The rooms are basic but clean, and have all the facilities needed for self catering although i must we ate out most of the time. The pool area is lovely and there is never a fight for the sunbeds. The view from the room was amazing and i belive that all rooms in this hotel would have the same view as they all have a balcony facing toward the sea. Entertainment was brilliant day and night, and happy hour was the best part!
The hotel staff are always there to help although i will agree with some of the other reviews that one particular staff member in the supermarket was rather miserable - mind you i would be too if i was stuck in the shop knowing there is a a nice cool swimming pool downstairs!
There is a centre very close to the hotel which is literally a 2 minute walk with plenty of retaurants and bars to choose from! The Blarney stone is great for a bit of Kareoke and Flicks is brilliant for that hangover cure of a nice fry up!
The centre down the bottom of the hill is about 3 euros in a taxi, El toro's steak house is definatly worth a visit the best steak house ever. If you prefer a nice relaxing meal with a beautiful view get a cab down to Amadores beach (the best of the two beaches) and it is lined with reataurants with a lovely romantic view.
I would definatly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to re book!

The hotel itself was quite nice although the receptionist likes to ignore you for 10 minutes while you stand there like an idiot. The pools were really nice and no problems with sun beds etc, food was ok but not great.
The rooms were not well kept, plug sockets hanging off the walls and the towels were so disgusting that we had to buy new towels from the local shop.
The entertainment was ok if you like watching drunk people in sumo wrestler suits battle it out or drag queens performing madonna songs.
Wouldnt go back if it was free.

Our first room was clean and perfectly adequate for what it was required for, but a bit close to where the laundry was done so it was a bit noisy, we were moved with no problem whatsoever as soon as a room was available. Facilities were good, kettle, toaster, fridge all you need to make a cup of tea and keep the beer cold. The poolside snacks were good and great value for money, the restaurant buffet did look a little bit tired so we steered clear of that.
Having stayed at the top of the hill last year we purposely chose up at the top again and did not regret it, beautiful views out to sea and over the resort.
The Hotel staff were always polite and helpful, Eve and James were great doing the entertainment, they kept the kids happy, both little and 'big' ones. a dubious canarian Folk night (I don't think they will be repeating it!), a hypnosis show, drag act, something for everyone and something to keep you amused most nights.
I can't wait to go back to these apartments again, the sooner the better!!!

Great pool layout plenty of loungers and you don't have to go down early to get them.
Angela was great with the kids and the pool entertainment which went from 11am to 5pm, night time had a professional show + all the other games, bingo, quizzes and karaoke which went onto about 2am.
met alot of nice people there and ended up having 1 of the best holidays ever had. it was just a pity it was a wee bit closer to the main resort but they had plenty of taxi's which were dirt cheap.
Will go back next year.

The location is excellent, it's two mins away from the Europa Centre, which has restaurants, amusements and souvenir shops. If you want to venture into Puerto Rico there's a regular bus but we found that a taxi was cheaper for a family of four.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
Entertainment was fantastic, which was main reason we booked this hotel and it didn't disappoint. As it was the start of the season it was quite quiet but there was a kids club which my children never used so I can't comment on that. But they had entertainment in the pool every day, and quizzes around the pool. In the evening the kids were kept busy with a disco and games and then the adults entertainment came on, which was very good and suitable for children to watch.
Only negative was that the pool was a bit deep for children, they did have a children's pool but if your kids want to go in the big one then it does get quite deep quite soon so beware.
I'd definitely go back here again without a doubt.

Every night we came home to cockroaches crawling all over our bathroom, we later found out that this was due to the fact that a fixture in the toilet wasn

The Rooms were not nice, not cleaned well on arrival and not cleaned well while we were there. The Beds were Dirty and Hard. The TOWELS stank! time after time, so much we could not bare to get dried on them. And there was a serious pigeon problem, the balconies were covered in droppings, despite trying to clean them with the mop provided. Around the grounds of the hotel, pool and public areas were clean and nice.
Location, well its on the top of a very, very steep hill and the views were very good, it's cheaper to hire a car and get about than take taxis over 2 weeks.
Our room was above the pool and we could hear constant pumping of music from the Euro Centre in the valley, our the diabolical entertainment laid on for you! oh and drunks in the pool till 4 am !
Well the staff, reception spoke reasonable English, the Shop prices were acceptable but the staff were miserable.

Food in hotel very nice and reasonable price.
Plenty of entertainment if you want to stay in the hotel, but we went out most nights.
Pools nice and warm considering we were there in Feb. smaller pool is quieter if you don't like the pool games or music too loud nice to have a choice!
Our kettle broke half way through our hols but only mentioned it to the cleaner and we had a new one before we came back from the beach, so no complaints at all.

One of the best things about this hotel is its heated swimming pool. Our stay at other hotels in Puerto Rico in the winter have been let down by the coldness of the pools. The main pool at the Colina Mar was superb and no mad scramble for sunbeds...a most welcome feature.
Our room on the second floor was spacious and kept clean, although in need of some "tlc". A half day with a paint brush, hammer, screwdriver and some new bathroom sealant to replace that which had gone a bit mouldy would have made the world of difference! Oh...and some towels which actually dry you would have seemed an absolute luxury!
All the staff seemed to work extremely hard and were very friendly. We would certainly return again.
