We had maid service everyday, clean towels etc.the pool was warm and very nice. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was the normal buffet breakfast. I would give this 6 out of 10.
We did go down to have a look in the dining area at night and the food looked very nice, but we are a couple who like to eat out. We ate 4 nights at the fado rock steak house, which was fabulous and cheap too.
Caleta de fuste is quiet (as we prefer).
We did get a jeep for a day, which was fun. We went looking for the American star shipwreck, 4 hrs later we still hadn

Considering we had to wait an extra hour for our room to be cleaned some of these problems had obviously just been ignored. We complained to reception who said that we could not be moved as the hotel was full. It may be possible to move us tomorrow but this could not be confirmed today. A maintanance man arrived immediately to sort things out but agreed that the problem with the doors was far too big to be sorted instantly.
We went back to reception, asked for the manager and were immediately offered another apartment. This was perfectly ok and came with the benefit of a glorious sea view. This was our third visit to this hotel and the problems seem to be part of general ongoing maintanance that is not carried out on a regular basis.
The staff were all pleasant and very helpful and the maid service was good. There were always cleaners working keeping the public areas and pools in good order.
We had previously booked half board but this time we booked a number of nights half board at the hotel as they were doing deals - 11 euros per person per day half board in the buffet restaurant where there was a good choice every day.
Because the hotel is part of a complex of three, even for middle of school holidays it was never overcrowded. The first towels were going on sunbeds at 7.30 and all belong to British guests. We found that going out in the morning and going to the pool mid afternoon we never had a problem getting beds and that being down at the pool at 6:00 pm was still really lovely.

The rooms are clean enough with good facilities for self catering.
The first problem we came across was that the rooms dont have any form of cooling, either air con or fans, when the temperatures at night are hot then basically you cannot sleep. Now this appears to be the norm in the resort, but not something Im used to.
We had a 1 bed apartment for 3 adults and 1 child, the representative in UK told us this would be fine, but to be honest it is too small for 3 adults and 1 child, the sofa beds have to be the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on, though the rep changed it for us to something a little better. This lead to a lack of sleep on holiday which probably wasnt a good start.
It was followed by 6:30 wake up calls from the building sites around us, and as we had to have the windows and patio open to keep cool, we were woken up early. I cant see this changing for some time as it is basically a building site right now, is whole the area.
The only entertainment was provided by the staff on site except for one night where they did a parrot show. They worked hard but just arent very good at the adult entertainment bit really.
There are some pools tables, table tennis, etc for kids, and the pool is nice and big but it does get very full and noisy as this is a family hotel. Not really great if you want a relaxing holiday I expect.
There are lovely views of the coastline, as the hotel is right on the front.
We only made one visit to the buffet restaurant for breakfast, and to be honest the food was pretty awful.

The hotel was very clean.
The staff were lovely and the views were breathtaking.
We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.
The entertainment was for very small children, so we just went to other local hotels at night for their entertainment.
The holiday was quiet, peaceful and refreshing, no loud music or flashing lights. An oasis.

Staff were not very friendly. The food was fine but I did find the prices of drinks very expensive.

The entertainment was tacky but fantastic especially for the kids, they really made all the children feel welcome and involved. My kids were crying when our holiday was over and it was time to leave !! Kids club is pretty unstructured, which suited us, you needed to make sure you stayed close by as the kids can come and go as they like.
Rooms not the best, but certainly acceptable and plenty big enough. Main problem was the heat, with no air con it was almost unbareable some evenings, but fans can be hired fom reception.
Only bad thing for us was one of the cleaning staff swiped a watch from our room, which I stupidly left on view, staff were less than interested when I reported it, but my own fault for leaving it in teptations way in the first place.
Anyway, overall a fantastic holiday, we all really enjoyed it and would go back again.

The aparthotel (one of three, also Antigua and Castillo Suites) was in all very nice. The pool areas were clean and well maintained and it was lovely to have a choice of three pools. The only downside was that, as we were still only in April, the water was quite cold but that didn't seem to put people off, especially not the children!
As we were half board we had the option to dine in the buffet restaurant in the evening and the days on which we did we were more than satisfied with the fare on offer. We didn't actually visit any of the other restaurants which formed part of the complex, choosing to venture further afield instead.
The complex is well served by shops and supermarkets, I read somewhere that there was a cheaper supermarket down the street but it only opened it's doors on our last day!
The San Jorge reception wasn't manned but walking the few yards to the reception in Antigua was no hardship and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The highlight of our holiday however was the Kids Club. The man and two women that ran that and the mini disco in the evening were worth their weight in gold! Our children loved every minute they spent with them and were sad to leave them!
