A beautiful hotel new and with stunning interior public spaces apartments are excellent, well laid out and spacious.

The exterior spaces are lovely and the island area is like something at Disney, that good. Everything is so clean and well looked after.

The staff are extremely friendly.

We went all inclusive at the end of the easter hols. The all inc drinks were good with agood selection however, the food was awful the restaurants being noisy and crowded, none of the food was properly labelled apart from the bleeding obvious,: French fries: soup of the day: fish: yet there were 'things' there I couldn't identify without tasting.

Don't get me wrong this is definitely a family hotel with superb kids facilities with everything for the adults in a secure complex but not for foodie couples wanting a culinary experience and a quiet break without children.

The hotel is awee bit out of the way but you have everything on-site we hired acar so the position never bothered us.

Didn't enjoy this holidy at all we stayed all inclusive and felt we were treated a bit like second citizens.

The food was ok for the first few days but couldn't survive eating there for two weeks. None of the food was marked so you hadn't a clue what you were eating my son put milk over his breakfast cereal and it came out in lumps.

The location of the hotel wasn't good you had to travel either by taxi or bus to go anywhere.

The entertainment was very poor the second week was just about the same as the first.

We were woken up at 6am every morning with the noise of the trains and them blasting there horns everytime they passed which was about every twenty minutes or so. At 8am we were woken again with building work going on they were building a train station. I did ask to be moved the very first morning but this was refused they eventually moved us at the end of our first week by this time our holidy was ruined. When they did eventually move us they put us at the other end of the hotel beside the main dual carriageway. There was broken glass over our floor of this room.

Our kids weren't allowed to even throw a ball to each other in their pool I understand about the safety and security that they were trying to put into place but our kids were very bored they tried to have a bit of a water fight and were told not even to throw water at each other.
Other kids were playing football in the main part of the hotel at night time because they were so bored.

Would I use this hotel again no! This has also put us off all inclusive as well, when we arrived we were given an all inclusive menu this changed a few days later and some of the food the kids were eating we now had to pay for as they decided the all inclusive customers weren't getting as big a choice as the self catering customers. A few days after that they were even cutting the hotdogs in half before they put them on the rolls.

This wasn't a cheap holiday and was supposed to be 4 stars we have been to 2 star holidays before and were treated with a lot more respect and had better value for money.

We really enjoyed our holiday at this Hotel it was clean the rooms modern and plenty of room, we had a lovely view of the pools and the sea from our balcony.

The food was very good for a hotel this size, but we did feel the food should be labelled, didn't always no what was on offer even the soup we had to guess by the look of it.

The staff were very friendly, there was plenty to do for the children. This is though a family Hotel I would not advice it for just couples.

The entertainment we thought was very good, but the room for the entertainment is not good only the people in the middle of the room can see but I believe in the summer months this is moved outside.

I would visit this hotel again for a family holiday. Before you book any of the excursions with your reps I would go to into the resort and check the prices you can go for there they are much cheaper.

We stayed at the Holiday Village Benalmadena. I had requested a lower floor sea view room but didnt get our sea view. Reception agreed to change the room as soon as possible and the following day we had a note under the door saying we could change, but by this time we had decided to stay put as we had the sun in the afternoon and into the evening, and being on floor "0" only had one flight of stairs to get back to our room!

Food in the main restaurant was lovely although a bit repetitive, also the Mexican and Italian were great.

Cleanliness was excellent, staff very friendly, entertainment team were brillian - they worked so hard. First Choice reps were always around - best I've seen anywhere.

We will definately be visiting again with the children.

The complex was as expected and more absolute class.
We stayed in the Holiday Village Finguerola which is a large complex with lots of swimming pools and nice bars. We were self catering and the equipment was fine. Apartment was great with a smashing lovely big bathroom.
Great balcony with sea view and lovely view of sunset and sunrise.

Staff friendly, First Choice people excellent best I have dealt with.

Didn't see much of entertainment but ok. Entertainment room not great but goes outside in season.

8yr old loved clubs, pools and staff.

Location is a bit out of the way but great access to bus and taxi services.

Would not go high season as probably overrun with kids but end of April ideal. Would go back either here or to another Holiday Village with grandkids

Took the trip to Gibraltar Dolphins, island tour one it was really excellent.

From the previous reviews on here we were not sure what to expect, however, we have just had our best family holiday yet!

The hotel was superb, lots (9 I think)of clean pools (though a bit cold in April), lots to do, excellent helpful hard working staff with a great attitude to helping you enjoy your stay and the First Choice Holiday Reps were the best I have dealt with anywhere. We had an initial problem with our room allocation - but this was very quickly resolved to our satisfaction.

Our room was much better then we imagined. Balcony with sea and pool view, air con, main bedroom with 2x doubles, lounge with a sofa that turned into 2 singles, separate kitchen with microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, sink etc. Bathroom was huge with 2 washbasins, 2 showers, bath, loo, bidet. Room was cleaned, fridge restocked and towels changed every day.

The all inclusive was great - all day ice cream for the kids was an obvious winner but they loved their hotel swipe cards that allowed them to get it them selves! There isnt really anywhere else nearby to eat but the HV is well served with restuarants with a wide range of an all you can eat buffet.

Lunch was at the beach bar across the road (no problem as it is all enclosed within the HV complex with a bridge over the road. Depending on the time we went down, there were a few queues but they soon cleared. 3/4 length trousers at least for men in the evening restuarant - no problem with that.

The whole complex is secure, with only hotel residents allowed in through the single gate entrance. The entertainment in the hotel was a bit hit or miss; the indoor area is not good enough but outdoor in the summer should be great.

The kid's clubs were happening all day every day and the staff/minders had a great fun attitude. It was drop in/out as you please and we were never hassled or pressed to take part in anything that we didnt want to. Just as well because the kids were just as happy to do their own thing.

It was a great relaxing week that allowed us quality family time and I would definitely go there again. Hot tips: If going with 1st Choice - pre book aircraft seating, have the in flight meal and go all inclusive (costs more than self cat but less than trying to find food elsewhere) - its supposed to be a holiday!!

Travelled to this hotel in April, weather was lovely I was looking forward to our holiday for a year.

Hotel couldn't fault it clean etc.

We went all inclusive which we do most holidays the food was not very nice especially lunch at the Beach Club it had the same most days and the same funny smell.

Staff were always very polite cleaned rooms every day with clean towels it was just to out of the way for us. Torremolinos 35 mins in bus Fuengirola 20 mins, taxis outside hotel also has a bus stop the buses were quite reliable so easy to come back. We like a hotel where you can take a walk at night and it's not too far this one you can't, which lets it down in my view.

Entertainment was a disgrace so much so we would sit and play cards it did not help the kids much they were bored to tears and I mean literally if we could walk somewhere interesting it would not have been so bad.

Would I visit this hotel again NO!!! Worst holiday ever.

PS Pool was beautiful, beach club pools gorgeous kids were not allowed to have any kind of inflatables whatsoever in pool first time come across that rubbish rule hope this has helped make your mind up sorry not usually this negative.

First impression of hotel is wow!

Fab reception area and room was very nice too, shame we did not have pool and sea view though. We were at the back of hotel which faces railway and mountain, not disturbed by trains though.

My sister who came with us had room at front of hotel with lovely views.

The beach club side of hotel was excellent. The water was a bit cold for adults in April so we didn't take advantage of the outdoor jacuzzi's. The children loved the splash park - the temperature did not bother them at all!! Indoor pool and jacuzzi's nice, didn't use gym facilities.

The food was lovely. Breakfast and Evening dinner at main restaraunt and lunch was served at the beach club. Food from snack bar was very good too.

The location is not that great. As stated in brochure it's in between Benalmedena and Fuengirola. We had a taxi into both towns just to have change of scenery and escape the evening entertainment . . . or lack of!

The security at the hotel is very good and we felt very secure during our stay. The security men do not let any taxis into grounds without the occupants showing their passes.

The childrens clubs were brilliant and the daytime entertainment made up for the really bad evenings.

The staff at hotel were all friendly and the maids did a great job.

We would visit this hotel but only if the evening entertainment team changed.

If we had read some of the reviews on here before we booked we probably would not have done so.

We do not usually go for the package holiday but it made a pleasant change for it all to be done for us, particularly as it was a last minute decision to go.

We opted for the self catering option mainly because we did not want to turn into alcoholics for the week (we wanted a break from that!!)No the supermarket isn't great but it is a hotel shop. There is a better one within walking distance in Fuengirola which conveniently is opposite a restaurant which does fab sardines.

We were impressed with everything from cleanliness, service, resort (even Walt Disney would have been proud of the elephants and pirate ship!) and standard of room.

It's a great place for kids with wall to wall entertainment. Not my cup of tea but the entertainers were gracious enough to leave me alone when they asked if I wanted to play the 'ball into the cup game' for a cocktail, they obviously understood my look said 'leave me alone to fry in the sun!'

Our advice to anyone is to go out of season, miss the queues and rowdy Brits and take a tin opener!!

We would not plan to go back but if a good deal came our way we would jump at the chance (particularly with First Choice).

15 of us travelled to this complex and we all said the same on arrival WOW! looking around first impressions were fantastic, staff were very helpful and friendly, the place is exceptionally clean, the apartments are huge, the security is excellent,we stayed 14 nights and did not want to come home, we didn't have to look after ourselves, we were looked after from start to finish.

We all have different expectations for a holiday, this one exceeded all of ours and if you manage to please 12 adults and 3 children collectively it must be a winner.

Well worth a visit out of peak times.
