2 weeks before email and ask for 3rd floor or higher, near as possible to the elevator, with a pool view.

Playa del Ingles is very spread out, with different centres and shopping areas.
Some parts of the resort I found to be bit grubby but mainly clean in most places.
The entertainment was good but mainly catered for 20-30 age group.
Food was lovely and we found the Irish centre to be the best place and cheapest for drinks.
The beach is very big but not the nicest I've seen. The sand dunes make up for it though absolutely stunning walking through them, mind the nudist area which didnt bother me.
Palmitos park was a super day out, what a lovely area it is in. Huge cactus and exotic plants everywhere.
For a special night out night we went to Garbos which is a show with dinner and a free drink. Fabulous cost 90 euros for the 2 of us but well worth it(was my 40th birthday that day and they took me up on stage with other birthday and anniversary people to dance to "ymca" it was a good laugh)so keep Garbos in mind if you want somewhere special to go.The meal was lovely and the place very posh inside.
We did like the resort but during the day wasnt much to look at unless you were inside one of the centres, saying that siesta time for the shops too,we ended up in a bar if not on the beach.
I would have much prefered if there were stalls around the streets like market type ones just something to look at while walking about.
Taxis were very cheap but mainly walked everywhere. We visited Puerto Rico and Mogan both very nice.
Not sure if I'd go back to this resort and i couldnt believe the size of the dreaded... COAKROACHES..beware if you dont like them mainly running about the bars at night I was terrifed and sat with my feet up when I saw one lol, saying that I hate any creepy crawly so dont be put off if they dont bother you that much.

This is a repeat visit to this resort for me and the first visit for my partner and we shall definately be coming back! There is plenty to see with the different centres, my favourites being the Kasbah and the Yumbo Centre for the shopping! The whole resort is clean and well maintained with a good variety of food and different things to do. I enjoyed the jeep safari, horse riding and the the market at San Fernando. Taxis are plentiful and cheap as are the buses, so getting around is simple. The beaches are great and there always seems to be a pleasant breeze so you dont feel too overheated. We will definately be coming again!

Tends to be windy on the beach.Usual timeshare reps and people with "info" on their green luminous coats that offer you 2 drinks for price of one ect can become a nuisance.Has a reputation of being noisy but found it was ok even with hotel quite near centre of resort.Taxis are cheap if travelling " local " and buses are cheap if intending longer journeys within the island.Good standard of cleanliness that would be welcome in most English resorts.Several trips offered by reps can be purchased cheaper locally, such as the maspolomas camel rides about 10 euros at the centre but twice that if through reps although probably get drinks and a meal on their trips.Stories of Yumbo centre at night make it sound worse than it is, although lots of evident gay spots they are no problem as far as I could tell and families were enjoying the drag shows there.By day the Yumbo as well as the kasbah and many other shopping malls are worth duty free and souvenire hunting. The dunes between Playa del ingles and maspolomas are worth a visit. In October the sea was warm but waves were heavy although tolerable.A nice resort plenty of palm trees and exotic flowers, but little grass due to lack of rain.Sun shines 52 weeks a year here. was 23 degrees in Jan when I visited 28 in October.

The beach is great, however, there are a lot of steps between the upper promenade and the beach, and there’s no way to avoid these except by taxis which are plentiful and cheap. The beach is great when you get down there, busy around the main access points but quieter once you get past the rows of sunbeds and parasols waiting to take your euros off you, quieter still towards the dunes of Maspolomas which are worth exploring though beware the German nudist beach if of a sensitive disposition. There are plenty of café’s and bars along the main promenade serving all manner of snacks though as it was quiet when we were there the staff kept pushing menus in your face as you walked past. Also beware the yellow jacketed ‘INFO’ people pushing local bars Africans selling sunglasses, most have a smattering of English and seemingly not much idea of the concept of ‘No’ – try learning ‘no’ in an obscure language which works wonders!
Shopping is easy, both CITA and YUMBO centres are an easy 10-minute walk away with a full variety of shops, café’s and bars. Other centres are a bus or taxi ride away. YUMBO had 3 café’s doing a full brekkie for 4e, and it was possible to get all manner of meals for under 5e. When we went they were unseasonably quiet which meant it was impossible to window shop without being harassed by staff too pushy for business, good shops for leather goods, perfume and electricals/electronics etc but haggle hard, start walking and the price plummets. YUMBO especially provides a good start if you want a night out but beware the higher the level the ‘gayer’ it gets.
There’s a choice of eateries in YUMBO and CITA centres to suit all tastes and pockets, plus the beach promenade as well. We liked Los Porches on Avenida de Alemania though, good staff, great food and excellent value and its only 5 minutes walk.

Playa Del Ingles is a place that has something for everyone. I found bar and shop staff all very friendly and helpful.
Don't allow yourself to be pushed into buying anything that you dont want. A simple and polite no thank you always did the trick.
The resort was generally clean and the beaches excellent.

There was so much to see and do in playa del ingles that we did not have time to do or see it all. We were in a large party aged from 2-45 and found that all age groups were catered for. Lots of child friendly places to eat and drink in.The beach was huge and buisy, would need to go down early to get loungers. Would definately go back again as we all had a brilliant time and could easily have stayed for another two weeks.

Playa del Ingles has something for everyone especially for young ones. Clubs to go to are China White and Cube Cream is good but not free to get in.
Then the best bars are Molly Malone’s and all Irish bars and if you like a posh meal the Maspalomas el Faro centre is a must, best restaurant is Grand Italia but there is loads of others too.
And really nice posh shops. Lacoste, Hugo Boss and others.
