Location
The food was ok, could do with more vegetables and it was not always hot enough.
The drinks were reasonably priced and service was excellent.
Would recomend the trips to avertura, crocodiles and marina.
Would definately go again.

Food was great and if people say there was nothing for kids then they have fussy kids! The menu was repeated each week but there were small changes so if you were there for 2 weeks it was still varied.
The down side was getting burgled half way through the holiday, there were 2 rooms broken into while we were there and someone had a bag taken from reception.
Reporting the theft to police took all day, as you must go through Madrid and speak to an English interpreter, there was only 2 on duty for the whole of spain. (normally 3) Hotel let us change room no fuss.
If you have a late flight home it will cost 25 euros to keep your room til 6pm

We also found the air-con very poor in our rooms, so did plenty of sweating for 2 weeks.
I thought the food was lush. Even my fussy 3-year-old ate something as there was always pasta, rice, chips, ice-cream etc. We were very disappointed that you do not get anything to drink with your dinner. You have to buy it from the bar!
The hotel location was fairly central. The view from our room on the 8th floor was breath-taking!

The food was nice for adults, but there wasn't much for kids at all.
Entertainment was good.
Overall, the price of the holiday did not match up to the quality of the hotel, so we will not be returning to the Bali.

The food was good for adults not much of a selection for kids I have to say.
The location was alright except for cardiac hill was a bit big.
The staff was very friendly indeed when we arrived the phone rang to make sure we were alright.
Entertainment was good.
If I were to visit the Bali again it would be apartments.

The room in block 2 was a bit small and basic but it had been recently re-decorated and met our needs for a week in the sun.
The hotel is one of the largest in the resort, the reception area was bright and tidy with sofa's dotted around for seating. There are also a couple of lounges with sofa's but we never seen anybody in them. A typical 3 star hotel with a mixture of families, couples.
We never had any problems with the food it was well presented and plentiful. If you had kids who were fussy eaters you might have a problem but there was plenty of chips and bread.
The hotel has 3 pools, one beside the main bar area this one was popular with families as it had the pool bar/snack bar and entertainment so space around it was at a premium. The second pool has plenty of space around it for lying in the sun, no music and suited us far better there was also a kiosk selling drinks and ice cream. Below it there was a kids pool surrounded by grass. There were plenty of sunbeds around however the stampede started at around 07.45 with the scramble for position and the "precious ones" canvas beds and sunshades. There were still plastic beds available at 10.00am if you looked.
The staff were pleasant and worked hard at keeping the place clean and tidy.
If you had an early trip continental breakfast was available if you let them know at the desk.
A courtesy room is also available on departure if your leaving later, it had towels and was real handy for a quick shower before pick up.
We never stayed in for the entertainment so it would be unfair to comment on it.
On the whole a typical Brit holiday hotel which can be a busy or quiet as you want it to be. Would consider it again.

The location was quite central although the hill was hard work, especially pushing a 3 year old in a buggy!
The kids reps: Kerry, Shosh & Hayley were great and my children thoroughly enjoyed the clubs - just one point to note though - when I booked I asked if my children would be in kids clubs at the same time because I noted from the brochure that they were in 2 different age groups and the man at Portland actually went away and checked with his supervisor and said they would be. I was obviously shocked when I arrived at the hotel to find that the 3-5 age group was from 11am-1pm and the 6-8 age group was from 2-4pm although the reps were very accommodating. After all, my idea of kids clubs is to have child free time albeit for 2 hours a day 5 days a week!
There are two large swimming pools which each had childrens pools although the swimming pool on -1 level was a bit strange as they had a childrens pool down a flight of steps - so if you had more than 1 child and 1 wanted to go in the large pool and 1 in the small pool this was a problem as they were on different levels - although the large swimming pool on level 2 had a childrens pool right next to it.
The entertainment was ok although this is the only hotel I've stayed in where the mini disco songs were played in exactly the same order and the same songs every night - only the kids game was different - it did get a little boring!
I would visit this hotel again if I wanted a value for money holiday.
