park best value on the Island. Lookout in McDonalds for vouchers to save you money there. Few break in's, was told by various other holiday makers it was people who had copied the keys the previous year and were using them to gain access to the same apartment. Reps were aware and assured us the locks had been changed? I did'nt see any evidence of locks being changed myself.

TOP TIP: Use the small personal family run supermarket shop at the back of the Jungla. Walk through Jungla across the road and it's right opposite. Much cheaper the Sahara and Jungla supermarkets.

Brilliant location, walking distance to the beach, if you like qualatie Indian food, go to Nawabs Indian restaraunt on the front. Not cheap, but good. Tom Browns is brilliant value for money, and had a mini golf course for kids.

WATCH OUT!!!
Lipee Lea (from the BBC's Passport To The Sun) is wandering around the island!!

Guess what? We're going back in 2 weeks! SO WATCH OUT!!!

We travelled in a group of 30 ranging from 2 year old up to 46. everyone had the holiday of a life time and all plan to go back next summer. everything you need is near by and all staff are great.
Good little scottish bar across the road "Curlys" run by a young lad David who would do anything to help you.

We have only been back 3 days and wanted to write about our fab holiday.
We were two parties booked seperately but let thomsons know we were together and got rooms next door, at the back near to the football pitch. Although we didnt get sun on our balconies at all as we were on ground floor, we didnt mind cos the boys loved the football pitch and we always knew where they were.
The pool was fabulous although i'm glad that my early mornings to get 'our spot' have stopped now im home. the sunbed situation was a bit of a nightmare and forget it if you get up after 8.30!
The kids reps, both Thomson and Fiesta were fab and they completely made our boys holidays. Especially Phil and Garry who put up with a lot from our kids!!!
Eating out was great, Tom Browns with the crazy golf(meant we could eat in peace!) and Lady Taverns are both a must for wonderful food.
This is a must place and would definately go back

Just got back from two weeks at the Tropico had a great time. Accomodation is fairly basic but comfortable. We backed on to the football pitch which was great for the boys. (previous comments state that people play on this at all hours of the morning this isnt true or at least not in June) The sunbeds are chained up until 9.00am but people are up waiting around for their spot from 8am - the beds do go very quickly after that.

The kids clubs are great and the children thought that Gary and Phil were great !!! you need to sign your children in for a place the day befdore the club it is busy and often places were all gone. the same applied to the evening club which was on 3 times a week for(3Euros)

Just got back from Fiesta tropica magaluf. the complex was clean , staff always cleaning the pool and gardening the flower beds. The location was great, close to the shops and all the ENGLISH bars, even showing Corrie and Emmerdale. the staff was great, especialy the kids reps although they didn't like it when i didn't book the expensive evening trips but with kids 2 and 4 i knew they were not for them. The western waterpark was a very good day out and within walking distance. The nights entainment was good my kids loved the disco but it could have gone on longer and not stopped for a quiz and bingo (not too much like butlins). I would go there again but not in high season i don't want to have get my sunbed at 4 in the morning.

This was the second time that we visited this hotel, staff were very helpful and friendly. We had 2 rooms as we had more than 4 people in our family one room was crawling with ants and dirty and the other was spotless! Repairs were carried out promptly if required. Hotel Staff were very helpful except those who struggled with the English language. Thomson children's rep were so good!!! I will be back again. If u go to this hotel dont miss the Pirates.
