Stayed at these apartments in May after reading various reports we were really looking forward to going and it did not dissapoint. Lovely hotel very clean, maid service good but linen not changed while we were there although it did state on pack that linen changed weekly, towels twice week and cleaned daily.
No problems with staff all seemed friendly enough. We were lucky enough to have room 705 which I did phone up and request for a higher floor a week before we went. Would not like to think that we had a floor below 4th floor as these looked very gloomy and dark although we never ventured down there for a look.
Also worth asking for a pool view as the views are really good looking out to the sea. Television had a good variety as well sky sports (that was me happy) sky movies (sometimes replaced with discovery chanel) bbc1, 1 euro lasts about a hour.
Did not try food in hotel always dined out so cannot comment but the equipment in the room was good quick hob, oven, utensils although could have done with microwave etc.
Entertainment was provided by Craig which was sometimes poor which I will put down to the lack of people if more people down there I am sure this guy will start to be in his element. Kids never tried the kids club so cannot comment on it but I am told it is run by Craigs wife? For some reason it seemed as if the hotel was only half full we expected more with it being half term.
There was never no fighting for sunbeds as there was always loads left. Would definetly go back to this hotel again.

We stayed half board at this hotel and were all impressed with it.
The hotel was very clean,we had no problems whatsoever with cleanliness.
Our room was cleaned every 2 days including bedding and a change of towels.
The pool was nice and clean with enough sunbeds for everyone.
In all the whole hotel we found very clean.
The hotel was very close to the Aqua park,which we all loved. And also close enough to the beach,although the path from the hotel to the beach is very slippery.
Hotel staff were ok. The Waiters were very friendly and went out of there way to make sure our 5 year old had everything he wanted.
The receptionists were ok but didnt really speak to them because our reps Michelle and Mike were brilliant.
The entertainment wasnt brilliant but that was only because not many people went,although Craig was brilliant and tried his best.
We would definately come back to this hotel.

Hi we stayed at this hotel because of the location, it's not in the main area so was nicer for the kids.
The staff were great could not do enough for the girls.
Pool is great very clean ideal for kids.
The food was very good but could have done with more choice for kids.
The entertainment was cancelled most night because the hotel was almost empty which was fine as by 9.30 the kids were ready for bed. We are off again to the same hotel in May 2006.

I have stayed at the Ocean Beach 5 times with my husband and 2 daughters and loved every thing about it.
I recommend this place to anyone who'll listen. I have always got an excellent room and never had any complaints about it. The only thing this year I had (and I'm just back 3 hours) was the entertainment, Jimmy boy (James) the best entertainer has left and been replaced by "crazy Craig" and will never be as good as Jimmy. Found the evenings quite cheesy and only went twice but I heard he's new so I

We are back a week now and have to say we had a great holiday as we were a bit apprehensive about going to Tenerife with a 3 year old as we always heard it was a bit mad!.
The Ocean Beach is a good choice of apartments due to location for Puerto Colon, Aqua Park & Skypark, Eugino centre and a lovely Chinese & Francis restaurant across the road. It's a nice quiet area I found, ideal for families.
Pools were fine, was a bit slippy at times near the kiddies pool which would need rectifying but otherwise fine.
Was disappointed at no sweeping brush in our apt, otherwise we were in room 807 with a great view and it was nice & clean & well serviced with towels & bed linen.
Reception staff were terrible though & I found the rep a bit on the dim side! Craig was like someone Phil Kay would impersonate.
We are not into that bingo type entertainment & never went to it so I cannot pass comment, a lot of other people seemed to enjoy it though.
All in all, I would stay there again as we did like it and found the other guests really nice & the children all had great fun together in the pool, all ages mixed which was lovely.

Good dinner buffet style really good value for money.

Stayed at the ocean Beach Aparthotel Playa de las Americas Tenerife in April. We were s/c basis. In room 211. Bedroom a little dark but other rooms ok. Large patio area outside for the kids to play in - safe fenced in, as they are only 4 and 6.
Floor bit dusty. Kitchen small, equipment lack of but ok. No microwave. Very clean bedding, towells, bathroom. Weird shower. Need a degree to work out the safe but got there in the end.
Good food in hotel, dinner downstairs restaurant - buffet style. Well worth the money, dinner for all three of us about

We just came back from Tenerife a week ago and the Ocean Beach was better than we expected. It's very clean, had a front area reception with helpful staff, nice reps.
Our room was on the 6th floor (recommend you request a floor over the 4th floor with a balcony) as the main level is on the 4th floor and rooms are beneath lower level. We had a room overlooking the pool and the sea. Large spacious one bedroom apartment. There were 3 of us and it was just enough space.
The apartment was cleaned daily and fresh towels. We brought our own travel tea kettle and travel iron as you have to rent them. There is a safe in the bedroom which you can rent for the week for a fee recommend that.
The pool area was lovely, it had a pool bar for drinks, nice music played at the poolside. There was another area for eating outside beside the pool and served like burgers and chips, toasted sandwiches etc. There is a supermarket right next door. Fridge in the apartment so we brought some drinks and food back.
The hotel is within walking distance to bars and restaurants. It was April so the pubs were quiet, but a short 5 minute taxi ride down to "Veronicas" had a bit more action. Lively pubs. Nice outdoor restaurants (we had Elvis sing to us one night at dinner). Lots of pubs have entertainment (Robbie Williams tribute, Rod Stewart etc). Nice American pub called "Harleys" within walking distance of hotel similar to Bennigans in USA nice food.
Beach was 5 mins walk however it's down a steep hill and they are all tiled so it gets slippy if you have flat shoes. Waterpark across the motorway but we didn

The Ocean beach is fantastic, we love it so much we have been for the past 6 Years running some times twice a year, as we are this year.
The hotel staff could do with some customer service training, but the reps are helpful when you can find them.

We stayed at the Ocean Beach Hotel in Tenerife, we've being going there for the past 3 years & as a family of 4 we love it.
Hotel cleanliness has dropped standard a little.
Hotel food was very good,& location was excellent, 5 mins up the hill one had the Aqua park also equally the same distance was the sky park,& the beach.
Hotel staff are always very friendly, ie Anna, Ruth also the bar staff Nacho & Martin.
Hotel entertainment has always being good at this hotel, we were very lucky first time round to have a guy called James who has now returned back to the UK but we still keep in touch. Now we are equally as lucky to have a guy called Craig who plays lots of different games & quizzes & also keeps the kids involved. His wife Charlene runs the kids club, they are a very good team together & we've become very good friends.
