Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Resort is quiet however this was the type of holiday we were looking for.
A few bars and restaurant but most entertainment is hotel based.
Ferries to Fuerteventura leave from Playa Blanca which is a bonus.

We ate at Playa Blanca every night there is a large choice of restaurants with mainly the same food on the menu and as they are all so close together not much variation in price. The waiters adore chldren and always made a fuss of my three, which immediately puts you at ease, they all got a lolly(or 3) after their meal. My Dad had his 70th birthday while we were out there and the waiters made a great fuss of him, singing and bringing him a free drink. It was perfect for our holiday as very family orientated and not too young. The Island is absolutely amazing and there is so much to see we clocked up over 1000km in two weeks. I would recommend it to anyone. we particulary liked Old Teguise town, it is really pretty and unspoilt. We did visit Puerto del carmen, but didnt think much of it, we spent a few hours on the beach though. All the beaches we visited were very clean, papagayo were beautiful but no parasols for the kids and also the sea was a bit rougher than some of the others, we liked costa teguise beach and also playa flamingo at playa blanca. I could go on and on, we had a fantastic time and couldnt fault anything really.

Good beaches and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Shops on the "main drag" bristling with watches, cameras electrical goods and aggressive salesmen.

I loved the resort of Playa Blanca because it wasn't too touristy, but had enough there to entertain.
There was a very good selection of restaurants and having eaten in about 8 of them I couldn't find fault in any.
Marina Rubicon is very pretty with some nice restaurants and lovely views.
Playa Blanca seemed to me to be the least spoilt resort on the island and probably the only resort I would visit. I loved it!!

Playa Blanca
from the perspective of staying at Rubicon palace
you are on the seafront, out of hotel to your left is towards the harbour, playa blanca commercial centre etc, resturents/bars/shops all along harbour far side then papagayo, great walk about two miles did it at least once there and back every day, excellent views, great fishing all along, all sorts of boat trips out of Playa Blanca harbour, or taxi is 3 euros. out of hotel to your right, nice walk one mile to lighthouse, you must see waves/surf/sea boil around the light house at least once, take your camera. Also push bike hire ' papagayo bike at hotel entrance, and when back would def hire car. Mountain walk out of front of hotel, but only for the fit!

Playa Blanca is a nice location on the southern tip of Lanzarote away from the hustle and bustle of Puerta del Carmen. Great for a relaxing time with a nice seafront promenade to stroll along. Hire a care and go and see the island with its amazing volcanic lava flows and you are also not far from the beautiful beaches of Papagayo.

Excellent resort. Very clean, pretty and interesting.
It is worth hiring a car. There are many sights to see, particulary those relating to Cesar Manrique and it would be shame to visit Lanzarote and miss these.

This hotel is situated at the southern most point of the island. The area of Playa Blanca is lovely, with plenty of shops and a nice clean beach.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
