Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

The resort was beautiful and so were the beaches. I found Playa Blanca to be very friendly and the locals were lovely. This is a lovely resort for families as it is flat, so very good pushchairs. There is some lovely walks and great markets, with some great deals. I would go back, though defiantly not to the Hotel Corbetta. There was hotels along the sea front that i have been told are very nice.

Golden Beech Why did I post that? Madness crept in.
I should have posted Dorada Beech.
The Town Beech is almost non existent.
I must add I found it too quiet for this 74 year old.

Cleanliness OK
Entertainment - OAPish
Dorada beech the only one of note and that has about 500 sunbeds leaving little room for others.
Return visit unlikely except for winter sun.

playa blanca is a lovely resort. ive stayed in puerto del carmen before but this little town knocks spots off it. everywhere was spotless and the beach was clean and safe with gentle shelving into the sea. there is a lovely prom leading one way to the new marina and the other way to playa blanca town. the prom is lined with shops and bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. the best thing is to find a tapas bar, sit in the sunshine with the blue atlantic ocean crashing over the rocks and try some tapas, we had beautiful razor shells, fresh grilled sardines, bubbling hot wild mushrooms then king prawns and canarian new potatoes served with hot mojo picon sauce and crusty bread, just sit back with some wine and people watch and enjoy! quite a few places have live music at night, we went to Mollies Irish bar which was great fun and on our second night the barman remembered us and had our drinks ready as we walked in! some great evenings there singing along. would i visit playa blanca again? absolutely!!

Only visited 1 day.
Lovely views, mixture of sandy conves & rocks. The beach was clean but had no shower/foot cleaning facility where we were.
The usual shops on sea front/1 street behind is better for shopping/bargains.
Watched 2 fishermen gut some fresh fish....this entertained the kids for 15 minutes!!!

Lovely quiet resort, few bars, mainly restaurants. Great for families, we ate out every day and each time our three year old was made to feel very welcome. Not for the young and lively though, just very relaxing and laid back. Lovely.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
