Had a great holiday at Colina Mar. Plenty to keep the kids amused day and evening.
Rooms spacious and clean all with sea views (take your binoculars for the best views).
Two minute walk to shops, bars and restaurants, about 20 mins to beach down the steps or 3 euros in a taxi takes about five minutes.
Food in hotel reasonable and tasty, bar area nice and not too noisy.

The hotel was in a good location. The best place to eat is only 5 minutes away at the europa centre, called the barbacoa. quite a walk to the beach. The best beach is amadores much nicer than puerto rico.
The staff were friendly
The only problem was that the hotel was not that clean. The cleaner didnt come for two days in a row, which normally wouldnt be a problem however we noticed tiny ants crawling around in the bathroom that were increasing rapidly. We complained and the problem was sorted out quickly. The bed sheets were not changed all week.
However we had a good holiday!

Found this hotel vey adventurous,long and very deep with lots of stairs and all white decor.
The manager was always there at recepetion to greet you when going to room. Found the room very common Spanish like every room you go to but very spacious with all mod cons.
The staff were nice room cleaned every day and at the bar the same,we went s/c so the hotel food cant say but the snacks were pretty good and great value.the pool area was smashing plenty of beds and great nice people everywhere to talk to.
The entertainment at the hotel is okay ,the kids play the machines and you watch shows while getting drunk and at the end of the night you've had a great time. Same as all the hotelsI've been at.
Well I will go back here yes, very relaxing for all of us had a really nice time 1 week is plenty

Excellent hotel. We had a awesome time here.
Staff very helpfull. Great kids club and great evening entertainment.
Food was really nice but great location for eating out as the Europa centre was very close by.
We as a family will come back to the colina mar again and again.

The hotel was very clean and so was the rooms they were cleaned 5 days out of 7.
The location was great because you are less then 2 mins away from the small centre at the top where there is a taxi rank to take you down to the bottom centre for about 3euros.
There is entertainment on all day which is great fun. I am planning to go back next year. It's Great.

Booked allocation on arrival & we were all really pleased with the Colina Mar. As you are so igh up the views from the balcony are fantastic and it is less than 3Euros down to the beach and main centre. The Europa centre is only a few minutes walk away & includes bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shops.
The hotel is very clean and the rooms had everything you need. The pools are both of a good size although the main pool does tend to get very busy & noisy and is full of kids. But the 2nd pool is much quieter. It was nice to have the option.
The cabaret shows which we saw on the evenings was very good (although one show was cancelled).
We stayed half board and the food was very good. Breakfast & evening meals were both buffet style and there was plenty to choose from and the choices varied every day (although it ay get repetative if you're there for more than a week).
I would suggest making time to go on some of the excursions. We particularly enjoyed the waterpark (but expect long ques of up to 40mins for the best slides!) and the jeep safari. Jeep Safari taked you into the centre of he island and the views form the top of the mountains are spectacular. This also includes an off road drive down to the bottom which is great fun but you do need to take something to tie over your face as is it very dusty!!

The room was clean and spacious, and the view from the balcony was beautiful, and we had no problems with cockroaches, at all! Our room was cleaned often by the cleaners who were friendly and good at their jobs!
The hotel food was very nice and although we were self catering we chose to stay and eat at the apartments the food was always well done, and the menu changed daily. Every evening while having our dinner we could look out at the spectacular view and see all the lights.

We have been to puerto rico 4 times now and have stayed in the colina mar twice, its fantastic for the kiddies, and even better for the adults, me and my husband are in our 20's and our little girl is 5 it was everything we wanted the bar is open till about 2am with plenty of happy hours....lol.
The kiddies entertainers are brilliant. Its just non stop fun! even in the day time the entertainment is there if you want it.
Although it's right at the top of the hill, there is a little shopping center with plenty of bars, resturants, and shops...ect, we thought was a ideal location as we have stayed in the middle and at the bottom of the resort and the night life music is very loud....so sometimes it can be a little bit difficult to get to sleep.
All in all I would definatly recoment the colina mar you and we will deffinatly be staying there again!!!! 10/10

Although it's right at the top of the hill, there is a little shopping center with plenty of bars, resturants, and shops...ect, we thought was a ideal location as we have stayed in the middle and at the bottom of the resort and the night life music is very loud....so sometimes it can be a little bit difficult to get to sleep.
All in all I would definatly recoment the colina mar you and we will deffinatly be staying there again!!!! 10/10

The rooms are very basic and not well furnished at all, although they did seem to be putting new kitchen units in some of the apartments on our floor.
There were alot of workmen up and down all the time who transported their equipment around in metal cages, the noise was terrible.
The maids were not to thorough with their cleaning. The pool area was fine with plenty of sunbeds available with umbrella's too.
The two young females entertainers provided fun and games throughout the day. If you have stayed in the nearby Puerta Azul and are expecting the same standards, then I think you can expect to be disapointed.

When we arrived at the hotel, all the worried us was the fact that it was very high up and quite out of the way. But at our reps meeting we were advised that cabs were very cheap down to the main complex, they were in fact only 3 euros.
The rooms were clean, and were being re-furbished while we was there, but noise was kept to a minimum and didn't start too early! Safes were also available in rooms.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The 2 reps there Emma B and Kim were great, they worked very hard to keep everyone entertained throughout the day and evening.
We would also like to come back to the hotel again in the future.
