Booked hire care on the internet which we picked up at the airport. Very easy to drive and found the hotel straight away. Had read the reviews so we asked for a refurbished room on a low floor, which we got, but we overlooked the tennis courts, but we didn

We cannot fault the hotel staff they were very helpful and always pleasent. The food was very good with lots to chose from. Our room was clean and tidy, if not a little dated. We felt the room could do with a make over. As in keeping with other four star hotels. We do however feel the charge for a safe should be included in the price and tea/coffee make facilities in the room would have been most welcome (a travel kettle would have come in handy)

We enjoyed the tours offered by the Thompson rep (Rebecca)who was very helpful at all times. We would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it.

Cleanliness in the room was very good, as were the main reception areas of the hotel. But it was let down badly in other ways.

Most days there were plenty of cockraoches and other insects roaming the passageways which the cleaning staff seemed totally oblivious to as they just walked past them with no thought of removing them.

Another area was the outside sections. Most evenings as we walked around, we noticed empty bottles/glasses and even trays of coffee cups abandoned around the place (what sort of scum inhabit these places?), and lo and behold, there they were at 10:30 the next morning as well - untouched.

This can be put down to the undesireable element of holiday maker who has no thought for anyone but themselves as well as the lack of cleaning work being done.

Hotel location was alright, but why on earth was the gate shut at seven in the evening? Especially if you need your room key to get in or out. Absurd, especially if you are physically handicapped and can do without the extra mileage during the week.

All the reception staff were fantastic and very helpful, but one barman in particular in the piano bar was rude and discourteous to my wife one afternoon. Fortunately for him I wasn't present at the time as I'd have got the hotel management involved and demanded he apologise to my wife. He needs to remember what he is being paid for. I won't go into detail, but a Spanish guest was a witness to this incident and told my wife that he too was disgusted with the barman's actions.

The guy who was showing us to our table in the evenings seemed insitant that we needed to run to the tables when he was showing us where to sit. When he looked back and saw that we were several yards behind him, he huffed and grunted and waved his arms to hurry us up. With my wife being disabled and unable to walk very quickly (or even at a normal pace), he became exasperated by us and stood there with his hands on his hips looking at his watch. These people do not deserve to work in this industry. Needless to say there were no tips left at the restaraunt section or the piano bar section by us.

Would I visit this place again? Not a hope in hell.

It is very interesting to read all the different opinions you get on this hotel, so here is mine.

We went to the Lanzarote Princess on the 23rd June 2005 for a week after it was recommended to me by friend. We have always stayed in 5* hotels but they didn't cater too much for kids, so we thought that we would give this a try.

On arrival the staff were great and we received a warm welcome and were taken to our room which overlooked the pool on the ground floor. The room was spacious enough for the four of us and was very clean. We only saw one cockroach during our stay which was out by the pool area. The pool area was very busy every day and despite the rules, you had to get up early and put your towels on a sunbed or you just wouldn't get one. I have never had to do this before in previous hotels and I don't like doing it, but if you don't then you won't get a sunbed. A towel and bed cover was 60 euros per day each.

The entertainment people were fantastic with our kids and kept them busy all day. There was also entertainment events for the adults throughout the day which was also great stuff and helped you meet other people staying at the hotel.

The food was superb, and I can be a fussy eater. Lots of choice and there was also themed food nights.
Breakfast was also very good with lots of fresh fruit on offer.

Of an evening, the kids had a disco and then the entertainment team would put on a show or an outside act would come in. We could not fault any of this.

My only gripe was that the air-conditioning did not work very well in our room, but this was only a minor gripe as we were on the 'cool' side of the building.

All in all, we had a fantastic weeks holiday and we are trying to book again for the kids summer holidays.

If you are looking for a very good hotel with lots of entertainment laid on for adults and the kids then this is the place to try.

We have just returned from the H10 Lanzarote Princess. The public areas and the rooms were clean. However, we were located in one of the rooms which were not refurbished and we felt the room was definitely not 4* standard. In my opinion the room, although clean was a bit shabby. The bath had bad staining on it because it was so old and the shower head fell on top of you when you had a shower. However, when I complained to the rep, she arranged to have this repaired. I had already complained to the hotel reception but they just ignored it. Also, our towels weren't changed for 3 days. When I complained to the rep she said we should have put them all in the bath if we wanted clean ones and that this was stated clearly in the hotel booklet. I advised her that I didn't have a hotel booklet in my room and had no idea that this was the procedure.

The food was fine.

The location of the hotel was good. You don't have far to walk to get to shops and restaurants. However, this is a very quiet resort and perhaps suited more to older couples or couples with young children. Definitely not for young single people or families with teenage children. Playa Blanca is very clean and the beach is lovely. The hotel staff were friendly but the entertainment was not great.

Having been to this hotel and resort I would not return again.

My husband and I went to this hotel on 16 June 2005 on a half board basis. We arrived late at night and found that the hotel had put on food for late arrivals. It was more than welcome.

The hotel was clean and the facilities were excellent. Our room overlooked the sea and had a massive balcony. The room itself was spotless but a little dated. The aircon was effective if you let it run constantly. The bathroom was old but clean and there was always hot water. The towels were changed daily and the maids always made up the room.

The food was fantastic and was themed Italian, Chinese, Mexican etc. Fresh food was cooked as you waited the rest was buffet style we always ate in the hotel and that is unusual.

The pool facilities are excellent, 60cents a day secures you towels and seat padding to use with the beds and parasols which are free. A lot of selfish people hogged them all day despite being there only 1-2 hours. The beach is 200 metres away and is clean.

A quiet resort not for young clubbers but for relaxation great.

The entertainment was okay but more child orientated, the bar was reasonable with cocktails costing the equivalent of

This hotel is wonderful value for money. The staff work very hard and were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned every day and the reception , bars and pool areas were very luxurious although the bedrooms need updating and the air con was terrible - a constant 24c in our room! our rep informed us that new air con was being installed the day we were going home.
Plenty of choice of food, although it can be a little bit repetetive, but we never went hungry.

The animation team work really hard and if you have children you can't go wrong as they are entertained all day and into the evening, adults are also kept busy with the rifle shooting, water polo, billiard and mini golf competitions

Excellent 2 weeks!! Can't praise it highly enough! The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent with enormous variety and special themed nights (Chinese, Italian, Mexican etc) Pool area was immaculately clean as were the bars and restaraunt. Air conditioning was a bit antique and could do with upgrading! Entertainment was very good with excellent musicians in the piano bar. Lots of activities for adults and kids if that is your thing. Location was very good, just across the road from a very nice, safe beach. All in all a very enjoyable time. Would definately go back here folks!!!

I thought the hotel was excellent.

The room was large and well appointed - it was cleaned thoroughly every day - the bathroom was really nice and the water was always piping hot.

Food was adequate - the usual buffet type fare but very good of its type. The breakfasts were of a high standard, plenty of variety.

Hotel situation is perfect, just across the road from a shopping centre and onward to the beach.

Staff in the hotel were very good, friendly and efficient.

There was entertainment but I didn't really get involved with any of it, but other people I spoke to said it was very good.

Spent two weeks here again this year (3rd visit) The food was excellent - if you didn't want what was laid out you just joined the queue (always short) and waited whilst it was cooked for you.
Dining room staff were good but busy.

The hotel was spotless and the cleaning staff were always pleasant. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk of the main beach but as the sunbeds and towels at the hotel only cost the equivalent of
