For breakfast go to Britannia (excellent food and staff), and for evening meals we went to La Rosa (yellow rose), again excellent Steak!!.
Nights out, recommend the Irish Centre - Mulligans outside it just go there every night and soak up the Music you can't go wrong.
Would I go again? - Of course!!

I thought that Playa del Ingles would be a slightly tacky resort....I was pleasantly surprised.
Yes, people will always say it is Blackpool abroad, but I would prefer to stay here than Blackpool any day of the week!
The promenade area is particularly pleasant in the evening...just ignore the people trying to entice into their bars and restaurants, they take it well and don’t make a nuisance of themselves if you are polite to them.
The beach is not the prettiest beach but is perfectly clean.
The g-a-y scene is around for all to see, but does not bother families at all, we visited many a gay bar in the Yumbo and found them to be friendly and entertaining (of course, being a family we were out in the early evening, and on our way home when the real entertainment started!)

The resort has obviously been around for a long time and is a little dated and visits along the coast revealed cleaner more modern areas / hotels. one suprise however was the absence of litter which we found a bit of a suprise, it must also have been the only time that we never saw or heard a bin lorry.
The shopping centres were a little intimidating as every time you looked in a shop window the staff came out to try to sell you something. it was also similar with the 'time share' scratch card peddlers and 'Info' men who tried desperately to get you into their bars and cafe's and this became an irritation after a while.
Some of this report may sound a bit negative but overall we had a really enjoyable holiday and would recommend it.

Not particularly a clean resort but no different to other major popular tourist resorts apart from Benidorm where which is very clean.
Beach is excellent especially if you walk along towards Maspalomas, loads of room. Have been to this resort 7 or 8 times and usually go in February or October and have always had excellent weather and for that reason alone will go back.

Playa del Ingles is a lively area, with lots of night entertainment and plenty of restaurants.
The beach is massive and kept clean with loungers available for hire.
For culture and day trips worth doing you had to venture to the local resort Masapalomos which has an water park and plenty of other things on offer. Although Playa del Ingles had plenty of shops and the beach.

Playa del Ingles is fabulous. It's my 5th time here and I just love it. There's soo much to do here. I'd recommend Rickys Cabaret Bar in the Yumbo Centre. You're guaranteed a great night of entertainment. It's karaoke from about 9.00pm until about 12.30am and then a full comedy drag show which is different every night and extremely funny.
The beach is very clean and stretches for miles. There are loads of places to have a drink/meal. You're spoilt for choice.
I'll definitely be coming back for a 6th time.

The resort was very clean and tidy the maids cleaned abd changed the linen and the towels on a daily basis.
The resort didnt offer much entertainment but this wasnt has a problem, as their were bars and resturants within walking distance, the beaches where out of this world really lovely.

Resort as a whole is good with many areas for different tastes. you have the Kasbah for the younger generation with plenty of clubs and pubs to choose from. Then you have the Yumbo which is predominently run and visited by German, Scandinavian and Gays but is smart and tidy and very up-market a typical German centre.
There are also English and Irish Centres for typical pubs with the Gran Chaparel being particularly good especially the Wembley's Bar for the English and the Highlands bar for the Scots.
Beach is average with many pubs and restaurants close by but the only disadvantage is that it is a very windy coast and sand does fly everywhere most times.

Playa des Ingles, a scuffy seedy sprawling concrete jungle, do not go.
