If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

The resort was very good, plenty of bars and eating places. If you go to bonanza square, there is a lovely chinese.

The beach was well laid out, very clean and you could hire sun beds for 5 euros for the day.

We have been to Benalmadena & will be going back again.

Not a lot really I can say about Benalmadena, we have been used to going to places which have great evening entertainment, unfortunately Benalmadena didn't.

The only place we found which had evening entertainment was Buzby's which was quite good, but other than that evening entertainment was non existent, we spent most evening in the hotel, as entertainment there was better, and that is something we never ever do.

I think this resort is better suited to the over 60's. Also expensive! I can't believe how much we spent on food and drink,(and I can promise you we are not skin flints who expect a pint for a euro, and a breakfast for a couple of euros!!!), but the prices were unbelievable, much more expensive than anywhere I have been, and we have travelled to a number of destinations.

The beach and promanade are nice and clean. The lucky lucky men are a pain in the butt, we were sat having a meal, and during that time, we must have been approached by at least 20 of them, (I kid you not!!),

The marina is very nice. Unfortunately I cannot recommend one nice restaurant, they were all just about average, nothing special,(Whether we were looking in wrong place, or not), oops I do tell a lie, we found one nice place as we were walking along to the marina called Sharvilles (there are four restaurants next to one another, it's next to Potters), the meal was lovely, the only downside was we had to wait well over an hour for our food!!

Unfortunately, as lovely as our hotel was, I would not go to Benalmadena again.

The resort itself is spotless, we saw no litter anywhere. Ladies be careful in your high heels or sandals the pavements are very slippy, I had a couple of near misses, and I hadnt even had a drink!

The resort entertainment was not our cup of tea, the bars and restaurants were plentiful, however non played any music, it was nice on odd occasions to sit and chat in the bars up at Bonanza square, however the kids soon got bored. There were a few clubs which had music, on but all indoors, the best one we found was the Montecarlo opposite Bonanza square, which had good entertainment on, and something for the kids.

The marina is worth a visit, the boats are awesome, and the moorish style apartments are beautiful, lots of shops and rides for the children. The gibralter trip is a must, and the apes are fantastic, but book over the road from the Bali we all went for the price of one with Thomsons.

Tivoli World is great the wristbands, which give you unlimited rides at 10e are worth getting, rather than the vouchers at 1e each as most of the rides are between 2 and 3e a go. Selwo Marina is also very good, the dolphin show is suberb.

We enjoyed this holiday, and would return if the entertainment outside the hotel improved.

Found the resort clean and tidy, maybe due to it being surprisingly quiet when we were there. Never had any problems getting 2 sun-beds and a parasol on the beach (8 euros) Can't really comment on resort entertainment as we tend to enjoy evening strolls along the promenade rather than bars etc.
Marina is worth a visit in the evenings, very pleasant with a good range of shops and restaurants.

Resort was generally grubby and dirty. English food everywhere - chips galore, chinese and indian takeaways. Not up to normal Spanish standards. Would definitely not go there again.

Can not understand anyone saying Benalmadena is expensive or dirty really enjoyed our two weeks there.

We were self-catering and found eating out inexpensive drunken sailor on front well worth trying breakfast and sunday dinner very nice, plenty of nice bars to choose from beesknees for a laugh with the host and for sports green un sports bar cant be beat.

We felt the hotel was very remote, you need a car to get anywhere, there is a very busy main road which you have to walk along to get anywhere. There is a subway from the hotel to the beach. Our studio seemed to be one of the furthest away from any amenities, too far to walk uphill to the nearest pool. We didn't bother trying the on-site restaurants as they all seemed to be serving the same thing so we used the handy bus service which runs into Fuengirola and back, the only drawback is that the last bus back is 8pm from town so we had to eat early.

Loads of restaurants in Fuengirola, catering for all requirements. There is a tourist train which runs round the town from the seafront.

Spain was experiencing very high temperatures when we were there, in fact we did see the forest fires on the way to Gibralter.

The trip to Gibralter was well worth doing, although the actual trip up onto 'the rock' itself seemed a bit of a waste of money. We did see the Apes which were out to steal anything and everything so beware - they are super-quick! The town square in Gibralter was very nice indeed. The dolphin watching trip was fantastic and lasted 90 minutes which was just long enough, plenty of dolphins to be seen.

The Beach seemed quite pleasant, quite a few locals using it which is always a good sign.

We were disappointed with the area around to the hotel but we loved Gibralter and would go there again.

Watch out for usual scratchcard touts who promise you all good things, just remember, you don't get anything for nothing!
