On arrival the room smelt fusty and had mould on the living area and bedroom. Cobwebs on the corners of the rooms, fridge was rusty and needed defrosting. The bathroom was disgusting, the toilet seat had seen a lot of action! Tiles cracked and dirty, grouting and sealant need replacing. We had worms coming out of the sealant around the bath. Ants around apartment. We moved apartments on the second day. No mention of constant air traffic noise, this started at 7.30am until 10pm, this was literally over our heads. Also no mention of the basement,sub-terranian restaurant, the brochure stated conservatory style restaurant! Fellow guests had nothing good to say. Entertainment repetative, lots of bingo and quizes. The rep dealt with our complaints efficiently. Unlike other holiday reps. Ongoing repairs to poolside showers in high season. Will not visit again.

This is my third visit to the hotel this year, (Christmas, May and July) and my whole family find it fantastic everytime!
The entertainment is the best thing; activites through out the day and shows and mini disco at night (plus bingo and lucky 13), but sorry, no funky button for Ryan, got moved islands!
Go Emma and Hairy Clairy!

On arrival the apartment was dirty, it looked like it had seen better days, there was a upvc external glazed door as a bedroom door, the other internal bedroom door was broken, hinges were rusty and dirty. The kitchen units were broken and panels damaged. The bathroom was the worst, the bath had big chunks of enamel missing and was rusting. Tiles were mouldy and the towels must have been attacked by the biggest moths in the world!

The complex is run down and certainly in need of refurbishment, we were told later by the reps that it was due to be closed down in the winter for a full refurb! The place is certainly in need of a health and safety check over as many of the rails were loose and would not have taken the weight of someone falling against them.

There were not enough sunbeds or sun shades - we had to get up very early to secure a spot for the day!

On the plus side, the place is aimed at kids and our two 9 year olds enjoyed themselves and the freedom of running about during the day and evening in a fairly secure site. We tended to go out each evening for a meal and came back around 10pm so the kids could enjoy the entertainment (as it was!) then.

The entertainers were full of energy but often had difficulty in singing in tune - some of them were a bit under enthusiastic at times too! During the day we were sometimes punished with their rehearsals over and over again.

It was a bit like blackpool in the sun and the kids loved it!

Rooms are very basic, smelled musty, Towels were thread bare and full of holes. We shared our apartment with the ants. Small little ones but in large numbers even spraying them (Spray in supermarket 400 euros) killed them instantly but then there friends re appeared later - main problem area kitchen and my sons bed -

Pool was very cold but needed as it is very hot - make sure you wear high sun factor as with the wind you do not realise how hot it is and we saw a lot of burnt people - Sun Beds are the main problem you have to get up early to reserve them - they are uncomfortable and sticky

on arrival room very smelly, ants crawling all over,in the cupboards, in the beds, the bathroom, got the room sprayed but they just came back every time.Numerous occasions we had no hot water, door handle was broke so we couldn't lock it,tried but it just fell off.Room very grubby, rusty fridge, bathroom disgusting, ants coming up throught where the grout should have been.
Supermarket a complete rip off.not enough sunbeds or parasols, not that i would have used one because every one of them were broken.there wasn't even a life guard.
The meals in the restaurant were okay, nothing special.
We would never stay here again, the whole place should be pulled down and rebuilt again.Every one we spoke to agreed with us and couldnt wait to get home.Total waste of time and money.

Our apartment seemed to get a lot of unwanted visitors, insects - cockroaches mainly. So this is why I have given a low cleanliness rating.

Food at the snack bar was ok but if you wanted to vary what was on the menu the staff were most unhelpful, ie changes not possible. Take what's on the menu or dont!!

Location was good with a resort train stopping outside nearly every hour, this would take you to the harbour area which also went by the shops and you had a choice of stops enroute.

The entertainment was good for kids, it started early in the morning and finished late at night.

This was our second visit and we have booked again for August this year.

People reviewing this hotel/complex must be thinking they are booking for the ritz and expecting 10 star service, i think some people are being too picky and snobby about this complex.

We thought everything was brilliant, room was clean though we had two small problems as soon as we got in our apartment wardrobe shelf was broken and then our 3year old daughter decided to lock herself in the bathroom, both these problems were rectified within 5 minutes.

Food was very varied, my wife loved the food even as though she is very picky I got told off about eating too much put on over 1/2 stone with what I ate.

Kids reps are brilliant especially kim they loved her,
Activities were varied for kids they even did regular evening meals in restaurant just for kids, which was lovely we would get an hour of peace and quiet hoooorah.

Entertainment was good, especially the beach party lots of fun.
Entertainment in evening started with time for kids
Starting around 7:30pm then kids disco at 08:30pm playing all the sort of songs that kiddies like, beware you won't be able to stop yourselve's joining in when they play "cartoon hero's" every one will usualy get up to this.

At around 09:30 - 10:00 adult entertainment starts children are still allowed in here none of the usual no kids time any way this is a family holiday.
Drinks brilliant normal measure is like a treble so beware you might find yourself getting drunk a bit quicker than normal, beer drinkers only lager im afraid, i'm a dark stuff drinker but didnt mind this as when it is hot it tastes brill, bar staff are excellent especially "omar" speaks first class english, you might find an odd word he doesn't understand but you will probably be while testing him.

Pools are cold they are heated by the sun, but just jump in within second your adjust to temp.

If planning any trips first choice put an extra charge on for booking through them, there is a exclursion/trip shop in town centre which offers all the same trips cheaper, beware of osasis park, park itself is good but an orginized trip you are rushed around and don't realy get time to look at anything, though the camel ride is an experience to do, about the best thing about the trip, reps nights is also a must.

Plane noise wasn't an issue hardly heard it,
For us brits with children kids love mcdonalds and guess what there is a mcdonalds opposite the new shopping complex, also a burger king in complex.

Cat lovers will enjoy, tourocomplex sponsors twinkle trust, cat cafe's are around compelex where you can feed cats, all cats have been sprayed and are usualy freindly, you might find yourself wanting to take a cat home

Overall holiday excellent this is an ideal holiday for families with young children, teenagers are likely to get bored though, if you want lively go to corralejo, no lager louts here.

Car hire is cheap for a day trip

Enough typing for now enjoy .

Just back from a fantastic holiday staying in the caleta amarilla AI.lots of choice of different foods, have as much as you want in the resturant.Bar food served all day as well.picnics supplied if your out for the day.Lovely little villa style apartments with large terrace and small back yard with washing line, very clean and cheerful. Two pools to choose from side A quiet area with deeper pool and toddler pool, side B fun and games in the pool most days great for kids.Location long walk to seaside area but for one euro you can catch the train.Hotel staff are just brilliant friendly and helpful, there are lots of on site first choice reps, and as far as I am concerned they really make your holiday just perfect they work very hard to make the holiday one you will always remember. We will definatly visit again.

reps in kids club and entertainment guys excellent. our little boy aged 4 had a fantastic holiday with the kids club reps, this was excellent as got kids out of the sun at hottest part of the day. one complaint though the pool on "a" side was freezing cold.
the apartments were basic but very very clean.
the beach was a little bit of a hike but very very clean, and a fantastic breeze all day.
would highly recommend this resort for families, very pleasant staff and very clean accomodation

Having read other reviews of this hotel I was slightly concerned before we travelled. However, we were very pleasently suprised. Our apartment (on the A side) was spotless, the complimentary water and toiletries pack was a welcome suprise. A minor problem with the shower was fixed within a couple of hours of being reported by the helpful staff. The kids club staff were excellent (we had difficulty in keeping our son out of there!).

Food was plentiful and varied but to those 'chips with everything' people maybe it was not what they wanted. Restaurant staff did an excellant job in the face of the rudeness and sheer bad manners of many of our fellow guests however. It appeared that the 2nd week we were there a large number of the new guests discarded their manners as quickly as their clothes.

This hotel was value for money, comfortable and clean, in my experience. To those who want frills and no children this is probably not for you. But then again thats why its advertised in the families brochure!
