Me, my partner and family stayed in Green Oasis for a week in August. The only complaint I have with the hotel was that since we were on ground floor we got the occasional cockroach!

Food was great, as were the staff. It was very rarely noisy and it was in a great location, and only a short distance to the nearest bar or local shop.

There is a bus which goes to the beach as it is a way out. Water is cool but it's just what you want when the temperature is boiling!

The entertainers in the evening tried very hard, there was bingo, karaoke, bird shows and some dance shows.

I think people who review these great hotels are too picky and encourage people not to go. But it is nothing but a good hotel and I had a lovely holiday!

We are a family of four aged 40, 38, 14, and 12. After reading the reviews on this site we went on holiday here, this turned out to be the worst all inclusive in 10 years that we have ever been to!
When we arrived on Thursday night we put into a room which was situated right at the front of the complex. This meant that the room the children were to sleep in was right on a main road, also our bedroom window look right out onto a staircase! We asked to be moved straight away but were told this could not happen until Saturday. So we had to wait and could not unpack properly. Whilst still in this room, in the morning we discovered we were also right above the restaurant, so we were woke up by all the smells coming up from the kitchens which included a lot of fish!! It was enough to turn your stomach before even going there. Well Saturday came, and the one thing in their favor, the move actually went off relatively smoothly. The room we were moved into was much better situated and we were pleased with the location. This was until we discovered that the room was infested with ants! This really did open our eyes to the lack of cleanliness around the whole complex, the floor of our apartment was so dirty that after being back from the pool for just 20mins our feet were black. The floor in the main entertainment bar was so sticky our feet stuck to it as we moved around that we had difficulty holding onto our shoes, it was like this for the whole 2 weeks. The stairs and the general area around the top pool were never cleaned. We had the same old dirty rag in the corner of our balcony from the day we moved into it, and it was still there untouched when we left to go home. The rubbish around the bin areas was always all over the road, with sticky slime running down the road the smell coming for it made our stomach turn plus the local cats and cockroach

Arrived at about 8.30pm and after dragging our cases up a very crumbly road were given our apartment keys. Then were faced with a very steep flight of stairs down to our apartment and then up another one to the actual room. The apartment itself was very nice, big bedrooms with plenty of storage.

We overlooked the middle pool above the animation room. I did feel our balcony was very small - couldn't sit around the table as it wasn't wide enough. The first night we were woken at about 2.30 am by a group of girls jumping in the pool and having a carry on. I asked them to keep it quiet as I'd 3 kids trying to sleep, they quickly left then. The next night it happened again with another crowd of of people. As you may guess this seemed to be a feature almost every night. Dispite complaining to reception - 0n the phone and in person nothing was done and asking to be moved(no spare rooms!).

One night it was so bad I had to get dressed at 2am and go to reception only to be treated very dismissively. In the end I had to shout at the crowd myself to get them to move. This was not what I would expect to have to do as they are supposed to have their own security on site.

The food was also very poor - very much catering for the mainly spanish visitors that were there. The kids found it hard to find something they liked to eat apart from my teenager who loved the salad bar.

The animation team did go someway to make up for the disappointment in other departments. They worked their socks off from 10am until midnight everyday. The kids loved them and the shows they put on.

The barstaff worked hard but were understaffed and there was often big queues at the bars.

My son also got a nasty cut on his toe in the pool that required medical attention - luckily we'd made friends with a nurse and she treated him as I'd heard that it cost one person about 115euros to get the same thng done at a clinic.

The local kids also seemed to get free run of the pool when the school(behind the complex) shut. The were very rowdy and young kids often got shove around and ducked. Only once did I see them getting moved on.

In all I felt the complex was very run down with broken and crumbling footpaths, a pool in need of some serious re-tiling and some of the rooms had patched up paint work (those under pool bar). The reception staff also lacked in people skills. I won't be back!

we stayed at the green oasis for 2 weeks in May 2004 we had an excellent time here.

Cleanliness was absolutly fine regular cleaners came, restaurant was always clean but we did find the night entertainment bar didn't get a regular mop.

Location was fine although our kids didn't want to go anywhere anyway, they wanted constantly to do all kid club activities, which ran 5 times during the day then mini disco at night.

The staff here were totaly fine, no probs. The entertainment team, Debbie, Sven, Jurgen, and Ronnie where excellent, a real credit to the holiday, our kids, Danny and Georgina are still asking if we can go back, they were always getting up on stage for certificates they'd won during the days kids clubs. We were also called or dragged up, I've got to say Reece and myself aswell as 3 other guys and 3 other gals were grabbed up for a man V women comp.....women won of course, brilliant laugh.

The entertainment done by the animation team was unbeleivable they really did do it well, the acts they got in weren't a spot on what they did, except the hippy show we did like that.

We would definatly go there again our kids wont let go and we wouldn't get away with not going back with our kids going on. They are only 7 & 4 but driving us mad already only been home 2 weeks. we all had a great holiday at green oasis.for me it was the best holiday ive had in years.The staff were lovely and the entertainment team were amazing.everyone was so freindly sven,ronnie,and the girls.We met a lovely german family and we are all hoping to meet up at green oasis same time next year.The choice of food and drinks were good,and the rooms were lovely,clean and spacious.Cant wait to go back next year to see everyone again,BRILL

Rooms very basic (holiday camp) but clean.
The food was awful. Ate out every night after suffering it for 2 nights. Staff were fine. They tried.

Entertainment very childish.

Drinks tasted awful. So cheap a quality they gave you a crashing headache after only one or two if you managed to drink them before the paper cup disintegrated.......

Wine at least was served in a plastic cup but had to spit it out on the first taste.....absolutely foul!

Old town was very nice.

If you want to eat in a really good restaurant go to La Cascada...so good you may have to queue. Best steaks ever ...its worth it.
