Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. Death would be better.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Beaches

Resort was relaxed and quiet with a good selection of bars, restaurants and gift shops. Along the front there were one or two selling t-shirts and hats, there was a lovely shop selling bathtime smellies, joss sticks etc.
Resort appeared to be clean and tidy, beach was of a good standard. Unfortunately, we only moved to the resort in the last 3 nights of our holiday so didnt get to see if there was any watersports.

Not the liveliest resort I have been to, but not the worst.

playa blanca is by far the best resort for you if you like a fairly quiet holiday, the entertainment is low key,no nightclubs, good choice of restaurants, great cocktail bar owned by an ex pat couple,3nice beaches, much nicer than the dark sand beaches of puerto del carmen, plenty of good quality shops, pretty harbour, great views of fuerteventura,go there for a day trip by ferry, close to the fantastic papagayo beaches,i love this resort!

Playa Blanca is a nice resort with numerous restaurants and several bars.
Couple of nice beaches although the deserted Papagayo beaches 5 km away are stunning.
The resort always has a lovely breeze to cool you in the hot summer months.
Worth taking the ferry fromthe resort port to fuerteventura only 45 mins away for a total contrast and cheap day out!

try the brisa marine for food,
try the fun pub later for music and drink.
is 'gaza' still singing there??? he was great.
an ex pat from the north of england who never went home
from a holiday.
my only fear is the extensive development will ruin the
gem of a place eventually.
Playa Blanca is less crowded and more family oriented than the other parts of Lanzarote I have visited. However, as with all of Lanzarote the wind can be a real problem. There were adequate shops, pubs and restaurants but choice was limited. The beaches in Playa Blanca are small but the Papagayo beaches are wonderful. However, because of the wind, I don't think we'd go back.
The resort of Playa Blanca is quite good except for the harbour area which could do with a clean up, the promenade is very pleasant and the beach tiny but better than nothing, the shopping area very good as much of it is pedestreanised.
nothing to say but Excellent location for family with a beautiful beach and fab restaurants. Went for 14 nights and ate out 13 of them with a great meal each time. WEll worth the money.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
