Upon arrival found this to be exactly as we expected. Rooms were of an excellent standard, we had to have 2 rooms as the size of the party, so we had plenty of room. Balconies brill, donkey in morning not quite so brill, but hey you are on holiday so who cares!

Found the food to be ok!!! Not bad but not top rate. Chap in restaurant who found table for you, fab, could not have been friendlier. However, we were a party of 5 and every meal we had to wait, surely they must now realise there are families of 5 so would be worthwhile setting tables up for 5. Food was ok as said, but you do get bored. Kids ate well, but was pasta or chips for them, but plenty of cakes after dinner!

Pool and beach club was very clean. But really a probelm getting a sunbed. We thought we would be polite and not put towels on beds in morning, but in the end you have to. I got up during our second week just before 9am as they said you cannot put towels on before that, and I struggled to find any beds, so I think people got up at 6.00am!!!!!! however, once you got a bed you had a fab day by the pool, thats if no one pooed in it. Yes, at least 6 days out of 14 the hotel pool shut as some parents let kids in the pool without a swim nappy. Is it really that hard to put a nappy on your child. It is so wrong, and I wished I had found out who it was!!!!! However, beach club never seemed to have that problem. Lunch in the restarant there was very good, nice to have a break from the heat, and eat something other than chips.

Entertainment in the evenings was good, Julie, Luke, Amy you are excellent. Cannot fault them, but from the adults point of view, would be nice to escape to a bar within walking distance, but nothing in site. I found this to be a problem, just that bit out of the way.

Staff generally good, but the lady in the beach club bar, oh dear, she is never ever happy, and you do feel bad bothering her!!!!

In the main outside bar, excellent staff, but queing did get to be a bit of a problem towards to end of our second week.

Would we go back? Probably not, but only as we found it just a bit out of the way. Cannot fault hotel, so would recommend to families. But not couples.

We have just returned from the Holiday Village a few days ago and to be honest will not be returning unless the food is greatly improved, I will talk about this in more detail shortly.

This holiday was a replacement for another holiday we had booked through First Choice and was supposed to be of a higher * rating.

First of all I would like to say that the hotel itself is fantastic. The facilities on offer were very good for all ages.

The beach club is great for the kids. Plenty of pools that are nice and shallow for the little kids, with water jets for them to run through and big elephants which spray water - great fun. There is also a pirate ship with a slide - but be warned the water in that pool is quite deep for the little ones and it is freezing!

There was no problem getting sunbeds here at any time of the day to be honest!

The only thing that is disappointing is the fact that it is only drinks that are all inclusive over there - which we knew before we went anyway.

The lunch here is much of the same every day and to be honest all the food at the restuarants disappointed me greatly.

On a few occasions we had undercooked chicken and pork. The choice is pretty limited and there are no labels to let you know what it is. The kids buffet was a joke. If you came down after 7pm all that was ever left was crisps and rolls which doesn't constitute a meal in my opinion.

So if you can live off salad and chips for a week or two thats about your lot from the restuarant. The desserts seem to consist of ice-cream tubs, a mousse dish or chocolate wafer biscuits! We found we were better off going to the snack bar before we went up to the room for showers.

The snack bar served hamburgers, hot dogs, toasted sanwiches, chicken nuggets and chips for the kids etc which were included in the all inclusive.

They also served Jacket potatoes and wraps but they had to be paid for - oh and if you wanted a cheese slice on your hamburger you had to pay the price of a cheeseburger - total rip off!

On a positive note the in 2 action team were great and came round the main pool at the hotel inviting the kids to join in in activities such as treasure hunts and the sea scooters - which were good fun!

There didn't seem to be any problem getting a lounger there either - but don't know how this will be in height of season though!

The rooms were very comfortable and very well furnished. The bathrooms were huge and had a seperate shower cubicle and a over bath shower too.

The kitchenette was basic - they could have done with replaceing the kettle and toasters though as ours were a bit on the dodgy side.

The maids changed the towels regularly and made the beds every day but other than that I couln't see what else they did as the floor or balcony didn't seem like it had been cleaned the whole time we were there.

My kids enjoyed the kids clubs up until one evening when my middle son was turned away for being in nappies. I won't go into too much detail here but basically my son has special needs and all this was noted on our booking and we were assured it wouldn't be an issue and for the first 4 days it wasn't until this particular evening when a not very nice rep very abruptly refused him entry because of this. There reasoning being they apparently don't accept any children in nappies as they are not qualified to change them - understandable I said but this was not explained to us when we sat in the travel agents for an hour and a half while the manager phoned all the nessecary depts to check and was told that it was all fine! So I am now following this up with a complaint.

So just be warned if you have a 3yr old who still isn't completely toilet trained they won't accept them if they are still in nappies - even though none of the registration forms stated this either may I add!

Other than that one rep all the kids club reps were very friendly and the kids seemed to enjoy it while they were allowed to go.

The entertainment isn't west end kind of class but good for you average package holiday deal. The production team did work hard and after a few drinks anything is a laugh really!

All the hotel staff were friendly - no problems there at all.

The location is pretty poor approx 10euro in a taxi into Benalmadena or 1 euro on the bus. The buses are very busy so wouldn't recommend with a pushchair as you have to fold it down and ther are not racks to store it so you have to sit it on your knee if the bus is very busy.

We went to Tivoli world one evening. Not bad evening for younger kids. A little tip though don't get the tickets for Tivoli from the rep as we were charged for our middle son and when we got there he was under a metre tall so would have had free entry and couldn't go on alot of the rides because of his height. We did complain and get our money back though.

We also went to the crocodile park where there was a tour guide who went in beside them and smacked the croc's around the head with a stick - which the kids found amusing! He was a bit like that Crocodile man on the telly - can't remember his name now....

They also got to hold a baby one and have their pictures taken which they enjoyed.

All in all we made the best of our holiday. The facilities were fantastic and lots to do just a shame about the food to be honest or else I really would recommend it as a great holiday. But I don't think we will be back again!

We returned yesterday from the Holiday Village and would say that we had a fab holiday, This holiday was a replacement holiday for the one that was cancelled by our tour operator due to building works not being finished. The food which I know a lot of people have commented on HAS improved, apparently the chef has been paid off and the husband and wife team from last season have been pulled back in, we noticed the difference straight away, the food now to the beginning of our holiday was in a different league.

I agree with previous comments about the cleanliness of our room, although towels and bed linen changed regularly and our bed was made up everyday (I was naughty and didnt make ours in the morning) the floors always seemed grubby.

There is a big problem with grabbing a sunbed around the main pool, we only managed to sit twice in two weeks around this pool where others had been up at the crack of dawn to lay towels, I know this happens at nearly every holiday complex but it did bug us. We loved the beach club pools which are so safe for little ones, we have an 18 month baby and he was totally safe playing in the water. The jacuzzi beds in the upper level of the beach club are also fab. In fact the swimming pools at the holiday village are lovely, we did feel though that the pool surrounding areas could do with more of a wash down each day as there was a big ant problem over at the beach club where soft drinks had been spilt the previous day and not cleaned up.

I think the hotel to look at inside and out is stunning, we stayed in a room overlooking the railway line, which on first glance I was not happy about, but to be honest it was so quite on that side (with exception of the trains) oh and the donkey ha ha, its amazing how much noise one donkey half way up a mountain can make - bless him, on this side of the hotel we had the hot spanish sun on the balcony until late.

There are no clothes airers or washing lines at all, which was a bit of a pain, I did use the washing machines and tumble driers but it was rather expensive as one token for the tumble gave you 30 mins drying time and left your clothes still very wet, you will need 4 tokens in all for one load of washing/drying which will be 10 euros in total.

The staff we dealt with at the holiday village were all very happy and friendly.

One word of warning is the sea - please look out for the tiny red flag warnings we didnt see these (as they were surrounded by other country flags flying or the world cup) and my partner nearly drowned in the sea. He needed treatment by the emergency services and luckily he is ok, he was caught by an undercurrent in the sea and was struggling for over 15 mins to get back to shore, a very scarey moment for us all, also luckily we had our E111 cards on us which enabled him to free emergency treatment.

We too went to Tivoli world, the croc park and the aqua park and had a great time at all three, ive taken over 300 photos on this holiday as we were constantly seeing and doing things.

All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday at the holiday village we wouldnt return again as there are so many other places we wish to visit. But we would recommend this hotel to other families.

I read a few reviews just before we went away, and when I saw some of the comments I was a little concerned about how the holiday would be. However, I do feel that one's ability to enjoy a holiday is all about expectations and realism!

We travelled with our 19mth old son - his first time abroad - and we really enjoyed ourselves at this resort. OK, so our room overlooked the nearby railway line but these are electric trains and you barely notice them. And yes, the hotel IS miles from the town but - hey - the brochure tells you this so we weren't worried.

We took a bus to Fuenguerola one day and it wasn't much of a problem even with our young son. The journey takes 15 mins or so, and sometimes they charge for little ones and sometimes not.

Our toddler went to the on-site Creche where we found the staff to be very caring and they helped settle all the children in, many of whom were upset when they first went - as you'd expect - but were smiling broadly when collected. There seemed to be masses to do for older children around the resort, and adults too if you like to get involved.

The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms very well equipped. Pools were great, and a real find was the indoor pool - if your toddler is like ours and won't sit still for 30 seconds and you don't want to go through the whole suncream palaver just for 45mins in the outdoor pool, then pop down to the spa pool instead.

The food was great. Of course, there was a lot of repetition, but the choice is so wide that even if all the same dishes were offered every night (which isn't the case) you could have meat & two veg one day, chinese stir-fry the next, pasta and sauce the next and so on. We thought the quality was the best we'd had in a hotel of this rating. No complaints.

The staff are all friendly, especially towards the children which made all of us feel very welcome. Our room was cleaned adequately and promptly and the fridge restocked.

I can't comment on the evening entertainment because our son was in bed early, and our only complaint would be that the lifts take ages to arrive and break down frequently.......but we weren't exactly in a hurry to get anywhere so it hardly matters.

If you've booked this hotel, or are thinking of doing so, I'd say go with confidence.

We visited this hotel two years a go when it first opened and can honestly say very little has changed.

The food was the same standard, with theme nights each
evening. All inclusive snacks were exactly the same and cheese was included on burgers and toasties etc.

The food in the beach club was also good with plenty of choice to suit anybody (unless you are very fussy). Visiting this every day broke the day up and some days we would stay there having spent the morning by the main pool.

Getting drinks in the evening by the entertainment had changed for the better than previous. There were three small queues to get drinks and plenty of staff as well as big measures. The same system applied during the day. We could not fault this.

The rooms were cleaned approx 6 days with fresh towels each time.

The only complaint was in the beach club restaurant where food on the floor was not being cleaned up as quick as it should have been.

The location is out of the way but as we have now been twice and have never gone off site, this can't be a problem if you are all inclusive.

The hotel staff were more pleasant than last time and we never had a problem.

The entertaiment was adequate and watchable. If you like bingo, full house prizes were 500-900 euros, which is worth a go.

The kids club and kids club reps were excellent. They both ran 7 days a week 3-8 year olds both all day and in the evening. The creche ran in line with the kids club times with two 3 hour sessions per week. All staff were excellent and always spent time settling the little ones in the creche. There were also other ad-hoc activites going on all day.

If anybody is visiting this hotel in my opinion ignore
the bad points and judge for yourself.

I think the holiday village is lovely it is 1.05 euros to the town the buses are every half hour.

Tora Blanca is a good place to eat as the food is a bit expensive.

When we arrived we were not met by any one to find a coach after a half an hour I asked a girl and she said you are going by taxi and going home the reps were no good not helpful.

There is seven swimming pools and a in door one Benalmadena and Fuengiorla and Torremolinos are just one stop of the bus from each other. The aqua park and zoo are great and crocodile park

I would go back again to many reps and not helpful the ones that work at the receptionists at the desks are nicer.

The cleaners come in every day clean towels every day.

Lovely place the best in Benalmadena. Beach club great.

I stayed at Holiday village for 1 week however it was definitely not long enough!

The hotel is fantastic and will suit various peoples needs.
There were so many sun loungers to choose from so you dont need to be awake in ridiculous hours in the morning to get a decent bed. They offer free towels and mats which is also a bonus.

There were so many pools to choose from! It was a bit of a pain having to go across the bridge if you wanted to get to the other pools but it was there where the best pools were, I also think it was the quietest.

The food was good but repetitive which is normally quite common in all inclusive hotels. There is a microwave which was good as the food was not always that hot.

The entertainment was good after 9pm. The reps were great. Me and my boyfriend played bingo every night and they put on shows and activities which were always a laugh.

The rooms were very impressive and kept clean. I was surprised at how big they were. There was one downside tho which might not apply to all the rooms. One night the wind was fairly strong and all you could hear was a loud whistling noise from the gap in the door.

The staff were all friendly and most of the people visiting the hotel were English which i think it a good thing.

Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! Kids would also love it.

The hotel was spotless.

The staff were friendly and got to know you.

The pool has a lifeguard on at all times which gave you peace of mind.

The restaurant was clean and alway tidy plenty of food to choose from.

Children could not leave the complex without a swipe card.

Bus stop right out side the complex.

The complex has a bridge which has more pools and another restaurant in on the other side.

Would stay here again kids loved it loads for them to do e3 staff were always on the go to keep the entertained
