We have just returned from our one week stay at the Caledonia Park. (4 Lads 18 Years old) Where to start, after looking at web sites similar to this we were wondering what we were letting ourselves in for. We paid a moderate price for this holiday on a late deal basis, when we arrived to the hotel the outside isn

there isn't much to say about this hotel that is good. the food is constantly the same every day, chips and stuffing being two frequent foods on offer. the entertainment in the eveing is awful, it's mainly based around children and has a tendency of repeating the same songs. e.g cha cha slide and 5, 6, 7, 8 by steps! the entertainment during the day is slightly better but is mainly "killer pool" and "killer darts" so there isnt much variety. the rooms are very mimialistic and to put it nicely are falling apart. cockroaches are a very big problem and are found everywhere and anywhere you go in the resort. also people who have walking difficulties of any sort will be very unhappy as there are so many steps and hilly surroundings to climb. also there is a bridge you have to climb to get to the beach which is very hard to get across considering the very busy roads with cars that are not willing to stop. although one good thing is the waterpark is directly opposite the hotel and is in good walking distance.

we have just come back from caledonia park on firday, we stayed here 5 years ago it was a very nice hotel then, the hotel is now very basic i wouldnt rate it at 3 star, the room we had was very shabby, mould on bathroom ceiling, rust around the bath taps and bath, there was a hole in the bedroom door, the lights fell of on to the sideboard all the time in the bedroom, plug sockets were loose, cracks up the walls an ceilings, the beds were dirty and stained, the front door only needed a mild kick and it would have been in. this was room 634. the only good thing it was quiet there in the nights and we overlooked the water park, we could see all of the dolphin shows . i wouldnt go back to this hotel again, we were booked to go back to tenerife in december, but we changed it as soon as we got home as we do not wish to go here ever again. the resort it self it dirty, no atmosphere at allo this year, most of the bars were empty even though it was peak season, and a lot of the good acts have left the island, eg : celine dion, meat loaf and cher, neil diamond there are acts tying to do these people, but they are not very good. there are a few acts left which are good, martin rod stewart {brilliant} the blues bros, v good, katey kennardy,{brilliant} you can see these acts in the drop inn bar or amandas, they also show acts in the toucan bar but that was shut this time. the best chinese on the island is at porto colo habour las americas called the slow boat, down past veronicas is a place called the little italy outstanding meal there also.

The Hotel was clean but a bit far away from all the night life. Rooms were very hot and had no Air Conditioning so we had to rent a Room Fan for the two weeks we were there.

I found the meals okay but my children who are quite fussy eaters lived on pizza, hotdogs and chips. We did go out 3 or 4 nights to eat at the Chinese Restaurants near the Harbour we can certainly recommend them 5 Euros for all you can eat.

I will say though we met up with loads of people from Burnley, Pontypridd, London and Scotland which made our holiday very enjoyable.

I would certainly go back to Playa de las Americas but to a different Hotel.

The only real downside to the Canaries is the Cockroaches. Although we never had any in our room during our stay.

I didn't mind this hotel at all. The only disapointing thing about it was the food. We was half board & the food was the same every night. The hotel was very clean though. Maids came in every day. Hotel staff were very friendly & could speak really good English which helped alot. The hotel location was about a 15 minute walk to the main part of Las Americas which we walked every night & then got a taxi back which only cost about 3 euros. The hotel rooms were massive, very spacious. All in all I would say this hotel is a nice place to stay in. It is located in a very clean area with lovely bars & resturants. I would go back this hotel self catering.

We have just returned from staying at this hotel recently. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, even the pool area is swept frequently during the day. The food can get very repetative (stuffing being the highlight on the menu) some days vey good, some days were bad. The snacks at the pool area are very poor (hot dogs, sausage, pizza which is very oily and chips) ice cream is served in a plastic cup. The location of the hotel is very poor as you have to cross a very narrow pavemented bridge. There is a steep, very, very slippy incline over the bridge. I would highly recommend a very good pair of trainers. The hotel is very near to the Aqua Park and Sky park which is a good thing because you can go to the water park, come back for dinner and then go back again. The hotel staff on the whole were very friendly and helpful. The entertainment I felt was quite poor and very very loud. If you are allocated room 118 and you want an early night, forget it, the speaker is right outside the bedroom window. The rooms in the hotel are not too bad, bareable. I would recommend you hire a fan because the rooms can get very hot at night. The showers are very poor and the bathrooms need to be revamped. Don't expect a hot shower if you're the last one in because you won't get one. On the whole we made the most of it and had a very good, enjoyable holiday.

Got the holiday of the teletext, so I suppose some may say, our fault for not checking first but can honestly say that having been to Tenerife a few times this is the worst we have stayed in.

From the front it looks nice but our room was towards he rear out of site, there was no proper locks on the room. The room itself was disgusting and filthy, when we tried to complain the staff were very off with us. The main lounge area was filthy with rubbish everywhere. We were lucky enough to get out of the hotel the next day and book into a lovely hotel further up the resort but I feel sorry for those who had to put up with it.

The only night we did stay we didn

this hotel was awful. Its in a main road with cafes and shops underneath. The smell of cooking fat was thefirst thing that hit me when I walked in. It was dull, could use a lick of paint and the rooms were dire. Our small room had a crack across the tile floor from one side to the other with bits chipped out so bare feet was a no-no. The upstairs door lock was held closed with a ballpoint pen! The room overlooked locals homes or the television masts! The swim pool was small with an extremely small sunbathing area. Oh and white concrete gnomes roung the minute kiddies pool. We arrived 4.30pm and asked for food menu to be told no food was served until dining room opened at 6.45pm. This was suspose to be all inclusive! After a terrible smelly(the chip pan fat), noisy(the cars on main road and the locals) night we left and paid extra to stay in another hotel! I would rate this hotel pushing 2*star!!!
