The hotel has a spa, located on the second floor of the hotel next to the indoor pool, which beauty and health treatments can be booked. It is worth asking reception about these on arrival.

Ask for a room with a balcony that has table & chairs. Rooms at the front will incur some traffic noise as overlook a busy road.

Torremolinos is a busy resort with lots going on. The Luca Costa Lago is a bit out of the resort centre and a good 15 minute walk but there are plenty of bars & shops on route and the walk in is flat and quite pleasant. Most attractions in the area were very reasonably priced, like Tivoli World, Cable cars, Marineland etc and the taxis were really reasonable too. There are lots of play areas for kids along the beach and there are amusements & trampolines too. I have been to this area a few times and this is the second time I've stayed in Torremolinos so I probably would try another resort in the future.

The resort was clean, tidy with many high 1970s buildings.

Pavements are well maintained though rather short on lowered sections.

Entertainment is good, more so for the young 20s etc, plenty of pubs for older people.

Beach dont know anything, could not get wheelchair to it.

Taxi drivers only wished to transport here not give diretions by road.

Would I visit resort again, yes in a late deal.

The resort seemed quite clean, the occasional smell, drainage, no rubbish left around.

The entertainment I can't really say much about. Beach-ball games on the beach, open-air cinema there, flamenco dancing also on the beach. The standard of the beach, strong currents at times, the sea didn't seem very clean, a personal ladies toiletry swam up along side me so I only went in the sea twice, that really put me off.

Didn't like Torremolinos much, would not return.

The town was nice but the steps leading up the hill to it were exhausting, 7 euros in the taxi is the easiest way, train fares are cheap 1.50 euros return to Benalmadena.

Not many duty free shops for tobacco etc, but they are there.

Lots to see and do in this resort.

The Marina is 2 minutes walk from this hotel and is a must to see. For those who enjoy a fairground then go to Tivoli World, you pay one price (14.95 euros per person) and can be there all night and go on the rides as much as you like.

Lots of trips to go on if this is what you want. Lots of nice walks, especially from the centre of Torremolinos down to Benalmadena (about 1 hour).

Beach cleaned daily. We would certainly visit this resort and this area again.

Torremonlinos is nice resort - can't really comment on the entertainment in the resort - as stayed in hotel complex most nights.
Beach is nice if you like beaches.

The resort itself was clean and tidy, although not much for kids to do, went into Benalmadena, and had a meal over looking the harbour ,this is a lovely resort much nicer than Torremelinos.

Lots of steps down to beach from hotel, not very easly if elder or with kids, and a no no if in need of wheelchair,
night life, well all local bars etc, but as im only 31 2 options really.

1, 24 hour square (plaza solymar) pubs clubs loud music was fun, reasanble prices,

2, marina, more a mix age but was lovly lots more choice, if you did pub crawl you could not make all bars, but the price is probaly about 30% above the 24hr square.

Both these places are in belemidina 7-8 euro taxi from hotel
while on about taxis, dont bother paying for tranfer, as airport in 10 min from hotel, 12-15 euro for 4 in cab, better then paying £15 each transfer.

Getting There
Getting to Torremolinos by train or taxi from Malaga Airport couldn't be easier, the train station at Malaga Airport is just a few minutes walk from the Airport terminal, turning right on leaving the terminal building, down the walkway to the small train station. Before entering the nearside platform you need to buy your train ticket from the vending machine at the end of the walkway which cost just over €1 so make sure you have change handy when you land, the train journey only takes approximately 15 minutes right in to the heart of Torremolinos main square. A Taxi ride will cost around €15.

The centre is good for shopping with many gift shops. San Migel Street is the main pedestrian street which runs across the top of the main square were you can stroll your way down to the winding steps at the end of San Migel to the beach, on the way back take a break at one of the many resturant/bars for a cool glass of your favourite tipple.

Night Life
Torremolinos early night life (up to around 1pm) is mostly small bars with the odd pub sized venue with many holiday makers spending time eating and drinking at the many restaurant/bars just off the main square, again the night life for the young at heart only kicks off late in to the night. There are clubs open earlier but the majority will be fairly empty until later. Hollies Irish Bar and El Open Arms Karaoke bar are about the liveliest we found early on.
For something a little livelier you can take a taxi to 24hr square in Benalmadena for around €6, the square has many pubs and clubs in a small area, again it only gets going later on, if you go early you will probably get pestered by the touts from each venue as you pass but if you can either ignore them or take up their offers of free shots and free admission to find yourself sitting alone in a club, have a look first before accepting the touts tempting offers. If you go later in to the night when the clubs tend to get in to the swing of things (around 1am) then hoards of likewise partygoers throng to the square.

Eating Out
If eating and drinking is your thing then a wonder down to the part old Torremolinos will be a delight were many fish restaurants can be found both on the promenade or in the back street running parallel with the beach, this will not disappoint.
The old town promenade is a pleasant stroll during the day and takes you through to Benalmadena approximately half hours walk or a €1 bus ride from Torremolinos were the marina and surrounding buildings make a wonderful setting for that all important holiday photo shoot, not to be missed.

Places To Go & Things To Do
Also at Benalmadena is the cable car which takes you up the mountain for €8 and takes approximately 15 minutes to the top, there are donkey rides, birds of prey sanctuary and a small arena were dressage is held, check the times of events before going up as there is a long wait between showtimes and while waiting for the birds of prey demonstration make sure you don't miss the dressage event which only lasts about 15 minutes. A small cafe and refreshment hut is also at the top with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and coastal towns below. Take the train to Benalmadena and the cable cars are only a few minutes walk. Adjacent is Tivoli World Theme Park which can be viewed from the cable car as you pass over, not that big and probably suit up to the younger teenager with shows and smaller rides compared with the main stream Theme Parks.

Torremolinos Water Park
Torremolinos water park has some major water slides and rides to scare the pants off you and can be found just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Torremolinos.

Mijas
Mijas is a delightful village on the side of a mountain above Benalmadena, take a donkey ride through the streets, visit the small church in a cave or try the bull fight on a Sunday evening, the views are fantastic from the ridge with plenty of good resturants and gift shops down the small alleys.

Fuengirola Market
Further afield is the massive market at Fuengirola worth a trip on the train for €2 but many stalls selling the same things, handbags, belts and sunglasses but just enough variety to keep you interested.
If the rich and famous is to your liking Puerto Banus is the place to visit, approximately 30 miles from Torremolinos were the jet set display their wealth with posh cars and boats the size of cross channel ferries grace the marina, the small beach around the headland is were the young rich kids strut their stuff.

Gibraltar
A trip to Gibraltar is a must if you can spare a day of your holiday were a cable car ride to the 2 stations on the rock and feed the monkeys will only set you back about €14, be aware of the taxi touts on the way to the rocks cable car they will attempt to persuade you to take a taxi up the rock for €25 claiming that the cable car is €22. The trip to Gibraltar can be booked through the many outlets in Torrominos at a cost of only €20 to €30 or even to Morocco in Africa for around €30 to €40 all in.

Car Hire
If you fancy driving try a hire car, Crown Car Hire being one of the cheapest car hire around and can be booked over the internet which is cheaper than booking when you get there.

Hope this help you get a taste of Costa De Sol and gives you some ideas of what to do when in torremolinos.
