A nice family holiday. However found the entertainment a bit of a let down. Local Yumbo Centre is full of bars and restaurants which at night have entertainment such as drag shows and there are several Gay bars and Gay sex shops, so not for the easily offended. We did find a restaurant down by the beach "Roma" which had tribute bands each evening so my kids preferred to go down there. wouldnt visit resort again, only because come night time was not much choice of entertainment.

Playa Del Inglis is rather large so try and stay near the fantastic beach. Lots to do and places to eat. Try and see a bit more of the Island though. Zig Zag Jeep safaris is the best way, they are based in the Kasbah. In the evenings it has to be Shananigins in the Prisma centre. Things really get going 9.30pm-2am.

We stayed in Playa del Ingles. This resort is quite spread out but within walking distance of shops etc. the bus service is very good and doesn`t cost much.
The taxis are cheap but if they give you the wrong change just sit and argue till you get correct change.
This is something the reps don`t tell you.
Unfotunately it happened to us and we lost 18 euros.

Gran Canaria seemed pretty fun and buzzing with lots going on. We found the beach a bit dirty with some very odd characters trying to sell us crap.
Yumbo centre was good for a laugh...must go there with a very open mind!!Lots of bars and nice retaurants too!!

We love Playa and have been going twice a year for the last eight years. The Jumbo Centre is very laid back and we meet many of the same people over and over again!
We have already booked for Nov and May off next year

We really enjoyed our time in Playa del Ingles. The beach was excellent (if a bit windy!), the resort was nicely presented and the weather was great for most of our stay. The sand dunes near by are fantastic and we had a great time exploring them. We would recommend the Aqua Park, and also a camel ride! Though no need to do the expensive ones, the one in Maspalomas will do just fine.
What we loved so much was the diversity of the visitors to the resort. Though its name is "Beach of the English" there are many nationalities here, and also a range in ages. It was refreshing not to just see hundreds of larger louts. Also, there is quite a lot of gay tourists here, which if you're open minded means you will have the chance to experience some great nightlife in the Yumbo centre bars. Straight couples and families visit the cabaret bars and it's all good fun. If you are not particularly welcoming to different types of people though, maybe you should look to another resort.
I would definitely recommend this resort, and will return again.

The cleanest resort by far - considering that this is a resort bustling with youngsters in the Summer it certainly doesn't let it's cleanliness slip.
There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from, you won't get round them all in a week!!!
Do not leave without seeing the Maspalomas sand dunes!!!!
