Go above 2 floor avoid roadside, Adults only so quiet hotel until dog barks.nice staff and they even have a bearded lady who is quite a colourful character in the restaurant.

2 weeks before email and ask for 3rd floor or higher, near as possible to the elevator, with a pool view.

I liked the island the water parks are good the beach was ok we had a couple of good nights at the Yumba centre even the kids we also went to Puerto Rico that was nice I would go again but at a different hotel.

We have stayed at the Sunwing three times it is great would recommend it to anyone. we cant wait to go again.
It was really nice that each time we go back the staff have remembered us.

The resort was clean but there was quite alot of cockroaches during the evening which put me off. There is alot of bars and clubs in this area which can be a bit mad in the evenings. The hotel was positioned in the centre of the resort meaning you were bombarded by reps trying to give you free shots and cocktails(which are alcohol free - as we discovered). The night life is good though and there is a large range of places to go from kareoke bars to nightclubs. The irish centre is fun and if you like dance music go to Keane's bar the DJ is awesome. There is a range of stalls in the Irish, Kasba and Yumbo centre's which are worth a look around!! The beach was ok. There was plenty of watersports to take part in. There sre regular buses to the waterpark and palmitos bark(wildlife park) and only costs 1 euro on the bus.

loverly 4 mile beech. everybody friendly. food good, beer cheap. watch out for coloured people, they will rip you off.
must visit the english bar called big ben, near santa fe bungalows. nice food and english friendly staff.
there are three centres in 'playa des ingles'. theres an irish centre, a gay centre and a nightlife centre. all three centres have shops and good ones too.

There is enough entertainment to suit anyone. There is the irish centre, Plaza and the Kasbah offering good night life with plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants. If you dont fancy that the drag shows at the Yombo centre are good for a laugh!

I was amazed at how busy and popular Playa del Ingles was, there is so much to do, millions of bars and restaurants, we hardly ever went anywhere twice.(Except the Harp in the Kasbah which was good for a few chilled out drinks early on.)
Irish Centre is good for a drink and a laugh but nothing Irish about it really! The Kasbah is more for getting up and dancing and stuff.
Shops were Ok, and on the whole it was a good place you were never short of things to do and places to go.
One complaint - i did not use a single toilet in Playa del Ingles (apart from in our apartments!) which didnt make me feel sick! Really bad every one of them!
But thats the only thing bad!

The resort isn't exactly the cleanest in some areas, particularly the Kasbah. The beach and Gran Chapparal areas were better.
The beach is simply amazing. It's clean and HUGE!!!!!!
If you've got kids take a visit to Palmitas Park, but it's set well inland, so go in the morning before it gets too hot. A taxi to it, from Santa Clara Bungalows cost 12-14 Euros.

Would recommend the Yumbo resort to everyone. Huge Centre, with many bars, restaurants, shops and kids shows. After dark the entertainment is varied but excellent. Kasbah Centre and the Beach are are also very good. Woudl recommend Finnegans Irish Bar and thier sister pub, Shananaghans (Opposite the Kasbah and down to the right) for excellent food and then drinks, quizes and music.

It was hard to know what kind of resort Playa des Ingles was, not a very picturesque one and sprawling to say the least. The beach was lovely though and there were several shopping centres worth a visit, like Yumbo and the Kasbah, but all in all i found it a rather downmarket sort of resort and not very attractive. I would return to Gran Canaria but not to this resort.

the resort was kept very clean and tidy and the entertainment was great( considering we had 4 kids with us)all of the reps were nice and the kids enjoyed going to the kids club. the beach was lovely but sand hot
