Location
The only down side I would say about our room is it was located in the section of the hotel which has the evening entertainment (Apartments no 3101 - 3335) so from 8.00p.m until approx, midnight you WILL be disturbed by the noise!!!!
The Castillo San Jorge apartment room numbers 1101 - 1336 are on the other side of the complex and the Castillo de Antigua apartment room numbers 2101 - 2334 are in the centre of the complex.
The location was perfect for us, within walking distance of Costa Caleta centre with just enough shops to get your duty free and holiday nic-nacs, we are not really into shopping so it was fine for us.
If you want a meal out there are plenty of place to eat, we had a meal in FADO ROCK, you might have to wait for a little while outside for a table but it is FANTASTIC. In general the All inclusive food was average and we always found something to eat. You can upgrade to AI at the hotel reception, it cost

I would choose the hotel again the food was great and the facilities around the hotel was fantastic as well as the location the day trips was awesome and the scenery was great to.

The apartments are large and spacious and with the kitchen area you have all you need including kettle, microwave, hob, crockery and a fridge.
The food was excellent and with a family of fussy eaters there were no complaints. Towards the end of the second week you do get bored with the food but that goes for every all inclusive. The snack bars are also good but the only complaint I would have is they are really short staffed with only one person serving so there were extensive waiting times for that and also in the bars at night.
The area surrounding the complex is beautiful, the location is also very good for local shops, bars, restuarants and it is only a short stroll to the beach.
The entertainment is not amazing but its not the worst either, they have a mini disco till 9pm then games for the younger children till 10pm then the caberet starts at 10pm and ends at 11pm. The all inclusive drinks ends at 11pm but the bars stay open till 1am if you want to pay for the rest of the time. If you are looking for a lively place this is not for you, the complex shuts down at 11pm and it is very quiet after that, although you can go out for other entertainment if you wanted to. This is a very family orientated complex
Overall we had a fantastic, relaxing holiday and will definately go back to Fuertventura, unlike spain the people are alot nicer and more friendly. The sun is hot but you have the breeze which is a godsend although you do also need to be aware of the sun and always use sun block even when its cloudy because of the breeze you do not feel the suns rays so much. We would definately go back to this complex but I think next time I would book a 2 bedroom apartment just to give us even more space due to the ages of our children which are 14 and 12.
This hotel has an excellent rule which is that people cannot reserve sun loungers by putting their towels down on them snd then leave the pool area. If you do this your towels WILL be removed and left at reception for collection. This rule only applies in the mornings.
You will have a lovely, relaxing holiday here so go ahead and book and enjoy.

Our apartment was extremely clean and was cleaned 5 days out of the seven we were there. Adequate kitchen area with breakfast bar and 4 stools. My son,s bed was already made up in lounge area and was not part of pull out sofa. Bed was part of living area but did not look out of place at all. Living area massive as was our bedrrom. 2 massive single beds and very comfy. We stayed A/I and would recommend.
Food as good and plenty of choice even my 8 year old ate well. Hotel one of 3 side by side but don,t be put off as doesn,t seem that big when you are in it.
Be warned pools very deep (1.4m in shallow end) All the kids ended up with arm bands so they could play in big pool even if they could swim.
Ideal location. Lovely walk along sea to main resort or if you go out of the front hotel pleasnat walk as well.
Entertainment not brilliant but kids mini disco good and ent team did their best. saw a couple of good shows whilst we were there.
If I could take this hotel with me on every holiday I would, it was great!

On arrival my main concern was that the weather was very breezy. However I can honestly say that these apartments were the best Ive stayed in under self catering.
My room was like an apartment with bedroom area and lounge area and a beautiful view of the sea. It was spotless and the maid service with clean towels etc was no. 1.
The weather was brilliant, just what you would expect for the Canaries.T here was only a short walk to one of the main beaches and this was also where you would find all the lovely bars and restaurants to suit everyone.
1 week later and flying home I was completely chilled and was glad I had been offered these apartments. As someone who is so fussy about rooms and anything else I could not fault this holiday and would reccomend it to anyone who wants a quiet time.............

The hotel was very pretty with water features and flower beds all around, three pools all with kiddies pools and snack bars, plenty of sun beds with mattresses from snack bars costing one euro per day. It was very quiet for most of the week we were there and we could have had a pool to ourselves sometimes.
The entertainment wasn't fantastic but the entertainment staff worked hard and did the best they could.
All the staff (with the exception of one woman in the snack bar)were all cheerful, helpful and friendly.
Now to the down side! The food was pretty poor, in the buffet restaurant the food was not kept very hot so unless you were lucky enough to get there just as they were filling up it was only luke warm and a bit dry. The 'show' cooking as they called it was definitely not worth the wait usually thin over cooked meat that had no taste whatsoever. After the first couple of days I stuck to salads cheeses, bread and cold meats, unless you are really fussy there was always something to fill up on. Having said all that if I was down this way again I would definitely stay here again but only on a self catering basis.

The entertainment team were very good - our children really enjoyed the kids club and the mini disco in the evening as well as the various games during the day.

Even the beds were bigger than the normal singles you get on holiday. Each building had its own pool, bar area, etc and our pool faced the sea/rocks, the only barrier being a glass wall and the public promenade.
It was an ideal setting and the promenade gave you easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. From the complex it was only a 5 minute walk to the harbour and beach.
Although we were there around half term, we found the complex relatively quiet and the only minor gripe we had initially was that our room faced the front of the hotel looking onto the road.
We asked to be moved but the complex was full. They said they could move us perhaps in a day or so, but we felt it wasn't worth the effort and in the end decided it hadn't really made a difference.
The road was fairly quiet and we found that in the afternoons we had the sun on our balcony as opposed to the sea facing rooms which were in shade. All in all we would definitely go back and recommend the complex.

We were in the Antigua Suites. The hotel is situated in an ideal location. Just a few minutes walk to the bars/cafes. (The Kings Arms at the end of the complex was very nice)
My only issues with the accomendation was -
1. The room was designed so that that your bedroom situated right next to the walkway that was used by other guests to access their rooms. At night you could hear everyone going by and in the mornings as the walkway was tiled you could hear the cleaners trolleys and people going bay.
2. No air conditioning. I would have expected this for the grade of accomedation. it was very hot whilst we were there and made it very unconfotable at night.
Other than these slight things it was a really good place. We never had any issues getting sunbeds and the pool was great.
With First Chioce you can save money by declining their transfers. We did this and got a taxi. The taxi cost 10E and we arrived, checked in and was leaving to go for food just as the coach transfer was pulling up. Likewise, we got a taxi back to the airport (10E) just before the coach transfer picked everyone else up. We arrived at the airport and checked straight in without any waiting.

First impressions; the room was large clean and well equipped. We were overlooking the road at the front of the hotel, but it was one of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed in! No air con so it was a bit hot at night.
The hotel was nicely done, with plenty of plants, water features, an aviary and some good play areas for the children.
We used the pool in the Antigua site most days as it was quieter and in the sun the San Jorge pool was in a courtyard area and a bit shady.
Outside there is a walkway which leads along the sea to the beach with chipmunks on the rocks bit of a walk but its flat!
Can't really comment on food or entertainment as we didn't use those facilities.
I did find the supermarkets on site expensive so find a Netto or Spar in town instead. It's a fairly central location for the restaurants and shops all on level ground.
I was a bit concerned about aircraft noise but it was hardly noticeable, but there was a bit of building work going on outside which wasn't too bad but they did tend to start early !!
All in all the hotel met our needs for the week and the three Elba hotels seem to be the nicest ones in Caleta de fuste.
