The hotel is excellent. Extremely clean and modern and the rooms were spacious with plenty of hanging space and coat hangers provided. To have a separate kitchen, lounge and bedroom was particularly nice. We didnt expect it. The kitchen was fully equipped with hob, fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave. The fridge was replenished every day with small bottles of water and juice.

The maids cleaned the room to a very high standard. the staff were extremely friendly, without being overbearing. they were always ready with a smile and to ask you how you were without sounding patronising and if it were just part of their job.

I did have a good time at the Holiday Village but dont think I would go back again.

The hotel itself and the pool areas/beach club were lovely. Very modern and clean and the beach club especially was fantastic for the kids. The rooms were very spacious and well decorated with a great little kitchen with fridge, crockery, cooker etc. The maids did a great job in keeping the rooms clean.

The food however, was not really up to 4 star standards and although it was ok, did get a bit repetitive as it was mainly the same dishes for each mealtime. I tried the mexican restaurant and it was very nice and the service was good. I didnt get a chance to try the Italian as they were fully booked for the last 3 days of our holiday so I'd advise getting your bookings in early on in the holiday. I'd assumed you could only book the day you wanted to go but that wasnt the case.

The staff in the main buffet restaurants were pretty rude and not very attentive. It was only May and certainly not to full capacity but they seemed too busy to make sure you had teaspoons, teacups, cutlery etc on your table and if you asked for something they looked harassed and annoyed. One waitress actually snatched the wine menu from me before I had a chance to read it and shouted 'drinks?' at me!! The hot choc from the hot drinks machine never worked the whole time I was there, and you usually got a stressed look if you asked for a 2nd cup of tea at breakfast! The bar staff werent much better but the staff at the beach club bars were very nice and much more helpful.

The entertainment was not to my taste,as I dont particularly like playing bingo on holiday but it seemed a lot of others enjoyed it. The daily prizes of around 300 Euros was not bad though. The shows(?!!) put on by the entertainment team were hilarious but not in the way they'd probably hoped! They were nice enough and tried hard but it was really just like watching a group of students enjoying a night out together rather than a professional entertaiment team. The room that the entertainment was in was dark and dreary but in high season when it will be outside should be much better.

The location of the hotel was in between Benalmadena and Fuengarola so you really needed to get buses or taxis anywhere but it wasnt too much of a problem as you could usually get a taxi immediately from outside the gate or the bus stop was just outside the hotel and came around every half an hour.

The hotel was starting to get pretty busy with schoolkids just as I left and I imagine could become a bit crazy in high season with kids left running around all evening by parents trying to make full use of the all inclusive drinks. You do have to expect that with a family hotel such as this but sometimes gets a bit much with the bigger kids taking over the toddlers pools with inflatables and balls and with no parents around to keep them in check.

All in all, I did have a good time and the hotel was beautiful but would not go back to a holiday village in a hurry as the food and the service let it down.

Our room had a fantastic view over the pool, sea and across the bay and was very clean. The pools are fab (although those over in the beach club are freezing). The only down side is the kids are not allowed any inflatables other than in the paddling pool and are not allowed to even play with a ball in the pools at the beach club.

However, due to the excessive prices for food and drinks charged by the hotel we didn't have a very good holiday. We payed 39Euros (

Just returned from Holiday Village first sight of the inside of the hotel very impressive. Rooms are lovely but outside feels abit like a concrete jungle.

Tthe location is between a railway and a busy road no access to a beach went by bus to Fuengirola becareful on the return journey from the terminus. Spanish people in this area very rude I was squashed by two men and am still suffering with bruised ribs, it was terrifying don't make me laugh.

Hotel inside tip top but outside left a bit to be desired the stairway we used from our room was never cleaned and was filthy and the cane furniture was very sticky. The tubs around the pool were full of weeds and some of the palms were still not unwrapped there was no attention to detail and this beginning of the season.

Dining room in centre of hotel feels a bit claustrophobic and you were told were to sit so everyone was grouped together. Food was not up to 4 star and if you arrived late things were already being cleared away.

Enjoyed the weather but will not return.

We have just returned from our week holiday at the Holiday Village and glad to be back.

Location we knew before we went but didn't realise just how far out we were I don't know how the people on self catering survived. We had a walk out one morning it took us 1.5 hrs before we hit anything and we was no where near the centre.

The food was a very poor standard for 4* we ate in the marina on a few occasions spending 100 euros a time as food was that bad!!

Entertainment staff very trying.

The hotel itself was lovely and excellent for kids never saw our 11yr old he went on the football course they have it was well worth the money.

If you like a drink and a total relax and love chips ice and chicken then this is the holiday for you !!

Complex very impressive. Rooms large & very clean.

We booked self catering but quickly realised it would be very expensive to pay as you go on-site so upgraded to all inclusive. This was quite expensive but slightly cheaper than self-catering & paying for all meals separate. The hotel food was ok, about a 3star standard on previous experience. Couldn't do 2wks as very repetitive and not very well labelled. My kids ate the same things for the whole week.

We knew about the location and travelled out on the bus 1 day into Torremolinos which was easy enough and cheap. May get on your nerves if staying for 2wks.

Hotel staff were good, very polite. We were missing towels one day and they rang the next day to make sure we had them ok.

I thought the entertainment team were fantastic, we had a comedy hypnotist, a magician & a fantastic singer for 3 nights and the resident team of entertainers for the rest of the week. Could easily have watched them for 2wks solid.

Kids clubs were ok but my kids only attended a couple of times as there were other activities going on all over the complex which they preferred. Archery, remote cars, water scooters etc.

The other thing I thought were really good were the lifeguards. They were on duty until 6pm and whilst they are no substitute for parent supervision, it was reassuring to know that they were there. They didn't take their eyes off the pools at all and quickly went in if anyone was getting out of their depth.

Would I visit this hotel again? Yes but only for a week on a last minute cheaper holiday as I know what I'm getting. Wouldn't be able to stay for 2wks due to location and food quality.

Got home yesterday and would maybe return. Hotel itself is well maintained, clean and spacious, although I don't think the floors or balcony of our room were mopped once in 2 wks. Rooms are lovely, although you cannot lock them to stop small children escaping if they so wished, and the floors get very very slippey when wet (maybe why they weren't mopped...).

The location was as described in brochure - too far to walk to anywhere, and I would not attempt to take a child younger than about 6 on the very overcrowded buses, but taxis were only 12 euros into Fuengirola, and usually available near the main gate.

The Kids clubs were OK, they did a lot of colouring-in and drawing which suited my girls, but may not keep boys so enthralled. There is a ball pit/climbing frame in the Bugs Clubroom which was only used in one session during the fortnight - a bit of a waste. Wavelength for older kids did look fun. Evening entertainment was repetitive, but this meant the children got to know all the songs really well and properly join in - just a groan for the adults. Kids hour only ususally lasted 35-40 minutes with constant interuptions to plug the bingo ticket sales.

Food - 3* would be fairer. A lot of fish dishes, and not labelled adequately. Children lived on hot dogs & chips. Breakfasts good, although on one day my 4 year old had to eat coco pops with a fork because there were no spoons anywhere. Supermarket very overpriced.

Beach club facilities excellent, pools lovely, lifeguards on duty reassuring. Swim Kids sessions well worthwhile.

Groups of young teenagers a bit of a nuisance a couple of nights, but as the hotel so safe I think some parents neglected adequate supervision.

Overall a good holiday - happy kids so relaxed parents.

We have been visiting this hotel every year since it opened so this was our 3rd visit and probably our last as there have been changes not for the better.

The hotel is still looks impressive and seemed fairly well maintained, the pools and beach club are wonderful for the kids. Ours spent alot of time in the kids pool with their inflatables and the water jets at the beach club.

Rooms are still comfortable and fairly well equipped although there was no brush & dustpan and basic cleaning things as there was last year. I was very dissappointed with the cleaning of our room this time. The balcony certainly only got swept once in the 2 weeks so became quite dirty. The main part of the room got swept and mopped in a fashion but underneath the tables, chairs, etc never got cleaned and were thick with dust by the end. I complained to the reps who said they would ask the hotel to clean but it never happend. Last year you fell over people cleaning the hotel day and night now it appears it gets cleaned when necessary.

Food was a big let down this time. It was very repetitive and alot of things were not labelled. The choice and quality is far inferior to the last 2 years. We really struggled on several nights to find things for our 2 children to eat. The lunch time buffet at the beach club was almost the same everyday, possibly 2/3 things would change. The only choice of dessert was fruit or ice cream. Evening meals were a little better but again repetitive and their were several occassions when things were uncooked/raw in the middle. Desserts a little better but lacking in cakes and proper puds! We resorted to eating out several times to get something decent and propery cooked spending 70-80 Euros a time which defeats the object of All Inclusive. Getting your first drink was OK but trying to order subsequent drinks was a nightmare, you could never find the drinks waiters and they would not give you a drink at the bar without the waiters slip. Breakfast was disappointing if you with there from 9.45 onwards. Several occassions we had to have juice from plastic glasses, couldn't have cereals becuase there were no clean bowls and had to accost the waiters to get the cups as soon as they came out of the kitchen. They stop serving at 10.30am and they make this perfectly clear by turning out the lights and letting you finish your meal in the dark!

The All Inclusive snack bar/menu made me very cross this time. Towards the end of the first week they starting to cross things of the All Inclusive menu stating that they were too expensive. How they figure this out when you have already paid I fail to work out. You could have a jacket potatoe or a hamburger but if you wanted cheese on them it was too expensive and you had to pay 2 Euros. I noticed that by the end of our holiday several more items had been crossed off. I found staff at the outdoor snack bars rude and bad tempered, they insisted on 2 queues at lunchtimes but wound people up by serving from one most of the time. It took me in excess of 20 minutes to order 4 snacks and when it arrived it was less than appetising.

The kids clubs were great with a varied programme of things to do. The only problem is that the minimum intake for 1 session is 30. The hotel has in excess of 500 rooms so this is obviously very inadequate. My son queued for 30 minutes for the movie night only to be turned away - and then there is nothing else for them to do. The childrens "hour" where they do dancing/games etc lasts for less then 45 minutes and finishes at 8.45 for bingo. I think it would benefit from a longer evening activity for children. The kids reps were all really good. The E3 Production team that put on the evening entertainment were all quite good and some of the shows were enjoyable.

I complained to the First Choice reps a couple of times about certain things and these things failed to be resolved. The reps just do not seem to have the enthusiasm of previous years.

We still had a good family holiday as you have to make the most of it when you are there and the children enjoyed pools, activities etc, but I have to say that I do not think that this hotel deserves its 4 stars anymore. Everything seems to have fallen considerably in standard and it just was not value for money this time. I do not think we will go back and I don't think I would reccomend it to anyone.

Stayed at the Holiday Village. the food was fantastic and well worth the money. It is down as a four star but i would rate it as a 5.

Near the beach.

Very friendly staff and the room service ladies are dressed as nurses for some reason.

We had 5 people in our room but were only given 4 drinks in our fridge every morning.

Going to another holiday village next year, different location

Very clean hotel. Definatley recommend it.

We stayed here for a week AI at the end of April, the complex was very clean and the cleaners were always on call to mop up spills etc no matter what the time.

The food was excellent although I think it would have got a bit boring if we had been there for 2 weeks. Breakfast and Dinner were served in the main buffet restaurant and Lunch was served over at the Beach Club.We tried the Mexican and thought it very nice but can't comment on the Italian as we didn't eat there.

Snacks were available from the pool bar but seemed to be a bit hit and miss, lots of people were grumbling that burgers were included on AI but if you wanted a cheeseburger you had to pay for the slice of cheese!

They opened the Irish bar early one night so that you could watch the football but then proceeded to charge you for drinks even if you were on AI, this caught a few people out as you could easily have taken your drinks in with you from another bar. The next time the football was on they showed it in the cinema, it makes you wonder how they are going to deal with showing the World Cup.

All of the bars apart from the Irish were non smoking so that meant all the smokers were sat outside. Hubby is a smoker and this is the 1st time it's happened to us, a sign of things to come in this country I think!

We didn't watch much of the entertainment as the indoor entertainment room has to be the worst I have ever seen, only those sat in the middle of the room could see the stage the rest of us had to watch on big screens on either side and the quality of the screen wasn't good. There was no atmosphere and it just felt dreary. The entertainment team were good and all had excellent voices and I'm sure when they are outside it will be completely different.

We had a great time and would visit this hotel again
