This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

The beach was very nice and clean however you will pay 9 euro for two sun beds.
The shops sell much the same and things are expensive
There is Peiros cafe is a great place good entertainment and friendly staff
The resort is nice with just enough around for you to do and most places are not open late so very much not for party people

Caleta is a modern place. I went alone and felt quite safe. There is a nice beach, I believe but to be honest, I am not a beach person so did not see it.
Plenty of supermarkets if self catering. The Atlantico centre, about 3 euros in a taxi - has a cheaper supermarket and several other shops and cinema.
Lots of eating places in the resort. There is a little road train that goes the length of the resort, 2 euro return.
Entertainment, to be honest,I didn't venture far in the evenings but Benidorm it isn't. I found it to be relatively quiet and enjoyed it more so because of that.
The airport is about 10 minutes away but to be honest, the planes did not bother me at all, hardly noticed the aircraft noise. No late flights either so not bothered with noise at night. Costs about 10 - 12 euros in a taxi each way.
Travel - frequent cheap buses around the island and car hire is reasonable.
I recommend that you visit Chipmonk mountain, a few minutes away from Villa Florida where I stayed. Buy a bag of monkey nuts ( peanuts in shells) and the chipmonks will feed from your hand.
Trips out - I really recommend Oasis Park, the Zoo. It is a lovely day out, about 18 euros for the coach return and admission. Also, can go on a Fuerteventura grand trip - I missed that one - and also a day trip to Lanzagrotty - as you can see, I did not really like Lanzarote.
The resort is very clean and there is a lovely breeze on Fuerteventura which I found very nice.
Would I return? You bet, I have booked to return in November / December.

We loved Caleta and are thinking of buying a propery there. It is a very clean and well looked after resort with enough to do there and close by to keep you busy if you want to be! Feeding the chipmunks and the fish (by the floating shop) were inexpensive and enjoyable ways to pass the time. Eating out was pretty good about the same prices as here and food generally good. we went most nights to O'Connors Irish bar which was excellent all round, food service and entertainment, we think the singer should sell C.D.s!

Costa Caleta is about a 15 minute walk from Caleta De Fuste. There is a shopping mall with a good variety of shops and places to eat.

Beach here is excellent. The resort was quiet but that suited us fine. Plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants to choose from. Look out for happy hours and meal deals as they are everywhere.

Great resort much nicer than correlejo, great beach and lovely to walk along front. You can see that future deelopments are improving the place all the time, advice as regards this accomodation is walk to the beach and get train back, as uphill. If you like it busy tho with lots of shops and bars, restaurants you may be dissapointed at this time of year, luckily we dont. The submarine trip is good fun.

The resort of Costa Calleta (Fusta) as the natives call it is very clean, and friendly, with plenty of amenities, restaurants and bars, there is a 18 hole crazy golf course near to the Barcello hotel back entrance, although we never used it it seems fun, plenty of places to walk if you like that, we liked to sit down in the evening on the promenade near to the beah and just listen to the surf crashing onto the beaches, very idyllic, there is a chidlren play area in the Commercial Centrico shopping complex.
Beach is clean if somewhat stoney the closer you get to the sea, but very good still the same, sunbeds on the beach are about 5 euros.
The beach is about 10 minutes walk from the Broncemar Hotel.
There is a little white train that stops just opposite the play area that for a euro each passenger takes you round the resort of Calleta.
There is a free bus that stops daily outside the front of the Barcello Hotel that takes you to the Oasis Animal park, it leaves at about 9.10 am, and returns to the hotel at about 5pm, there are quite a few Barcello hotels in the resort, the one I am referring too has a glass front that you can see people walking along the landings to their rooms.

Caleta is a small resort town with lots of places to eat and drink ranging from the usual English chips-with-everything type places to the more local-style restaurants which I think are excellent value for money.
Sadly for the town, many shops and restaurants have closed down which gives the place a sort of neglected feel, which is a pity, but there is still enough choice, and certainly no shortage of supermarkets! Apart from beach stuff and tourity knick-knacks, there are virtually no 'proper' shops. Visit Rosario for these.
The beach in the town is not the best in the world as you have to negotiate a rocky patch to get deep enough to swim but it is not unattractive. A 10-minute walk further along brings you to a lovely sandy beach which is ideal for swimming and there is a bar for food and drink at the end of the 'pier' very close by.
It is pleasant to walk along the 'promenade' and down by the harbour, although I would not recommend doing this at night as the road lighting is pretty poor.
There is a bus-stop on the edge of town which takes you to Rosario(15-minutes away)and from there you can get buses to other places on the island which, if you don't have a car, is well worth doing.

Caleta De Fuste is a small clean resort with a nice harbour and very good beach there are plenty of good eating and coffee places. We were there in December and it was very quiet which was pleasant. It must be a lot busier in summer. We would stay here again.
