After just returning from the Bali, just thought we'd mention what a lovely time we had. The hotel was extremely clean, friendly and the food was lovely (especially the ice creams after dinner for the kids)!

Drinks in the bar were reasonably priced,and plently of friendly bars nearby.

As for location, we thought it was perfect, based between the marina and the park, a must to visit both.

The entertainment was more geared for the elder generation as in the winter the guests are more that age than ours i would guess, but they did try in the daytime to get folk joining in with mini-golf, shooting,etc.

All in all,for the price we paid, I would definitely recommend it.

Rooms very good but very basic, rooms cleaned daily, towel changed every day.

Food was good lots to choose from,drink reasonable priced. The hill was steep, but there was other way down to the promenade which was not so steep.

Lots of restaurants and bars on the promenade. Thomson staff was very good. One would go back to this hotel!

Great Hotel, Enterainment for the Kids was spot on.

Booked this hotel as a last minute and could not have asked for more.

Really enjoyed it and the pool areas were great for my little girl.

The park is a must do, along with the train up to the cable cars.

Been to the Bali Five times in all.

We have had nothing less than a great holiday on each of our visits. We usually see at least one family who have returned for yet another great holiday.

Both Med and Playa buildings are comfortable although we prefer the Med as it has been fully refurbished.

ALL staff at the Bali are very friendly and helpful. Antonio, Paco, Juan, Cecilio and , up to last year, Constantino are more than capable bar staff who will happilly pass the time of day with guests. Happy hour is on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday when ALL drinks are two for one including tea and coffee!!

Thomson Reps are fine. Natalie the senior Rep runs a tight ship. Never been pestered to buy trips by any of them.

The choice and quality of food in the restaurant is excellent. It is also run like clockwork. Maybe in high season you will have to queue but it is worth the wait.

A couple of things I don't like: First is the ratio of parasols to beds at pool side. There are more than enough beds but parasols are sadly lacking. Thus I had to rise at "stupid o'clock" in order to make sure we had one for our baby. (And NO - We weren't one of the selfish people who claim a bed then don't use it!!)

Second is the lifts in the Med building. Slmall and sometimes unreliable. Pain in the bum when you have a room on the 7th (top) floor (which we always ask for as the views are fantastic)

Entertainment is first class given the facilities.
During our stays at Bali the Spanis Animacion team was run by the wonderful Olga and Fernando. They have been ably assisted by other enthusiastic staff. They are on site from 10am to be in charge of the Archery, Pistol/Rifle shooting etc and yet still put on a full evenings entertainment.Consequently they can be at Bali from 10am to 1am. Yet ALWAYS they smile :)

Sadly Olga no longer works at Bali and Fernando now works on reception at the Hotel. A sad loss for guests old and new.

We have tried to book a half term holiday in May 2008 but the half board option has already sold out. This is a reflection on the standard of this excellent FAMILY hotel.

Studios very clean and modern looking, lovely views from the higher floors. More wardrobe space here than in hotel rooms, and the bonus of fridge for drinks.

Kitchen equipment basic, enough to make a sandwich and breakfast.

Bed in upstairs part large and comfortable, however, the pull out beds (supposedly for adults?) very uncomfortable, the mattress is about 2 inches thick.

Plenty of eating places in resort, the best one at bonanza square, Bittos - always good food and service C J the waiter very pleasant.

Entertainment team excellent as always.

Booked again for next year.

Just arrived back from the Bali Hotel in Benalmadena, had a fantastic holiday. The hotel room was a bit shabby but very clean and spacious considering there were four of us in there.

Food was fantastic, we had an 8 and 9 year old with us and they found something for dinner every night. The breakfast was the same every morning but loads of choice and could be varied each day.

Very central to most things, bonanza square, the beach, paloma park and the marina, all with in 5 minutes stroll. Cardiac Hill not so scary after all.

All staff very friendly and able to speak good english but they seemed extra happy if you attempted a bit of spanish (even if it was just a please and thank you. Thomson kidzone staff all great with the kids. The hotel entertainment staff were second to none and great with the kids, I wouldnt like to hazard a guess at how many hours per week they put in!!!

The hotel entertainment was very varied with mini disco for the kids and good shows after,wich the hotel entertainment staff performed.

Just returned from Hotel Bali and had a great time.
The hotel staff/maids etc were exceptional, cleaned the rooms every day and even returned later if not convenient.

The rooms were basic but the cleanliness made up for that.
The food was excellent on the whole although the choices a little poor for children if you had fussy eaters.

The down side to this hotel is that it was virtually impossible to get a sunbed or umbrella unless you got up a 6am (like people did!!)and this would probably deter us from visiting this hotel again.

The hotel entertainment team worked very hard and this hotel was excellent for children of all ages.

I stayed in block 2 which is still to be refurbished. It was however spotlessly clean. Excellent shower. Maid left clean towels everyday. Safe was available to hire for 2 euros per day.

Reception staff speak good english. Service from Thompson staff was good but they mainly try to sell you their expensive excursions at the welcome meeting. They are regularly available at reception if you have any queries on anything and have good local knowledge. The animation team and kids club team are the hardest working I have seen and although the entertainment was not my taste I have to give them full marks for the effort put in.

The menu varied on a daily basis in the restaurant and included a few items suitable for vegetarians. It is certainly easy to put on weight while staying here!!! If you are going on an early trip you can order an early breakfast. Also when we arrived at the hotel at around 10 pm a light supper had been prepared for us.

Hotel location was excellent - the hill is really very small. If you walk straight down you will come to the beach and can walk along to the marina. There is also a bus stop at the bottom of the hill. You can go to fuengirola, mijas and tivoli world from here.

We stayed at the Bali Hotel in Benaldmadena.

The food was more than we expected.Very good.The cleanliness was great,even the stairway.

The hill is a pain in the rearend but the air-con when you arrive in the reception is heaven.And the staff and entertainment are more than helpfull and work very hard to keep everyone happy.Only one problem,the lifts dont seem big enough for the amount of people and luggage. We even got trapped in one for about 15 minutes.It was a little scarry and very hot.

The children were very well catered for.

To be honest we couldn`t complain about anything.

The hotel was very clean with maid service and fresh towels daily.

the food was fantastic with somthing on offer for everyone, even my fussy 7 year old was spoilt for choice.the hotel puts on a gala dinner once a week with a free glass of champayne for everyone and a flower for the ladies.

The hotel is within easy acces to the beach and shops although cardiac hill is a killer you'll have buns of steel after a fortnight of walking up it.

The bar staff were very friendly and the kids entertaineres were good. the entertainment was a bit dull but I think this was due to the fact that you stuggled to see anything as the room was filled with polesthat resticted your view.

I'd visit this hotel again and wuld definatly recommend it to familys.
