Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. Death would be better.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Playa Blanca ticks all the boxes for me ... the fabulous beach, the sea front prom leading to all the shops & bars and the reason to go self catering is the wide choice of places to eat,you name it , it's there , from traditional English to anything Spanish Italian , Chineese ' steak houses etc. most facing the sea with great views as you wine & dine.
All the usual English bars serving up beer and football, but plenty of intimate bars giving you a taste of spain .
Our second time to Playa Blanca & it won't be our last, it's a peaceful low key tidy ,safe &clean resort.

Not much going on around the hotel. A few bars and one showing Sky Sports. Nice walk along a lovely promenade - quite romantic!
Supermarket over the road from the hotel was poorly stocked - probably more in my kithen! However there are a couple about 10 minute walk along the prom.

Having been to the resort before I knew that the resort was very nice, clean and the Dorada beach was very good. However, as the hotel was so fantastic I never left the resort in 2 weeks due to so much going on in the hotel, there was no need to leave.

The resort was filthy, Entertainment poor, Beach was OK, I would visit Playa Blanca again but would never go back to this dump.

The resort was very nice, with a harbour that is up and coming and the main town with restaurants and shops. A pathway along the sea front runs the whole length of the resort, which is very well used and feels very safe. The beach was lovely with great sand and safe for children due to not getting much higher than knee height if you walk out. We will definately go back to this resort and highly recommend it.

After several visits to Lanzarote as a family we have decide that Playa Blanca is the nicest resort on the island - by far. It has the best choice of beaches which are all excellent and essy to get to on foot. There are plenty of restaurants, many on seafront which is all pedestrianised and is a great place to people watch.
Nightlife is low key which is well suited to the resorts clientele which is mainly families and couples.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
