When I arrived in Fuerteventura I was pleasantly surprised and on arriving at the hotel it looked nice. We arrived and were told we would have to wait 3 hours for our room to be ready. It was 40oc outside so we went for a wander.
I had specifically asked for a pool/sea view several times and when I arrived at our room I was not a happy bunny. We faced out onto the main road overlooking two building sites. We are a couple who likes to put the kids to bed and have a wee drink on the balcony but everyone would have been able to gawp in.
The pool area was nice and the kids loved it. The staff at the pool bar were extremely rude they generally didn't serve anyone who spoke English! There were a lot of Spaniards at this hotel and they just sat around talking to the guy in the pool bar, several of us complained and he got moved.
The hotels location was good. Right beside the Atlantic and the coastal path behind the hotel was beautiful and the breeze was so refreshing. Right at the end of the path there was a lovely wee bar called 'cafe faro'. Great bar and nice munchies like garlic bread & pizza.
One place you must eat in is the 'Hong Kong'. It is in the main shopping centre and we ate in it four times. Nicest Chinese I have ever had. We also had breakfast the majority of mornings in 'Don Tomato' nowhere else compared.
The hotel entertainment was awful. Mostly in Spanish and you couldn't get served at the bar. We went out every evening. Good wee bar the 'Bailey' was upstairs in shopping centre no far from hotel. It had live singing with 'Denby' and karaoke. Lovely comfy sofas and good craic especially if you have kids.
Beach was alright full of stones at waters edge. We walked to the 'Atlantico' centre most days as they had two man made beaches there that were lovely.
Overall we found this holiday relaxing and nice for the family. Not much for kids to do but as long as there is sunshine and sand they are happy. Would return to Fuerteventura but maybe try Corralejo. Liked Caleta De Fueste but not the San Jorge

The food in the hotel was very nice didnt eat hear al ot though as we was out most nights, would recommend going on the Oasis trip (very good)my little girl loved the camel ride and all the shows they did with the other animals. Dinner was included think it was about 80eu for me,partner and little girl, great day out!!! Would say one thing wear some decent shoes as you do a lot of walking!!!!
We went to the water park Baku not a very good idea if your kids are under 4-5 my little girl was 3 at the time nearly 4,one minute she was allowed the kids slides the next they wouldn't let her,so we was stuck for 5 hours until the coach came back with a unhappy child.
When I came back I went to see the First Choice rep who said that there was loads of things for my little girl to do and she gave my half my money back, but as for the hotel it was great very clean, food very nice, staff great and i would certainly come back again.

If anyone has had reports of building work going on opposite the hotel, do not worry, there are only a handful of rooms overlooking this and a lot of them were being refurbished so they were not being used, we were in the middle of the hotel overlooking the pool and we did not hear the building work at all, even when we out the front coming in and out of the hotel there was very little noise and no dust or mess.

The rooms were very clean towels were changed every 2 days and the sheets every 3 days. We had a sea view which we didn't ask for but it was lovely as the nights could be very warm.
The staff was very friendly and spoke very good English.
They were refurbishing the complex when we arrived but didn't interrupt our holiday.
The food was good but a bit expensive so we ate of the complex every night, there was plenty to choose from and within walking distance. If you wanted to go to the beach it was a good 10 minute walk with a crazy golf nearby, there was a marina with boat trips available and seals swimming around and peddle boats to use which we did and a good laugh.
There isn't alot of nightlife on this island and a lot of building work going on but you can still have a good time, we would go back in a couple of years when it is all finished as it was a lovely place.

The staff could not have been friendlier, and the animation team did an excellent job with the children. Being on my own with a 4 year old was quite daunting but they did an excellent job of including us in all activities.
The Hotel restaurant was great value and the food of good quality. Plenty of choice for children.
As you can see we enjoyed it so much the first year that we returned...... that should say it all!
The are 4 seperate pools to choose from, one of which attracted families with small children and another which attracted teenagers. This obviously alieviated any concerns for parents with younger children as you did not have to worry about them being accidentally knocked by the older ones.
To be honest the only reason I have not visited this hotel for the third time is because Skytours no longer include it in their accommodation list and I have been unable to find a tour operator who does. Unfortunately the Castillo St Jorge, part of the same complex, has only large rooms which makes the cost for the two of us too expensive. Should anybody reading this know of a tour operator please do leave a review as I long to return....

The apartment was very large and well-equipped, the kitchen provided basic amenities but these were hardly used because of all the excellent restaurants close by.
All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and always happy to help.
The Animacion entertainment team were fantastic, always providing activities during the day and entertainment in the evening. The hotel-run Kids Club and mini disco in the evening was well received by our 5 year old son.

Not handy with 2 babies under 2!!
One day we only recieved two towels for five of us. The cleaning of the apartment was very poor, all requests to the hotel were rarely fulfilled, including a request for a high chair every single day that never arrived.

I work as receptionist in Castillo Antigua, San Jorge y Suites, and I agree with most of the complain of Ms Andrea.
But it is something that I do not agree. I remember this guest and it is the truth that she asked for a high chair everyday, and one of this days, I told her that we rent from reception the high chairs, and the hotel do not supply without charge high chairs for rooms.
So, Ms Andreas can complain about cleaninless, or changing towels, that it is a thing that after reception is informed, we send maids on duty to replace them, but not for something that reception rents, and hotel do not provide.

The apartments are very large and well equipped although we did ask to be moved three times unsuccessfully due to the building work from the swimming pool under our balcony, our balcony having no sun and the noise from the pub and outdoor entertainment area beneath us.
There were also minor faults with the bathroom door and the television and some lights not working but as we got a good AOA deal we were not too displeased but if we had paid full price we would have been very disappointed with these apartments. The reception staff were not at all helpful.

The part we stayed in was really nice, with two gorgeous pools which you could go in and you didn't even have to get up early to "reserve your sunbeds!!"
The food from the pool bar was really nice and very good value also with loads of shops inside the resort where you could buy presents and even lilos for the poor, again at excellent value!
The entertainment wasn't brilliant but was funny as some of the sketches they did were hilariously laughable!!
