Didn't bother with the themed restaurant, the normal one was excellent.
Rooms in Main Hotel have more breeze and sea view. They are also closer to the main facilities

Try for pool view room. Some of the ground floor apartments at the rear of the complex didn't get any sun.
Don’t come here !!!

Correjo was excellent for a family, a wide range of restaurants, our favourites were poco loco and the slow boat 2 ( at then end of the meal in slow boat 2 you get a brandy type drink in one of their special glasses - ladies be prepared!!!!)
There were plenty of shops and a couple of chemists were antibotics could be brought over the counter - (very handy)
The beaches were clean - the sand dunes are lovely to look at, but not ideal for young children.

Corralejo is a lovely resort, very peaceful but we were put off a little by the local dogs fouling the streets, especially as there was lots of children about. The entertainment is mostly in bars and cafes with bands and djs playing most nights. We went mostly to the 7 pints pub which shows all the football matches on big screen and is based in the Plaza centre. The beaches are lovely and clean and down by the harbour you can catch the ferry to Lanzarote or hire out jet skis. There are people on the beach near the harbour who do amazing sand sculptures, the detail on some of these are fantastic. This has been our second time to Corralejo and we will definitely be back to visit.

The resort was a little too commercial to what we're used to but on the whole enjoyed it.
Plenty of British type pubs in the newer part of town and plenty of places to eat, but be prepared to be asked to eat at the various places constantly. Although, if you like chinese food try the Slow Boat II.
Plenty of shops for electical goods/perfumes/tacky gifts etc, but try the various Netto Supermarkets for food shopping.
The town beach wasn't busy at all with plenty of bins around for your rubbish and safe for kids with the tide coming in or going out. But try either catching the bus for a euro each or take a taxi ride for approx 4 euros to the Sand Dunes - lovely, but beware of the nudist part of the beach.
Would visit again.

The Waikiki beach in the main resort was very small, rocky and dirty.
The shops were plentiful but quite tacky.

Nice beaches, but too strong winds to swim in. Town under heavy development. Tacky shops, ni culture and expensive. I cannot recommend it.

Corralejo is an up and coming resort and therefore has some building work going on in various parts of the town. This is mainly on the outskirts, and I have been told this should be completed by 2006. None of which interfered with our holiday.
There are several places where you can eat and drink.and further into town you go there are a few disco type bars.we did try a few different places 1 english ,1 spanish but the best and the one which we visited for most of the holiday was don camllio,s which is on main st.
The food and service was excellent and we also found that if you tried too speak spanish the waiters were brilliant and even helped us too learn new words/phrases. If you want great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices this is the place to go.
One thing that did get on my nerves was the way you are accosted along main street by various restaraunts to eat in their place.
The beaches in Corralejo are reasonably clean and with a shallow step into the sea make them very child friendly. At the beach we visited there are 2 beach cafes with decent food at good prices too.
The best beach we visited had to be Olivia beach which is 15 min bus ride from Corralejo or a 30 mins stroll. It is everything you need for a day at the beach and a place you have too see to believe.
