Our initial impression upon arriving at the hotel was not great. The exterior of the hotel is a rather 70s green and thus straightaway gives a v dated look and then the receptionist was not very friendly at all- rather abrupt and not at all welcoming- which is what you hope for after travelling for hours with 2 kids and a ton of luggage. We were on floor 7 and had a pool-side/ocean view. There were 2 lifts which worked most of the time- 1 broke down a couple of times but was promptly fixed so no probs there. We had an apartment so we had a separate bedroom and lounge. We had to request a cot for our son as it wasn't initially in the room despite having listed an infant on our booking. The cot was fine although resembled more of a romanian orphanage cot than your usual hotel style cot. Still- that's just picking because it was comfy for our son and clean so not a real prob. We also requested a bed for our daughter but all that was provided was a v low hard bed on rollers that pulled out from under the sofa, so she would have been sleeping on her own in the living room on a hard bed while we had twin beds with the cot in the bedroom. Not a good set up at all so we all ended sleeping in the same room- 3 across 2 twin beds which did not make for restful sleep!
The rooms were v. clean and were cleaned regularly- about 5 times a week- changing towels, cleaning floor, making beds, etc. and occasionally replacing loo roll. My other half had to take a roll from the loo near reception at one point as we ran out- and not because of using too much!
We paid

The rooms dont have air conditioning but i found that we didn't need it, when you have the balcony doors open and or the bedroom windows there is a lovely breeze i advise to shut them when you go to bed but even then the rooms are fine but we did go in may so dont know what it will be like in later months.
The staff are pleasant but some could not understand english very well as they were all spanish, but got there in the end.
We had a rep come to the hotel almost everyday so any problems you could go and see her, also if you want to book any excursions you can do it through her, you can go down the road where it will be cheaper but i reccamend doing it through the rep.
There's a great area for sunbathing but it will cost to use matresses and parasols everyday, not a lot, there is a choice of 3 pools 1 for the children and 2 for the adults one is slightly deeper, it is cold at first when you get in but you soon get use to it.
I found the food wasn't that great alright if you like fish but not if your a veggie (im not but i am a fussy eater) they always have a range of bread and rolls, chips, fruit and ice cream. Breakfast was the best meal if you can make it down in time (shuts at 10) with a full english or cereals, toast, fruit, a range of sliced meats (very strange for breakfast).
we only missed a couple of times we needed that lay in. They also dont label there food so it's a kind of guess work but you can ask the staff and they will tell you.
The entertainment wasn't bad unfortunatly if you stay for 2 weeks it will be the same as the first, we had parrot, snake and birds of prey shows (on different nights), a quiz which was fun but alot of the questions are based in the 80's, thank god for my partner, the shows dont actually start untill 10 o clock.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday would reccamend to others but be warned for family's they dont have a kids club.only a 5 minute walk to the beach too.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly, the food is of a good standard and they have plenty of choice for fussy eaters. Within our party we had two children (2 years and 5 years.) also four of us are vegetarians and one very fussy eater.
The hotel although classed as in Playa De Las America, is actually in Adeje a much quieter resort within easy reach of Playa De as America.
The hotel is within 5 minutes walk of the beach and also 15 minutes walk to the Aqua park, it is very well located.
The pools are great and the childs pool is perfect, you do have to pay for the parasols and mattresses for the loungers, but they are only 1.50 euros per day, which is under half what you pay on the beach or at the aqua park.
The hotel was only about a third full so our view of it may not reflect upon peak season, but it was hot enough (28 or 29) and Tenerife gets into the forties in July and August.
As a family it represented fantastic value for money and we would certainly return.

all inclusive but here you paid extra for parasols and mattresses, there was no shade at all so you had
no alternative but to purchase parasols or get sunstroke. The food was very basic and not much of a
choice. If you wanted wine with your meal you had a very long wait at the bar or you didnt bother. Having stayed all inclusive twice before in this resort at other hotels this was by far the worst....

When we arrived our room wasn't ready. but as it as not the middle of the night it wasn't a problem. We asked how long it would be. The receptionist phoned a few numbers then disappeared, we assumed to check, but after waiting some 20mins the second receptionist, who was wonderful, apologised and sorted things, explaining that the room would be approx 45mins and then gave us our "all incl" band, so we could go for lunch.
The food was fairly good. We enjoy salads and fruit, but because the hotel was quiet, the hot food wasn't being replaced regularly enough, and so was usually a bit cold. A microwave would definately have been useful.
The table cloths needed changing more regularly though, as we sat at the same table for a number of meals and the cloth was never changed.
The bar staff were helpful and you could have a laugh with quite a few of them, although we did hear a few comments about children going to the pool bar "too often" for drinks and snacks.
Our room was cleaned every day barr one, the day before we travelled home - ie bed made and the towels were changed at least once, if not twice during our week.
Rooms were basic, but clean and it was lovely to have a fridge for a cold drink during the night.
We only paid just over

This is the second time we have stayed here and we have always had a great holiday.
The staff are very helpful and pleasant, the rooms are really big and the maids come round daily for cleaning and clean towels.
We have 2 children aged 3 and 12 and both really enjoyed the entertainment which is typical hotel shows and mini disco for the younger ones.the adults enjoyed the late night disco too!!!!
The only thing that let the hotel down slightly was the choice of food. The poolbar snacks were great, the main buffet food was good but lacking in choice, seemed to be very similar every day.
Apart from that we loved it and will be returning next year.

Breakfast was lovely but lack of choice for dinner an evening meal, thats the only thing that let this hotel down,..the kids enjoyed the snack bar better..clean bedding every day and towels etc.
we stayed in a studio but prefered a pool view room (we stayed here in 2005 as well)entertainment was really good Jesus(Joseph) really does a good job and my boys would give him ten out of ten hes lovely. Hes good at the mini diso and the kareoke after 11. We had a good laugh and met lovely people.
We are all meeting back up for this year(2008)..bingo is good we kept winning..good for all ages

We were told where our rooms were however we did not realise that we were going to be outside of the actual building and in a completely different part altogether which at night was not lit up and was rather scarey to walk down alone.
The rooms were cleaned daily which we are grateful for. Clean towels every day too.
Food was basic nothing exciting. Same things most nights. breakfast was the best meal of the day "full english" is what we had and was very much enjoyed. Snacks during the day were awful tasted like plastic.
I must comment on how amazing the love on the beach cocktails were on an evening the best ever and I sure got a little tipsy with them. The bar staff (men staff) were miserable and aggresive towards each other.
The "mini disco" was the most annoying thing about the holiday aswell as the bingo of course. The pool was freezing and we never got a chance to go in it which I was gutted about. But the weather was amazing and we all got a lovely tan.
I would go back here but not all inc as I don't feel I got enough for the amount I paid. We also had troubles with our key card which the receptionist tried to tell me was my fault however an engineer soon came out (three times) to fix the door.
Also one night we had ants running around the table we were sat at for food makes me itchy just thinking about it now.
