Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. Death would be better.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

I hadn't visited Playa Blanca for nearly seventeen years, so was happy to find it really hadn't changed much, other than to have expanded either side.
The new (to me) marina area (not to be confused with the harbour) is definitely worth a visit.
There is a small beach in the town itself, then two big beaches either side of the town, Playa Dorada to the east, Playa Flamingo the the west.
Absolutely spoilt for choice regarding good restaurants, and plenty of bars.
Good choice of supermarkets.
Lots of shops selling typical tourist goods.
Good transfer options, either by local bus, taxi, or one of the many private transfer companies.
A generally laid-back atmosphere is still apparent in Playa Blanca, did not come across a single 'lager lout', thankfully!

The resort of Playa Blanca is a typical Spanish sea side resort. Much wider spread than I first anticipated with 2 small covey beaches that were well used. Plenty of waterside restaurants and drinking bars at the marina with comfortable Chesterfields and furniture to watch the world go by.
Taxis galore and clean to boot. All in all a resort to go back to without any reservations.

in fact we love Playa blanca and have just bought a villa while in "rubicon palace"
"papagayo beaches" are gorgeous . rent a car , 82€ a week, you have a lot of "manrique" things to visit.
Playa Blanca , in the evening is a little quiete , you drive to Puerto del Carmen for the fun and drive back to Playa blanca to be quiete it's the best way to do

Playa Blanca very quiet at this time of year. Lovely Marina with a nice market on a Wednesday and Saturday. Good promenade all the way from one end of resort to the other, quite flat so good for buggies or those with walking difficulties. Lots of nice shops to wander round in centre of resort.

The distance from the main area of Playa Blanca was a five minute stroll (no need for a taxi?) and all one straight line. There is a great pub about 2 minutes walk away called the Irish Anvil, they do some good lunches!
Some lovely restaurants in the main resort, but it was very quiet to say the least! Not sure if that was because of the kids being at school but I did notice that a lot of bars and restaurants were virtually empty?
Nice resort and great weather!

Playa Blanca is nice, the harbour and the walk along the promenade reveals many shops and restaurants and places to book excursions. A stroll on a hot night with the sea breeze is wonderful. The town centre is lovely and filled wil all kinds of shops and restaurants. The boats bobbing about on their moorings all add to the atmosphere, wonderful.

the beach at playa blanca is tiny! possibly the smallest we have seen, but very clean & not too crowded for the middle of july which surprised us.
there are plenty of shops (which we ladies loved!) for all your souvenirs & even a small market at the end of the row of shops!

The beach near our hotel was beautiful. It was really clean and the sand almost white. You could hire 2 sunbeds and a parasol for 9 euros (only catch you had to have all 3) for the whole day. If you didnt want to pay for a bed there was plenty of roon in front of and behind the 2 rows of beds to put down a towel. Paved walkway round to the harbour and the resort centre had lovely views of fuerteventura. Very passible for those with walking difficulties or in wheelchairs as very flat.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
